There is a need for these kinds of trainings before these teachers can be expected to do other computer/technology based trainings. Find ways for us to get the technology that we need and allow for us to use it. Everything that is useful is blocked in our district, which puts our students at a real disadvantage for the workplace and college. Survey monthly on type of training teachers need and offer these trainings I would like to see the district provide EVERY classroom with a smartboard, document camera and scanners. I would like to see small group workshops on creating and using technology in differentiated lessons for specific grade levels. I was wondering if there would be any funding for the regular classroom teacher. For example, I teach PE, have over 0 students per day and receive $7.00 per YEAR for teaching supplies. I used $70.00 of that for an Ipod (exercise soundtracks, special programs...)and one Kodak ink combo pack (newsletter). These items are for technology and are very expensive and eat up most of the budget. That leaves very little for balls,...you get the picture. Most classroom teachers are very limited with funding. I would REALLY like to be able to update my school webpage on a regular basis. Do weekly checks to make sure "everything" is working properly Keep up the good work.
