1 The SONOTON storage server offers different protocols which all use SSL secured communications. All protocols will work with the login details given to you by SONOTON. Overview: Protocols supported: HTTPS WebDAV FTP (TLS) SFTP/SCP (Port 2222) Web Download/Upload (HTTPS) URL: Protocol: https (443) This allows very easy access to the storage location. Individual file download as well as full directory downloads (as ZIP file) and also downloads by using a download basket are possible. Log in with your username/password: After successful login you will find a listing of available folders. Navigate through the folders and choose your download. You can also search for parts of the filename to easily locate files within different folders.

2 FTP FTP-Server: download.sonoton.com Protocol: FTP(s) with TLS Port: 21 You can use FTP with your favorite FTP client. If you get a certificate accept request on first login you might have to accept the certificate once. Sample screen with FileZilla: SFTP/SCP (SecureCopy) SCP-Server: download.sonoton.com Protocol: SFTP/SCP Port: 2222 Please check that your connection is to Port 2222.

3 WebDAV URL: Protocol: https Port: 443 (default) WebDAV is supported by a variety of operating systems and third party software. See below for instructions on Win10 and Mac. WEBDRIVE ON WINDOWS 10 INTRODUCTION WebDrive makes it possible to reach your documents while you are working at home and/or on your mobile device. You can reach your data by using Finder, Windows Explorer or a mobile device with WebDAV app (e.g. GoodReader, WebDAV Navigator). It is not possible to copy big files, like CDs or big programs; maximum file size is 50 MB. If you want to upgrade this can be done through using the MS Fix-it or by changing the registry yourself and restart the webclient-service. Connecting through web browsers like Internet Explorer and others is Not possible!. To reach your data, you use a WebDAV protocol. There are several WebDAV clients for different platforms (Apple Mac OS, ios, Microsoft Windows and Ubuntu Linux). Because the data is transported via internet, you can reach your data nearly everywhere. BEFORE YOU GET STARTED This manual has been written for Windows 10. It is possible that the images for other versions of Windows are slightly different, but the steps are nearly identical. There is another manual for Mac and mobile devices. When working through the manual, you will frequently have to perform operations. A specific style of writing is used for these instructions: references to text and buttons on screens are printed in italics, data that you have to enter yourself is printed in bold. WEBDAV-THROUGH FILE EXPLORER STEP 1: ADD NETWORK DRIVE Click This PC. Click Map network drive. Click below Map network drive.

4 STEP 2: SERVER ADDRESS In the field behind Drive, select a capital for a server that is free (e.g. W:). In the field behind Folder, enter Select Reconnect at logon. Select Connect using different credentials. Click Finish. STEP 3: LOGIN In the first field, enter <username>. In the second field, enter the appropriate password. Select Remember my credentials.

5 WEBDRIVE FOR MAC OS X 10.8 INTRODUCTION WebDrive enables you easy access to documents from your workplace at home or from a mobile device (smartphone or tablet). You can access your data through Finder, Windows explorer, or a mobile device with a WebDAV app (for example GoodReader, WebDAV Navigator). A limitation of WebDrive is that it is not suitable for transferring or copying very large files like cd s or large programs. The maximum file size is set at 30MB. WebDrive uses the WebDAV protocol via internet to access your data stored at the file servers. There are several WebDAV clients for several platforms like Apple Mac OS, ios, Microsoft Windows and Ubuntu Linux. You can access your documents almost anywhere because the data is transported through the interne. You do not need a VPN connection for this. The data is safely transported with the use of a HTTPS connection. This is a secure (encrypted) connection so that all the information is transported safely. BEFORE YOU BEGIN This manual has been written for MAC OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion). In previous Mac versions, the graphics can be different, but the steps are almost identical. When going through the manual, you will regularly have to perform certain actions. For these, a fixed form of notation has been used in this manual: references to texts and buttons on screen are in italics, data that you will have to fill in yourself are in bold. WEBDAV ACCESS VIA FINDER Step 1: Connect to the server Click in Finder at the menu bar on Go Click Connect to Server Step 2: Server Address Fill in at Server Address: Click the + icon Click Connect

6 Step 3: Login Select at Connect as: the option Registered User. Fill in at Name: <username>. At Password fill in the corresponding password. Thick the box Remember this password. Click Connect
