3 1. Before you strt 1.1 Fstener reommendtions for fitting Prowler Proof seurity doors IMPORTANT NOTES:. Prowler Proof seurity doors re not supplied with fixing srews.. Use the elow fstener when fixing into metl. Wurth rnd fsteners re ville for ordering from Prowler Proof.. For fstening into other fixing mterils, the instller must selet nd use fsteners pproprite to the mteril into whih they re fixing. d. Pith = For fixing n interlok to door, mximum entre distnes of no greter thn 300mm should e used. 4 2.1 Trim Interloks Prowler Proof supplies interloks t stndrd sizes of 2100mm, 2500mm, or in ustom ut lengths. If your interloks re ut to wste:. Clulte door opening drop less interlok lerne.. Using your tpe mesure, mrk this mesurement on interlok.. Use sw to ut interlok to size. 2.2 Instll Interlok Stile TRE P Mesure nd mrk 50mm in from top nd ottom of the fixed pnel stile interlok.. Insert Interlok Stile under fixed pnel stile interlok.. Using Zer Pis Pn Hed fsteners, fix the interlok to stile t two mrked positions, using the die line s positioning guide. d. Mesure the distne etween the top nd ottom fstener positions. Divide this mesurement eqully, ensuring entre distnes for remining fsteners do not exeed 300mm. Mesure nd mrk these positions. Using Zer Pis Pn Hed fsteners fix interlok to stile t ll mrked positions, using the die line s positioning guide. e. Fit the interlok over strip over fstener reess. Step 2.2 ontinued over pge 4

6 2.3 Instll the intive lef, d Rollers retrt for snug fit. Identify the inside nd outside fes of the door pnel y loting the roller djustment srew hole, whih is positioned long the inside ottom nd top rils of the door. Roller djustment srews should never e essile from outside. You n lso identify the inside fe y the lk retiner loking lmp (on ForeField nd Prote doors).. One you hve identified the orret orienttion, lift door nd insert onto hed trk first, followed y sill trk.. If this n t e hieved, euse of tight fit, you will need to retrt the ottom rollers, y pushing them upwrds inside the stile. Rollers re spring loded to llow them to retrt. d. One rollers re retrted, you should e le to insert door onto ottom trk. 2.4 Squre pnel to jm vi rollers. Using phillips hed srew driver, djust the rollers, using the fsteners on the inside of the top nd ottom door stiles, so there is enough tension to prevent door from eing dislodged from trks.. Slide door towrds the jm until miniml dylight n e seen etween the reeiver hnnel nd the vertil door stile, top nd ottom.. Rollers now need to e djusted, using the fsteners, to ensure the door stile nd reeiver hnnel re prllel, top nd ottom. 6

7 2.5 Instll the Interlok Door Coneled P d. With door in losed position, mesure nd mrk 50mm in from top nd ottom of interlok, then position Interlok Door on triling edge of intive lef.. Fix t mrked points with Zer Pis Pn Hed fsteners, using the die line to guide positioning.. Mesure the distne etween the top nd ottom fstener positions. Divide this mesurement eqully, ensuring entre distnes for remining srews do not exeed 300mm. Fix with Zer Pis Pn Hed fsteners. d. Fit the interlok over strip over fstener reess. 7

8 2.6 Instll the Interlok Stking Coneled P Mesure nd mrk 50mm in from top nd ottom of interlok, then fix the Interlok Stking to the leding edge of the intive lef, position interlok nd fix t mrked points with Zer Pis Pn Hed fsteners, using the die line to guide positioning.. Mesure the distne etween the top nd ottom fstener positions. Divide this mesurement eqully, ensuring entre distnes for remining srews do not exeed 300mm. Fix with Zer Pis Pn Hed fsteners.. 11 2.10 Assemle furniture on lok d e f g h View the video. Asertin the desired hnding onfigurtions required.. Clik together the Internl Furniture Plte nd the Pull Hndle. Now lik together the Externl Furniture Plte nd the Pull Hndle.. Instll internl operting levers. d. Instll externl operting levers. e. Selet nd instll restritor plte (LH or RH) to externl side. f. Seure furniture pltes to door setion using 25mm srews nd plugs provided. g. Position the ylinder ssemly in the lok ody so tht the m rottes towrds the front end of the door. h. Seure with 32mm ountersunk metl thred srew supplied. Do not over-tighten this srew, s it my jm the loking mehnism. 11

12 2.11 Fsten strikers on jm d e You will reeive four strikers with every 3 point lok furniture kit. Three stinless steel (mtt finish) strikers will e in the three point hndle furniture kit nd one zin (shiny finish) striker will e in the hndle furniture pk. Disrd the zin (shiny finish) striker.. With the three strikers inserted in the min lok ody nd the top nd ottom loks, (smller striker on the min lok nd lrger strikers on top nd ottom loks) either mrk the position on the outside of the jm or remove the king from the tpe nd llow the strikers to stik to the frme. Note: Use triling edge of door for losing. Striker will then e in entre of hnnel.. Remove strikers from loks.. For the min lok, drill two Ø3mm holes nd fit to door jm where mrked using 8gx12mm or wherever possile use the lrger ountersunk fsteners (provided). d. Adjust striker to orret position nd then tighten fsteners. e. Repet the proess with the top nd ottom strikers with the fsteners provided. 12

13 2.12 Test the lok funtion d Close door to test opertion.. With the ylinder ssemled, insert the key nd rotte to the unloked position.. Rotte the key to put the lok into Pssge Mode. Both hndles will e free to operte.. Rotte the key 90 degrees to ple the lok into Privy Mode. The externl hndle will e loked nd the internl hndle, free to operte. d. Rotte the key 180 degrees to ple the lok into Dedlok Mode. Both the externl nd internl hndles will e loked, nd the lok n only e unloked y using the key Chek door With door in losed position, hek tht:. Door loses nd lthes onto the jm with the striker pltes. Interloks re engged t k of door. Ensure ll interlok over strips hve een fitted 13

14 3. Troule shooting Key does not turn ll the wy smoothly Chek djustment heights of striker pltes. Adjust s required. Chek dylight etween the stile nd hnnel to ensure prllel. Adjust rollers s required. Door does not lose to door jm Chek if the interloks re lshing. Chek position of Interlok Door nd djust s neessry. Bowing of the jm If there is owing of the jm, use the striker pkers provided in the lok furniture kit. Note: If using pkers, ensure fstener lengths re dequte.
