6 Cloud Storage The Cloud Storage folder contains shortcuts to: Box.com Google Drive OneDrive

7 Cloud Storage The University of Miami provides free online storage access to the following providers while you are a current, degree seeking student: Box.com 25GB - x_faq/ Google Drive 30GB - drive/google_drive_faq/ One Drive 1TB -

8 Student and CaneLink Reminder: The law school account credentials: used for accessing Law School . CaneLink Credentials: JXD1234 used for accessing the CaneLink Website, logging into student workstations, Secure Canes access and sending print jobs through UPrint. Requires a change of password every 6 months.

9 Sending Prints : Click on drop down arrow on the right of the print icon, click on print. 2: Scroll Left/Right, find LabBW to print to UPrint Black and White printer. This also applies when printing to LabCOLOR, for color printing. 3: Pharos Pop Up: Enter your CaneLink Username: JXD1234 Password & name of Job. This will send your print job to the Queue.

10 1 2 Collecting Prints 1: UPrint Printers are located: D147 & D135 1 st Floor D232 2 nd Floor D332 3 rd Floor 2: Use the touch screen or swipe your canecard to log in, you can also login with CaneLink Username: 3 JXD1234 and password 3: If a paper jam/error occurs. You can pick up the Uprint Phone to call request assistance. Note: Printers do not have A4 paper In efforts to be environmentally friendly, printers default to 2-sided/duplex printing.

11 Change Password 1 1: Go to Scroll down, and click on the Student link 2 3 2: After you login, click on Options on the top right, then go to Change Your Password 3: Enter your Current Password, enter your New Password, then Confirm New Password.

12 Reminder: UMIT will never ask you for your password. Do not follow unsolicited web links received in messages. Install and maintain up-to-date antivirus software on your Laptop.

13 Law School password s can only be changed 2 ways: 1-Through OWA (Outlook Web App). 2-By visiting the Law School Student Technology Help Desk in room C118, with a UM ID (Cane Card). *-Changing this password will affect any Device/Computer associated with the Law School Student (Ex. Tablets, smart phones, etc.)

14 Computer Updates & Security Use Windows Update/Apple Software Update to keep your personal system safe from intrusions and attacks. Install and keep your antivirus software on your Laptop updated. This also applies to Adobe Reader/Flash software. Do not follow unsolicited web links received in messages. If you have any questions, please contact the Help Desk. *Refrain from installing full OS upgrades as it may cause compatibility issues with some software. (Ex. Exam4)

15 LEXIS Printing LEXIS has two dedicated laser printers located in the 2 nd floor printer room of the Law Library. Room D232

16 SecureCanes SecureCanes is the University of Miami s wireless network. It s available in most areas of the Coral Gables campus. This service provides Internet connectivity to currently enrolled law school, undergraduate and graduate students. Students can connect to SecureCanes with your CaneLink username and password.
