This year is not a costume party, but you are welcome to wear one (especially to hide from the zombies..yes, zombies!!...lurking around the room.) There will be a Thriller dance team showing us all their moves on the floor and some fun games to play. We ll eat Subs from Jersey Mikes, so you won t go hungry. If you aren t a fraidy cat, come out to our ticket sales on Tuesday, October 13, from 4pm-5pm. Tickets are only $10 per person and you must be a dues-paid member to purchase tickets. Remember, our new fiscal year begins in October, so you must pay 2016 dues to buy tickets. 2 Page 2 Looking for Newsletter/Internet people We are looking for someone to write our newsletter and/or manage our s and website. If you are interested in managing our tech, you should be familiar with management programs (we use Mail- Chimp) and website management (we use Fatcow or Weebly). If you have writing and creative skills, we are looking for someone to write our monthly newsletter. Must have computer knowledge to build the newsletter, insert images, and convert to a pdf. If you are interested, please contact Penny Timson at pennytimson@ymail.com. Euchre Card Want to learn to play Euchre? Group leader, Jim Brown, invites everyone to join his Euchre card group. Contact Neil at: neil.timson@yahoo.com or call for more information. This group meets on Monday, 10am-11:50am, at Sterling Heights. HOLIDAY PARTY RESERVATIONS It s time to reserve your tickets for our fabulous, glitzy Holiday Party!! You ll find a reservation form attached to this newsletter. Just fill it out and turn it in at our Ticket Sales booth October 13, 4pm-5pm at the Tamarind Grove Mailbox station. Cost is $25 per person. You can reserve a table of up to 8 people, but ALL tickets for your group MUST be purchased at the same time. We cannot take partial reservations. You ll find all the details about the event on the form and the meal selections from which to choose. The Holiday Party will be on MONDAY, December 14, 6:30pm at the Savannah Center. We ll dance the night away to the great music of Flashback, the same great band we had last year! Remember, only dues paid members can purchase tickets and attend. DUES ARE.WELL, DUE. Because of the new Bylaw changes made in September, 2016 Membership dues for our club are now payable (the fiscal year is now October October) Our activities are super-fun and you don t want to miss a one! Just fill out the Membership form attached to this newsletter and bring your dues to our ticket sales table on Tuesday, October 13. Dues are a mere $5 per person...wha????...that s cheap!! 5 RESERVATION FORM LAKESIDE GROVERS SOCIAL CLUB HOLIDAY PARY SAVANNAH CENTER MONDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2015, 6:30pm Write your name and indicate your choice of entrée below. If you want to be seated with friends, all names must be on the same form. Up to eight (8) people may request seating at the same table. The cost is $25 per person. A check or checks covering the cost of everyone listed must be submitted with this form. Make checks payable to Lakeside Grovers Social Club. No cash will be accepted. Payments will not be refunded after 10/31/2015. If you cannot attend, it is up to you to contact any names on the Wait List about purchasing your ticket. We anticipate a sell out so all names on this form must be members for Dues became due on October 1, 2015 so if you have not already paid your $5, pay by a second check or cash at the time you make your reservation.
