5 TOWN OF NTARIO WAYNE COUNTY S COMMUNITY OF GOOD NEIGHBORS MEMORANDUM: TO: FROM: RE: Ontario Town Board William I. Riddell Formation of Aquatic Center Project Account DATE November 16, 2018 Town Board members Over the past six months the Parks and Recreation Department has been exploring the idea of developing an Aquatic Center within the Town of Ontario. This exploration has been fueled by the acknowledgement of a possible $500,000 dollar private donation which would become available if an Aquatic Center was approved for construction. With this in minded the department is requesting that an H83 Project Account be established by the Ontario Town Board. This project account would be initially used in the formal formation of a conceptual plan and project proposal. If the project proceeded forward it would then be used as the Project expense account. I am proposing that the initial funding of this account will be done through both Private and Parkland Development Funds. The goal is to raise an initial funding level of $10,000. I have been in contact with a second private donor within the community that is willing donate to start this initial fund. I am anticipating requesting approximately $8,000 to be used out of the Parkland Development Fund. Thank you

(315) Ontario, NY To: Town Board From: Adam Cummings Date: 11/19/18 Subject: IT Network and Computer Upgrades The NYS Comptroller recently issued strong recommendations related to the current state of the information technology infrastructure (IT) and cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the Town. To remedy the situation, the Town solicited proposals from several IT vendors to upgrade the PC/Workstations in the Town to fully supported operating systems.
