Audio insertion into the flash file may begin no earlier than the second frame. If audio is used, the creative must include an On/Off switch for users. Animation is limited to the first 15 seconds, looping is unlimited within 15 seconds. Use animation carefully - keep animation smooth and fluid, using slow motion and gentle fades. Fast and abrupt motion is highly irritating. Avoid experiences that 'break through' the page or abuse the content. Flash files require an FSCommand or ClickTAG (clicktag or clicktag format only) to be embedded in the file. 3 Standard In-Footer Expandable Ad Spot Canvas Toolbar Ad Spot An initial In-Footer Expandable expands automatically and interacts with the user via a video/animation. It then resolves to an interactive In-Footer bar. Additional content can be navigated to, from the persistent In-Footer bar. With more available real estate than traditional display media, these ad formats provide the perfect venue to showcase your brand. The expandable ad runs in current ad positions and can include nearly anything you can think of: dynamic data, video streaming, polling, interactive games, and more. A Standard Expandable consists of two components: 1. The Canvas - The primary content area. Its default size is 728x90 pixels with a 2 seconds delay after user initiation which expands to 728x300 pixels, centered over the In-Footer. 2. The Toolbar - The global controls for the unit contain Branding, Social (optional) & Show/Hide or Close Buttons. You can read more about the clicktag method here. A sample clicktag method is given below for your reference: on (release){ if(_root.clicktag.substr(0,5) == " geturl(_root.clicktag, "_blank"); The clicktag must be included at all locations within the flash file, wherein clicking on that by the user, will redirect him/her to the target URL. b. For the rollover (Mouse Hover)/Release (Mouse Click) event, you need to incorporate the following method, which causes the banner to expand: on(rollover)/(release) { geturl("javascript:afffooterexpand();"); c. For the rollout (Mouse Out)/Release (Mouse Click) event, you need to incorporate the following method, which causes the banner to retract: on(rollout)/(release) { geturl("javascript:afffooterretract();");
5 In-Footer Video with Custom Skinning As the name suggests, this format allows you to showcase your video ad along with a branded skin. An implementation example is given below. 6 Example - 2: An In-Footer Video with Custom Skinning consists of the following components: 1. The Video Player The video player is the first entity that is loaded in the user s browser. The player is then responsible for displaying a video feed within itself. 2. The Video Feed This is the actual video itself. 3. The Custom Skin This is the branded skin creative in the background/foreground. This Video Feed can be integrated into the player in one of two ways below: 1. Video hosted on Affinity s Servers If the video is hosted on Affinity s servers, then you will have to specify the relative path of the video within the player. If you are using this option, you will have to meet stricter size restrictions. 2. Video hosted on your own Servers If the video is hosted on your own servers, then you will have to specify the direct path of the video within the player. If you are using this option, then do try and keep the video size to a minimum so as to ensure the end user experience is not hampered. NOTE: The creative can also include additional interactive features within the ad unit while the video continues to stream in the background. An implementation example for the same is shown below.

No longer will your brand messaging feel creatively restricted by the choice of your media vehicle. It gives you complete freedom and flexibility to implement your creative idea the way you see it fit, and as per your advertising objectives. General Guidelines 1. 12 Standard In-Footer Page Takeovers x Ad Spot Canvas Ad Spot Canvas Toolbar Overlay Toolbar A Page Takeover, unlike an Expandable, takes over the entire viewing area of the user s screen. This gives a greater probability of the user viewing the ad and a better chance that the user will interact with the Ad Unit. A Standard Takeover consists of three components: 1. The Canvas - The primary content area. Its maximum expandable size is 900x535 pixels, centered in the browser. 2. The Overlay - The area outside of the Canvas. Its default colour is black at a 75% opacity. 3. The Toolbar - The global controls for the unit contain Branding, Social (optional) & Show/Hide or Close Buttons. 14 In-Footer Fully Customizable Page Takeover This format gives the page takeover a whole new avatar. It begins with a custom designed In-Footer bar which interacts with the user via video/animation as shown below. It then expands into a custom sized animation as the user hovers over the creative (see below).
15 The entire creative comprises of a creatively customized In-Footer toolbar and a page takeover (includes image, flash or video files). NOTE: The above Customized In-Footer Rich Media formats can be incorporated individually or as a combination of Custom Skinning/Customized Page Takeover/Customized Video.
