1 2016 Media Kit The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) hosts the 2016 AAP National Conference & Exhibition on October 22-25, 2016 at the Moscone Center and Marriot Marquis, in San Francisco, CA. It is the world s largest pediatric medical education event, attended by more than 10,000 pediatricians, interns, residents, students, and allied health professionals. The AAP offers both print and digital advertising opportunities to reach the highly engaged and focused attendees. Advertising availability is limited, and space is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. All advertisers and their advertisements are subject to final approval by the AAP. 11 11 The Convention Center Doctor s Bag contains advertising inserts and is now more visible than ever before. With on-site distribution, the Doctor s Bag provides participants high visibility as energetic personnel distribute the bags to meeting attendees throughout the convention center and headquarter hotels. A copy of promotional inserts must be approved by AAP regardless of prior approval for other opportunities at the meeting. The advertiser is responsible for sending the correct number of pieces. A minimum of four pieces must be reserved per day for bag delivery to occur. Product samples approved by the AAP are welcome. Estimated total number of impressions per advertiser is 150,000 for a USonly campaign beginning the Monday before the start of the 2016 National Conference & Exhibition and ending the last day of the Conference. 13 13 One of the biggest questions asked at the National Conference is where can attendees charge their devices! Well now they can with our new Power Towers. These towers are located in very visible areas throughout the conference and provide a secured locker to recharge phones or other small devises (free to attendees). Advertisers can display messages on a large 19 inch LCD screen with speakers for audio. Charging Lounges feature an 80 inch screen on which advertisers can add logo or promotional ad. Lounges include as high top table and chairs, stool table with middle power USB. They will be in high profile areas and include couches and carpeting. Only vendors with exhibit hall options may use booth numbers in advertisements.
