2 Overview Data Onbarding is the prcess f making ffline segments available in nline channels fr media targeting and measurement. Neustar is yur partner in this prcess, managing the ffline t nline data translatin. This guide prvides an verview f what infrmatin shuld be prvided t Neustar and hw it needs t be frmatted. File Name Upladed file names shuld utilize the fllwing frmat: ClientName-DataSet-YYYYMMDD.txt Where: ClientName is the name f the cmpany prviding the data DataSet is a unique ID used t distinguish amng multiple uplads. If this file is a campaign list ging t a single Destinatin Platfrm, the DataSet shuld include bth the Destinatin Platfrm name and External Segment ID fr that platfrm. If this is an update t a previus file, the ClientName-DataSet part f the file name shuld remain cnsistent. YYYYMMDD is the date stamp when the file is upladed t Neustar s SFTP server Files shuld nt be partitined, hwever if multiple files are upladed n the same day, an additinal number can be appended after the date (ClientName-DataSet-YYYYMMDD-#.txt) File Frmat and Size Custmer data shuld be frmatted as: Tab r pipe delimited text file with ne line per recrd Character encding shuld be UTF-8 Files need t be PGP encrypted using Neustar s public key: PGP encryptin is supprted t cmpress the file. *.ZIP files are nt supprted Neustar Prprietary Octber

3 Neustar Data Onbarding Server Neustar prvides Secure FTP strage at nbarding.neustar.biz. Once yur accunt has been created tw s will be sent frm One will have the username and the secnd will cntain the passwrd. Files can be transferred thrugh the web based uplad ptin ( if a file is less than 1GB. Files larger than 1GB shuld be upladed using an SFTP client t sftp://nbarding.neustar.biz using prt 22. SSH Key authenticatin is als supprted fr autmated file transfers. Upladed files will be transferred t an internal Neustar server and a receipt will be created in the Receipts flder that can be pened with any text editr. Clumn Headers fr Identifiers The clumn headers fr input identifiers must use the fllwing names fr each identifier t ensure prper file prcessing. If an identifier is nt being prvided, the clumn des nt need t be included. Individual nbarding requires either an r Mbile Device ID. Each file shuld include n mre than 100 clumns. CUSTID FNAME LNAME STREET SECONDARY CITY STATE A string f characters that uniquely identifies yur custmer acrss uplads The first name f the individual The last name f the individual The huse number, street pre-directin, street name, street type and street pst-directin The apartment r suite number The pstal city name assciated with the street address Tw-letter state abbreviatin POSTAL The five-digit U.S. pstal cde fr the address. POSTAL shuld be treated as a string f digits; nt a number. All leading zeres must be present. A valid address f the individual. Multiple s can be prvided using the same clumn header in multiple clumns. MD5 addresses shuld be lwer case withut spaces befre hashing. MOBILEID Raw Mbile AD ID frmatted as 36 character string with dashes ( frmat) with all upper r all lwer characters IPADDRESS Dtted-Decimal ntatin f V4 IP Addresses with ne IP address per line. 4 Segment Definitin A segment is a characteristic f an individual r husehld that describes an attribute r behavir such as age, incme, marital status, ccupatin, buying and interacting. Multiple attribute clumns can be included in a file hwever any given clumn shuld cnsist f nly ne f these fur types: TYPE Blean Enumerated (ENUM) Number Date DESCRIPTION This is a true r false indicatin. The nbarding system accepts different input values t identify true (ex: true, TRUE, t, T, 1, yes, YES, y, Y) and false (ex: false, FALSE, f, F, 0, n, NO, n, N). This is ne f a set f expected values. Fr example, the attribute Buying Pwer may be able t take n values f Very High, High and Lw. The data clumn shuld take ne f these values. A Number value is a numeric value that is assciated with a given attribute. Greater Than, Less Than, and Cntinuus Ranges are als be supprted. A Date value dentes a date that is assciated with a given attribute. Date Frmats supprt MMDDYY r MM/DD/YY MMDDYYYY r MM/DD/YYYY YYMMDD r YY/MM/DD YYYYMMDD r YYYY/MM/DD Dates can be mapped t weeks, quarters, years r custm ranges Segment File Layut and Taxnmy If the data file cntains nly ne segment per file, the fllwing segment file layut and taxnmy definitin spreadsheets are nt required. If mre than ne segment is included in the file, a Segment File Layut and Taxnmy Definitin spreadsheet must be prvided in rder t facilitate assignment f values prvided in the data file t segments. These spreadsheets can be ed t yur Onbarding Client Success cntact r upladed t yur cllabratin flder n yur SFTP. A Taxnmy shuld include n mre than 5,000 segments and each segment shuld include at least 500 valid recrds. The Segment Name clumns in the Segment File Layut and the Taxnmy Definitin shuld match. Segment File Layut: The required clumns are SEGMENT NAME, COLUMN NAME, COLUMN, VALUE and TYPE.
