1 CS111 Client-Side Web Scripting [Onsite] Curse Descriptin: This curse cvers hw t add interactivity t a Web page using the client-side scripting tls such as JavaScript and AJAX. Students examine client-side script issues including brwser cmpatibility and caching. Students will practice prcessing arrays, manipulating strings, and using predefined bjects. Students will als be intrduced t event-driven prgramming. Delivery makes use f varius media and delivery tls. The Client-Side Web Scripting curse is intended as a first curse in JavaScript prgramming. Basic prgramming cncepts are cvered, including data representatin, functins, cntrl structures, and arrays. This is fllwed by detailed discussins f bjects, the Dcument Object Mdel, and events. The curse then cvers dynamic Web pages, errr handling, data validatin, XML, and AJAX. Classrm activities will allw yu t participate n a team t identify the structures and features f JavaScript-based Web pages. Yu will als be expected t cmplete writing assignments and labs in every unit. Labs prvide a hands-n apprach t learning practical prgramming methds. Samples f cde and utput are prvided t yu in each lab, s yu understand the majr pieces f the cde yu will be required t write and hw the utput shuld be displayed. This apprach allws yu t build yur knwledge as yu prgress thrughut the curse. In additin, a prject will be assigned in every ther unit.
