2 font faq HOW TO INSTALL YOUR FONT You wi receive your fies as a zipped foder. For instructions on how to unzip your foder, visit LauraWorthingtonType.com/faqs/. Your font is avaiabe in two formats: TrueType Font fie (.ttf) and OpenType Font fie (.otf). If you have a Mac or newer Windows computer, insta the.otf fie(s). If you have an oder Windows computer, insta the.ttf fies. Insta the font by doube-cicking on the.ttf or.otf fie. When the popup menu appears, cick on Insta font (Mac) or Insta (Windows). Fonts may aso be instaed by dragging and dropping them into your system s font foder. After instaing your font, save a copy of the downoaded font fies in a foder on your computer as a resource in case you want to re-insta the font or transfer it to a new computer. HOW TO INSERT SWASHES, ALTERNATES, AND ORNAMENTS Some programs have a gyphs or symbo pane where the compete font incuding swashes and ornaments can be accessed and inserted directy. For programs that do not have a way to directy insert the swashes, the easiest method of putting in aternate swashes or symbos is by using either Character Map (Windows) or FontBook (Mac). Character Map (Windows) Character Map is a standard Windows utiity and can be found in the Start Menu s accessories foder (Windows XP, Vista, 7) or in A Apps under Windows Accessories (Windows 8.1, 10). Character Map can aso be found by searching for it by name.

3 Seect your font from the drop-down menu. Character Map wi show a avaiabe gyphs. To quicky find the swashes, change Group By to Unicode Subrange, and seect Private Use Characters from the pop-up menu. Cick on any swash and then copy and paste it into your document. See the Character Map Video for a demonstration. FontBook (Mac) Font Book is a standard Mac utiity program and can be found in Finder under the Go menu under Appications. Once FontBook is open, go to the View menu and seect Repertoire. Cick on User in the eft pane and then seect the font name to see a avaiabe swashes in the font. Cick on any swash and then copy and paste it into your document. 7 wafowers iii instructions How to use this font for seamess wapaper patterns: In Adobe Iustrator or InDesign, simpy type the etter associated with the pattern you desire to use, and set the eading size the same as the font size. For exampe, if the font size is 72 pt, set the eading at 72 pt.
