RIDE Registratin/Testing Steps Prvider/Vendr will cmplete, sign and send in the Meaningful Use Registratin frm (Appendix C) t RIDE staff. If a Vendr is crdinating this fr multiple Prviders, a registratin frm must be cmpleted fr each prvider. Upn registratin, the RIDE Meaningful Use Testing Crdinatr will prvide the mst recent versin f the RIDE HL7 Implementatin Guide dcument via . Test Message Specificatins: (Current specificatins are fixed. As the system is updated ther ptins will be available) Test data frmat: HL7 v2.3.1 r v2.5.1 Data elements t send: All elements indicated in test data. Standard frmat t use: Standard delimiters and line feeds. Transprt layer specificatins: HTTPS POST r SOAP Prvider/Vendr shuld review the sample HL7 messages included in this dcument and sample data fund in NIST Guidelines. Prvider/Vendr shuld cmplete and return the RIDE Technical Checklist (Appendix A) in advance f meeting. If a Vendr is crdinating this fr multiple Prviders, a checklist must be cmpleted fr each prvider. Once the cmpleted Meaningful Use Registratin frm and RIDE Technical Checklist is received, the RIDE Meaningful Use Testing Crdinatr will cntact yu t schedule an INTRODUCTORY MEETING t discuss the testing prcess and requirements. INTRODUCTORY MEETING: Phne cnference t include the Medical Prvider s team, Prvider s EHR vendr and RIDE staff. Review testing prcess, requirements/ RIDE checklist, any required testing ptins/decisins Cnfirm that nly test r dummy data will be used (data with real patient infrmatin cannt be transmitted t the RIDE test envirnment) Test Messages t include at least tw f the test Data Sets frm NIST test prcedure dcument fund at (tw f which are supplied here in Appendix B) RIDE Frm MUCL Page 1 f 6

Define which test message data sets will be sent. Exchange any fllw-up infrmatin r specificatins requested during abve intrductry meeting. TESTING PROCESS: In advance f the agreed upn TESTING WINDOW timeframe, Prvider/Vendr will send an initial test message with test data nly via fr visual review by RIDE technical staff. During the agreed upn TESTING WINDOW timeframe, Prvider/Vendr will attempt t electrnically submit a Meaningful Use test message. RIDE technical staff will mnitr and review the test message t determine whether r nt it was successful accrding t MU Phase 1 requirements. The RIDE Meaningful Use Testing Crdinatr will send the Prvider/Vendr written Meaningful Use testing results (via ed PDF). If the results f testing are unsuccessful, the Prvider/Vendr may request a FOLLOW-UP MEETING, pending available RIDE resurces.
