For finl ssemly on stright plugs, move oupling ring forwrd nd srew in ple on plug su-ssemly. Strip le s shown. Be reful not to nik enter ondutor or outer rid. Twist outer rid in lokwise diretion so tht t lest / of le dieletri is red, nd rid is left flt. (stry or loose rid n use shorts.) Gently insert enter ondutor into k end of onnetor, feeling it into the guide hole. (If enter ondutor is not properly in ple, out /8 of enter ondutor will show t the k end. Reinsert until le dieletri rehes position shown in illustrtion.) Push the le firmly in ple (s fr s possile). Then srew the onnetor onto the le in lokwise diretion until it stops. Assemly is omplete.

For solid ore les, ly rid k out of the wy while trimming ore; then ly rid down gin to filitte Step. Slide rid lmp over rid until inner shoulder utts ginst jket. (Note: shrp edge of rid lmp goes towrd V-groove in lmp gsket.) Fold rid k evenly over rid lmp s shown. Slide sleeve over le so tht rid ottoms inside sleeve. Solder ontts to ondutors, using minimum het. Remove ny exess solder. Alterntive method: Crimp enter ontts. Bend ondutors nd ontts out nd k to otin.50 (6. mm) sping etween ontts. Insert ontts into rer of insultor. (Note: for Belden 907 nd similr solid ore les, ontt on re opper ondutor (or for Belden 87 nd similr ir dieletri les) the ontt on white insulted ondutor goes into hole with dot next to it. Slide insultor to utt ginst sleeve s shown. 5 Insert ssemly into onnetor ody, ligning slot of insultor with polrizing key in ody. Tighten lmp nut to 50l/in (5.7 N-m) torque. Do not twist onnetor ody. d For les with foil, trim foil flush with jket. For les with filler,mke sure filler is kept in enter. Do not mix filler in with rid.
