13 Basic perating instructins Functins Yu Can Use Basic and Enhanced Functins Yu can use all basic and enhanced cmmunicatins platfm functins that appear interactively n the screen, in the Prgram/Service menu, and when yu press functin keys. Additinal Team and Executive/Secretary Functins Page 99f. T help wking and prject grups wk tgether me efficiently, the service persnnel can cnfigure a variety f team functins, depending n yur preferences when wking in the team. Yu can use these team functins in additin t the basic and enhanced functins. In additin t call pickup, hunting grups (grup call), and call distributin grups, yu can als set up teams with multiple lines per telephne. Yu can tell if a telephne has trunk keys if yur statin number and the numbers f yur clleagues are prgrammed n trunk keys. Yu can access all lines and can als cnduct different calls simultaneusly n multiple lines. Anther team functin categy includes the executive/secretary functins, which are cnfigured by the service persnnel. Yu can use executive and secretary functins in additin t the basic and enhanced functins as well as ther team functins. An executive/secretary telephne has DSS keys f the executive secretary, trunk keys f the executive and secretary, as well as ring transfer keys. SLK Functins (ptipint 410 standard nly) If an ptipint SLK mdule is attached t yur telephne, yu can use it f SLK ( Self-Labeling Key ) functins. Yu can find a detailed descriptin f the pssibilities in the ptipint 420 user manual. Using the Telephne Efficiently Yu prbably have certain clleagues external parties with whm yu talk n the phne especially frequently. T dial these numbers faster and me cnveniently, yu can save them n keys (Saving statin numbers f reperty dialing n keys Page 28). All t ften yu reach a busy line when dialing a number. Amid the cnfusin f yur wking day, it s easy t fget t try the number again later n. T avid this, make it a habit t use the "Callback" Page 26 functin. 13

When yu receive an external call, yur telephne rings twice in rapid successin every fur secnds (dual-tne sequence). When yu receive a call frm the entrance telephne, yur telephne rings three times in rapid successin every fur secnds (triple-tne sequence). If a call is waiting, yu hear a sht tne (beep) every six secnds. The number the name f the caller appears n the display. Answering a Call With the Handset n u v The telephne rings. The caller appears n the screen. Lift the handset. Raise lwer the vlume. Keep pressing the key until the desired vlume is set. If yu are a call fwarding destinatin, yur display will shw the statin number the name f the iginat n the upper line and that f the caller n the lwer line.
