TROUBLESHOOTING IDENTIFYING THE POINT OF FAILURE If there are issues during any of the steps above, perform the following steps until the point of failure is identified. 1. Power off the printer using the power switch on the front plate. While the printer is powered off, reseat the power cable and the cat5 cable to ensure each have a secure connection. To do this, unplug the cables, wait 5 seconds, and then reattach the cables. 2. Power on the remote printer 3. Ensure the power light is lit and paper feeds when Feed is pressed 4. Connect the power adapter to a different power source. If possible, switch the power cable with a working printer of the same model to confirm the cable and adapter are working without issue. 5. Perform a self-test (see instructions above) 6. Select Manager > Printers 7. Select the virtual printer 8. Select Test Print 9. Return to the ticket screen. Select a ticket, add an item that is assigned to the remote printer, and select OK If you follow these steps and are unable to determine the point of failure, please contact your support team for further assistance. 6

In the Target field, add the following line to the end of the existing text: --poll-frequency 3000 (include a space and the dashes as shown) 4. Select OK 5. Launch the Workstation application 6. Enter ping followed by a space and the IP address: ping If the printer does not return the ping and displays request timed out, conduct a self test (see instructions above) 9. If the self test displays the same IP, check the POS station s IP address (This can be found on the Brain application or the lower left corner of the sign in screen) 10. If either device has an IP address which does not start with , ensure the devices are connected directly to the Harbortouch Router. If you follow these steps and are unable to determine the point of failure, please contact your support team for further assistance. 7
