9 Real-wrld experience: imprving applicatin perfrmance in China A manufacturing site in China increased bandwidth by 4x and netwrk perfrmance imprved cmpared t previus MPLS circuit perfrmance. ERP was kept n the MPLS circuit while all ther traffic traverses Internet prvided by China Telecm and Diyixian (DYXnet) After: Befre: 9

10 Real-wrld experience: applicatin visibility ut f the bx Within minutes f deplying an SD-WAN edge at Taicang, Interface saw real-time reprts f the applicatins and devices in use n the netwrk. Interface has self-service access t this reprting data, and uses it as a trubleshting and analysis tl in its service desk What we ve seen: Applicatin-level visibility enabled Interface t identify nn-business traffic (e.g., BitTrrent) and trublesht accrdingly Interface was able t view tp talkers, surce / destinatins fr specific applicatin flws, trends ver time 10

Capacity increase f 350% t 2000% at all sites, primarily due t increased use f Internet transprt Examples: Singapre DC increase frm 2Mbps t 42Mbps; China increase frm 4Mbps t 14Mbps; Sydney DC increase frm 15Mbps t 65Mbps 2. Transitin frm Active / Backup circuits t a fully Active / Active design Backup circuit usage previusly required a manual cutver in the event f an utage, meaning the investment in the backup circuit was virtually unused 3. 25% reductin in ttal cst f wnership ver 36 mnths Including cst f change and all bandwidth increases 4. Eliminated dependence n individual circuits Pled bandwidth apprach and Dynamic Multi-Path Optimizatin mitigates the impact f a perfrmance issue r utage n a single circuit 7. Facilitated a self-service change mdel where apprpriate Replaced a cumbersme and expensive change management mdel with incumbent prvider; simple changes can be made directly by the Interface team 8. 13 We knew we were delivering a mre stable and faster WAN fr the end users but what surprised us was hw this SD-WAN prject meant IT culd enable ther functins like HR t imprve their results. In a recent emplyee survey f ur regin by HR there was great feedback frm acrss the regin Japan, Krea, China etc. that with imprved applicatin perfrmance, the emplyees feel mre engaged in the rganisatin and less remte t the cmpany.
