1 Overview... 1 Before You Begin... 1 Part 1: Installation Process Open the System Preferences Application Click on "Print & Scan" and unlock the preference pane (if necessary) Click on "+" underneath the list of printers and select "Add Printer or Scanner..." in the menu that appears An "Add" window will appear. Right click (Control + Click) on Default, and choose Customize Toolbar Drag the "Advanced" item up onto the toolbar and click "Done" Click on the Advanced button Choose Protocol and select Windows printer via spoolss Complete all the areas as in the picture below In the Use menu, Select Software Search for 3370, and select the first option. Click Ok. If you do not see this option, you need to download and install the software from the student portal Your setup box should like the image below. Click Add to finish the process. Students can currently print in the Library and Oxygen Bar Overview These directions explain how to add a networked printer on Mac OS X via the SMB protocol. This is typically used for students using BYOD devices. Before You Begin Download and install the appropriate driver for the printer. If you were a student in , and you were printing with your BYOD laptop, you will not need the software. If you are a new student, or were a year 7 student last year, you will need the software.
