1 ID 96 LX electroic cotrollers for refrigeratig uits USER INTERFACE The user has a display ad four keys for cotrollig status ad programmig of the istrumet. KEYS AND MENUS UP key DOWN key fc key set key Scrolls through the meu items Icreases the values Activates maual def. fuctio Scrolls through the meu items Decreases the values Programmable by parameter ESC fuctio (exit) Programmable by parameter Accesses the setpoit Accesses the meus Cofirms the commads Displayig the alarms (if preset) At start-up the istrumet performs a Lamp Test; for few secods the display ad the leds blik, i order to verify their itegrity ad correct operatio. The istrumet has two mai meus: the Machie Status ad Programmig meu. ACCESSING AND USING MENUS Resources are arraged i a meu, which ca be accessed by pressig ad quickly releasig the set key ( Machie Status meu) or by holdig dow the set key for more tha 5 secods ( Programmig meu). To access the cotets of each folder, idicated by the relevat label, just press the set key oce. You ca ow scroll through the cotets of each folder, modify it or use its fuctios. If you do ot use the keyboard for over 5 secods (time-out) or if you press the fc key oce, the last value show o the display is cofirmed ad you retur to the previous scree mask. LED fc set MACHINE STATUS MENU To access the Machie Status meu Press ad quickly release the set key. If alarms are ot preset, the label SEt appears. By usig the UP ad DOWN keys you ca scroll through the other folders i the meu: -AL: alarm folder (if preset); -Pb: probe value folder; -SEt: Setpoit settig folder. Set Settig Access the Machie Status meu by pressig ad quickly releasig the set key. The label of the SEt folder appears. To display the Setpoit value press the set key agai. The value appears o the display. To chage the Setpoit value, use the UP ad DOWN keys withi 5 secods. If the parameter is LOC = y the Setpoit caot be chaged. Alarm o If alarm coditio exists, whe accessig The Machie Status meu the AL folder label appears (see the Diagostics sectio). Displayig Probes By pressig the set key whe the appropriate label appears, the value of the probe associated to it is displayed. PROGRAMMING MENU To eter the Programmig meu, press the SEt key for more tha 5 secods. If specified, the access PASSWORD will be requested, (parameter PA ), ad the label of the first folder will follow. To scroll through the other folders, use the UP ad DOWN keys; the folders cotai the level ad parameters. The level parameters may be protected by a secod password (parameter PA ). To eter the folder, press set. The label of the first visible parameter appears. To scroll through the other parameters, use the UP ad DOWN keys; to chage the parameter, press ad release set, the set the desired value usig the UP ad DOWN keys, ad cofirm with the set Positio Related Fuctio Status Compressor or relay ON whe the compressor is started up; blikig i case of delay, protectio or blocked eablig Defrost Alarm ON whe defrostig; blikig i case of maual eablig ON whe the alarm is eabled; blikig whe the alarm is sileced key to move to the ext parameter. PASSWORD The passwords PA ad PA allow access respectively to level ad level parameters. I the stadard cofiguratio passwords are ot preset. To eable them ad assig them the desired value, access the Programmig meu, withi the folder with the dis label. If passwords are eabled, you will see: - PA at the etrace of the Programmig meu; - PA withi the folder with the Cf label cotaiig level parameters. MANUAL ACTIVATION OF THE DEFROSTING CYCLE To maually activate the defrostig cycle, press the UP key for 5 secods. COPY CARD The Copy Card is a accessory coected to the TTL serial port which allows programmig quickly the istrumet parameters. The operatio is performed as follows: Format This commad allows copy card formattig, a operatio recommeded i case of first use. Warig: if the copy card has bee programmed, usig the Fr the data etered are erased. This operatio caot be cacelled. Upload This operatio loads the programmig parameters from the istrumet. Dowload This operatio dowloads to the istrumet the programmig parameters. The operatios are performed accessig the folder idetified by the FPr label ad selectig, accordig to the case, UL, dl or Fr commads; the operatio is cofirmed by pressig the set key. If the operatio is successful a y is displayed, o the cotrary, if it fails a will be displayed. TELEVIS SYSTEM The lik with the Televis system ca go through the serial port TTL (the EWRS 485 iterface module must be used). I order to cofigure the istrumet for this purpose you must access the folder idetified by the Add label ad use the parameters dea ad FAA.

2 KEYBOARD LOCKING The istrumet icludes a facility for disablig the keyboard, by programmig the Loc parameter (see folder with dis label). If the keyboard is locked, you ca still access the programmig meu by pressig the set key. The Setpoit ca also be viewed. DIAGNOSTICS The alarm coditio is always sigalled by the buzzer (if preset) ad by the led of the alarm ico. The alarm sigal produced by a faulty thermostat probe (probe ) is show as E o the istrumet display. Other sigallig alarm are ot show o the istrumet display, but from the Machie Status meu withi the AL folder. The sigals for maximum ad miimum alarms do ot appear o the istrumet display but are viewable o the Machie Status meu i the AL folder, with the label AH or AL. The regulatio of the maximum ad miimum temperature alarm refers to the room probe. The temperature limits are defied by the parameters HAL (maximum alarm) ad LAL (miimum alarm). Alarms are related to Setpoit ad are cosidered as the distace from the Setpoit itself. The istrumet is desiged for pael moutig. Make a hole of 9x7 mm, isert the istrumet ad fix it usig the brackets provided. Do ot mout the istrumet i humid ador dirty places; it is suitable for use i ordiary polluted places. Vetilate the place i proximity to the istrumet collig slits. ELECTRICAL WIRING Attetio! Never work o electrical coectios whe the machie is switched o. The istrumet is equipped with screw termial boards for coectio of electrical cables with a diameter of.5 mm (oe coductor oly per termial for power coectios). For the capacity of the termials, see the label o the istrumet. The relay cotacts are voltage free. Do ot exceed the maximum curret allowed; i case of higher loads, use a appropriate cotactor. Make sure the power supply voltage complies with the oe required by the istrumet. I V versios the power supply must be provided by a security trasformer with the protectio of a delayed 5 ma fuse. Probes have o coectio polarity ad ca be exteded usig a regular bipolar cable (ote that the extesio of the probes affects the EMC electromagetic compatibility of the istrumet: pay extreme attetio to wirig). Probe cables, power supply cables ad the TTL serial cables should be distat from power cables. CONDITIONS OF USE PERMITTED USE For safety reasos the istrumet must be istalled ad used accordig to the istructio provided ad i particular, uder ormal coditios, parts bearig dagerous voltage levels must ot be accessible. The device must be adequately protected from water ad dust as per the applicatio ad must also oly be accessible via the use of tools (with the exceptio of the frotlet). The device is ideally suited for use o household appliaces ador similar refrigeratio equipmet ad has bee tested with regard to the aspects cocerig Europea referece stadards o safety.
