4 [ 1 ] Customer Tasks Basic Equipment Setup Identify server racks for the Avaya one-x Mobie Server. Note: The Avaya one-x Mobie Server requires the AES Server. Insta server(s) into rack and provide: Power Ethernet Interna IP address Ping connection from Avaya one-x Mobie interna server to AES, PBX switch and MSS servers. Note: The interna Avaya one-x Mobie Server shoud be on the same subnet as the Exchange server if using Exchange as your message store. Insta Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (Standard or Enterprise edition) with Service Pack 2 or higher on the Avaya one-x Mobie Server and add Windows components of ASP.NET and IIS. Note: If the customer purchases the Avaya hardware/software product, it comes with Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. If the customer purchases their own hardware, they can seect Standard or Enterprise. Harden servers per corporate security standards. Appy SSL certificate on outside server as required by corporate security standards. Make sure the free space on the target drive is at east 6 GB and is not an even mutipe of 4 GB. (This is a Microsoft Instaer requirement.) Note: For the AES server, foow the instructions in the AES Instaation Guide. 6 [ 3 ] Avaya Tasks Communication Manager & AES Licensing 3.1 Avaya one-x Mobie requires additiona icensing for Avaya Communication Manager and AES. This icensing is incuded in a materia code when the product is ordered. Prior to configuring Avaya one-x Mobie, perform the foowing steps: Vaidate that the foowing Avaya Communication Manager icenses exist: FEAT_ADJLK FEAT_BSCVEC FEAT_PRTVEC FEA_RCNAA_CFF REGISTRATION IP_API_A* FEAT_EC500 FEAT_XCOV_ADMIN VALUE_OPT_EC500 Vaidate that the foowing AES icenses exist: VALUE_CVLAN_VERSION VALUE_AEC_CONNECTIONS VALUE_TSAPI_VERSION VALUE_AEC_VERSION VALUE_NOTES VALUE_TSAPI_USERS Received Communication Manager icensing from Avaya? 9 [ 8 ] Customer Tasks Test Extensions for Instaation Team 8.1 Set up two test extensions for instaation team testing. Support and submit IT request to add users. Then do the foowing: Estabish extension in switch. For Avaya Communication Manager ony, appy EC500 settings and set mapping mode to termination. Estabish test users in Active Directory for authentication. Note: Avaya one-x Mobie administrative user must be abe to authenticate to this organizationa unit. Test extension 1: User name and password: Test extension 2: Username and password: [ 9 ] Customer Tasks Set up for Avaya one-x Mobie Users 9.1 Provide a user names and their extensions etc. Name Extension 9.2 Verify that a potentia users mobie devices are on the approved Avaya one- X Mobie Certified Mobie Phone List Set up data pans and SMS with user s wireess carrier. Note: It is recommended that users subscribe to an unimited data pan and SMS messaging with 200 text messages per month. An exampe of a data pan is Cinguar - Media Net. An exampe of an unimited text messaging pan is Text/Instant Messaging 200.) Schedue users for a 30- to 60-minute training session on the morning foowing Avaya one-x Mobie Server instaation. Data pans must be purchased through individua wireess carriers.

10 Access to Microsoft Exchange is required by the Avaya one-x Mobie Server to provide the Avaya one-x Mobie Visua Voicemai functionaity. The Domain User is used by the Avaya one- X Mobie Appication Suite to access voice messages from user mai boxes for this purpose. 10 Avaya one-x Mobie November 2007

11 To create a domain user: 1. In the Active Directory Users and Computer, create a domain user account in the domain where your Microsoft Exchange server resides. NOTE: If you have mutipe Microsoft Exchange Servers, perform the foowing tasks on each Microsoft Exchange Server used by the Avaya one-x Mobie Appication Suite. 2. In the Microsoft Exchange System Manager, assign the permissions to Domain User as foows: a. Navigate to the Maibox Store of the Microsoft Exchange Server. b. Right cick Maibox Store and seect Properties. c. Seect the Security tab. d. Cick the Add button and add the Domain User. e. Assign the foowing permissions to the Domain User: Read Execute Deete Read permission Change permission List contents Read properties Write properties List object Open mai send queue Receive As Send As 3. Once these permissions have been appied to the Domain User, stop and restart the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant Service, Microsoft Exchange MTA Stacks Service, and Microsoft Exchange Information Store Service. Optionay, you can wait for the update period to pass (usuay around 24 hours) when the permissions assigned to the Domain User read into the Microsoft Exchange Appications.
