1 Fly into the sky! World Airlines for FSX update - Boeing edition - Thank you for downloading the update program for Fly into the sky! World Airlines. By using this update, you can play our World Airlines on your Microsoft Flight Simulator X. In this document we will describe the installation procedure for this update. Read before Installing To use this update, following software programs are required: Microsoft Flight Simulator X ( FSX ) Fly into the sky! World Airlines ( Package ver. ) or Fly into the sky! World Airlines - Boeing edition ( Download ver. ) First, FSX should be installed in your computer. In addition, Package ver. or Download ver. shouldn t be installed beforehand. FSX should have Service Pack 1 or later fixed to your system. Service Pack is available from If you are using Package ver., you will be asked to insert the Airbus (Disk1) CD-ROM during the installation. Boeing (Disk2) is not the case. If you are using Download ver., you will be asked for the downloaded file and its serial number.

2 Installing update Follow the instructions below: 1. Preparation: Package ver. and Download ver. are different here. Package ver.: Insert Airbus (Disk1) CD-ROM to your CD/DVD drive. In a while, Installation Menu appears. Click [Exit], and the menu will close. Download ver.: We will describe here as you have your downloaded file (w-boeing.exe) in My Documents folder. If the file is in somewhere different, keep notice of it during the following description. Execute your downloaded file. When the following window appears, check if the installation path is My Documents, and click [Install]. The file will then be unpacked and the Install Menu appears. Click [Exit] and the menu will close. Open My Documents, there you will find a folder w-boeing. This is the place where you unpack the setup program described below.

3 2. Execute the update file by double clicking the downloaded program (fsx-boeing_update.exe). Within a while, Install Shield Wizard will start to begin the installation. When it is done, you will see the window shown below. Click [Next] to proceed. 3. When the License Agreement shows, read the sentences carefully. If you agree to the statements, select I accept the terms in the license agreement, then click [Next].

4 4. Here you will be asked which product type you have; Package ver. or Download ver.. Select it and click [Next]. Package ver.: The install program asks which drive has the Airbus (Disk1) CD-ROM. Select the appropriate drive, and click [Next]. In the example shown below, CD-ROM is in the R: drive.

5 Download ver.: In this window, fill in the serial number attached to your Download ver.. Now you need to check the path of the setup program. Click [Change] to define where to unpack. When the following window appears, select the folder which you unpacked the setup file in 1., then click [OK]. By default, the location is set to My Documents. When you get back to Download version Information window, click [Next].

6 5. In this window, you can choose the Setup Type. Select it, and click [Next]. Complete Recommended. Every aircrafts will be installed. Custom You can choose the aircraft to install. Also you can define the installation path. 6. When the window below appears, click [Install]. 7. The installation will take a while. Wait until it finishes. 8. If it is done, you will see the window below. Click [Finish], now the installation is complete.

7 Select Aircraft At the top middle of SELECT AIRCRAFT window, set the Publisher: as Simmer s Sky, then check Show all variations at the bottom. Now you are able to select the aircraft. When you select an aircraft, a security caution dialogue may appear. Then,Click [Install Anyway] to proceed. (The screenshot shown below is the one of Japanese version. Click the button on the left.)

8 Then you will see a dialogue shown below, click [Yes]. Changes In this update, a Boeing LR has been added. The location of antenna has been fixed. Formally, antenna may well be attached to different places among various aircrafts. However, in order to function smoothly, we determined to fix the antenna at a standard place. If you really want to replace the antenna to the right position, we have option data for that use. Follow the instructions below to apply this data. In this case, you must notice that even the antenna will be depicted as you desire, when the antenna comes to a place with a building or a tree in a back, antenna may look transparent. [Applying option data] 1. Open the folder of an aircraft which you prefer to depict the antenna at a right position. Here, we will describe the configuration procedure with Boeing (FSX)/SimObjects/Airplanes/SMS_ _W 2. In the SMS_ _W folder, there you will find Optional aircraftcfg folder. Copy Aircraft.cfg file in it. and go back to the above SMS_ _W folder and overwrite Aircraft.cfg file. 3. This configuration is complete. To replace the configuration to default, use the Aircraft.cfg file inside Normal aircraftcfg folder.

9 If you have Light bloom effect enabled, whole display might be depicted correctly, or otherwise result white screen. To prevent this failure, unable Light bloom effect. According to some test results on Windows Vista, by using Microsoft Flight Simulator X : Acceleration, Light bloom effect may not disturb aircraft depiction.

10 Uninstalling update 1. Go to the Windows Start Menu. Open [Settings] - [Control Panel]. Double-Click on [Add/Remove Programs]. * If you don t use classic style on WindowsXP, run [Add/Remove Programs] from [Start] - [Control Panel]. 2. Select Overland - World Airlines for FSX (Boeing) from the list and click the [Remove] button. When you use Windows98/Me, please click [Add/Remove] button. 3. When confirmation dialogue is displayed, clicking [OK] will remove World Airlines from your PC. Please note: Do not remove the software without using [Add/Remove Programs]!
