13 How Do You Access the Crash Data? ADOT compiles all the crash data yearly. It s available for your jurisdiction. Set up an account with ADOT. Download the data to your computer. Comma delimited text file or Excel format Selected data fields only

15 Crash Data Format ADOT provides three linked tables of data for each jurisdiction for each year. Incident Table > 80 columns of data. Unit Table > 60 columns of data. Person Table > 40 columns of data.

16 County Crash Data Each County has a common border with its jurisdictions. To get all the crash data in your County, a data sharing agreement is needed with each jurisdiction.

33 Cost Savings A typical corridor (10 mile) study would budget: ~ 8 hours for coordination to request data from ADOT ~ 4 hours for QA/QC (does not include time for requesting data again if incorrect) ~ 100 hours for crash analysis, reporting, and mapping This Application would require ~ 1 hour for downloading the data from website for entire county for a year ~ 1 hour to upload the data to the database and perform QA/QC ~ 10 minutes to generate summary/detailed crash reports for any length roadway corridor and any intersection within the county
