22 Reference the new ClearID User Manual fr mre details n all these features after reviewing them here. F7 Key added fr launching ClearID Prir versins f ClearID used the F10 ht key t bring up the Clear ID wrkflw interface. Due t changes in Phtshp CS5, we migrated t the F7 key fr mre cnsistent perfrmance. F10 will cntinue t wrk with this versin f ClearID 2.5, hwever in testing we experienced intermittent delays with the interface appearing after F10 was selected. Testers reprted having t click n the Phtshp interface after F10 was pressed t pen the ClearID interface and intermittent delays with the wrkflw interface pening. Yu can als launch ClearID frm PS Filters Menu > ClearID Wrkflw r PS Files > Scripts > ClearID Wrkflw Remving Alpha/Opacity Channels Alpha/pacity channels are treated differently in CS5. Images with an alpha channel nw display a checkered pattern with n visual infrmatin. Additinally, prgrams like Windws Picture viewer have issues displaying these images. Imprt Images as a Layer Stack remves the Alpha Channel if present nw hashes This tl is lcated under the main Phtshp menu: File >Scripts>ClearID> Imprt Images as Layers. This is similar t imprting images frm the Adbe Bridge: Tls>Phtshp>Lad Files int Phtshp Layers, nly the ClearID functin will hash the image file layers n imprt and remve the Alpha/Opacity channel if it is present. If yu are using TIFF images frm DVR dcder v2.5.2 r later, this shuld nt be an issue. But if yu are using TIFF images created by earlier versins r by ther prgrams, imprting images frm the ClearID> Imprt Images as a Layer Stack is an extra safeguard in yur wrkflw prcess. F8 Key functin Remves Alpha Channel If yu imprted images directly frm Adbe Bridge instead f using the ClearID> Imprt Images as a Layer Stack, yu can remve the Alpha Channel n an image r images by using the newly assigned ClearID F8 key. Regardless f which imprt methd yu use, yur images will get a final hash when yu run the verificatin reprt. New imprved real-time preview, faster launching and faster rendering speeds - Lens and Mtin De-Blur, Ultimate Sharpener, Pattern Remver, Frequency Filters While using any f these filters, pen an image and mves the sliders. Yu shuld get real-time updates as yu slide them. This is a vast perfrmance increase ver ClearID v2.0. 24 ClearID Super-Reslutin Functins We added a heading called ClearID Super-Reslutin Functins. There is detailed infrmatin n this prcess in the user manual. - Reduce Image Size (pis) name changed t Adjust Image Size (pis) and mved under superreslutin functins. - Align Layers and Average (new) - Open tw r mre cnsecutive images and align them t a target, then average t view mre details. 29 Installing ClearID v2.5 Cmputer Requirements Win XP(32/64bit), Vista(32/64bit), Win7 (32/64bit) Phtshp CS4 and CS5 in (32-bit) nly we recmmend yu allcate 50% RAM t Phtshp Min Screen 1024x768 Internet Brwser Nte - Firefx users will need t have it pen befre clicking the integrated help. This versin f ClearID 2.5 unlcks per user and nt per machine. A new unlck cde will be required. (This will effect multiple lgin users using the same cmputer) Cntact Oceans Systems Supprt if assistance is required. Until the prgram is unlcked, it will run in a 30 day trial. Yu can nly have ne versin f ClearID installed n yur system at a time The ClearID v2.5 installer aut-checks fr existing ClearID installatins n yur systems. If ne is fund, it will prmpt yu asking if yu wuld like t remve it befre yu prceed with yur new installatin. Changing between ClearID v2.5 and previus versins. If yu wuld like t revert back t an lder versin f ClearID, yu shuld remve any previus installatins befre prceeding. ClearID v2.5 and ClearID v2.0.2 installers will autmatically check fr any previus installatins and prmpt yu befre it un-installs them. If yu have ClearID v2.0 r v2.0.1, g t the dwnlad page and upgrade t v2.0.2 since it is a free upgrade and it includes this aut-checking installer. If yu chse nt t get this free upgrade, yu will need t uninstall the existing ClearID manually via the add/remve prgrams functin in windws befre installing ClearID v2.0 r v If yu dn t have the ClearID v2.0.2.exe installatin handy and yu need t install it, yu can lk n yur system under C:Oceanystems/ClearID. 30 Installing ClearID v2.5 Actins 1. Launch Phtshp 2. In Phtshp, select Windw 3. Select Actins r Alt+F9 - This will pen the Actins interface 4. Delete yur ld ClearID Actins - Example OS ClearID (r) CS4 5. Drag the flder int the trash lcated at the bttm right hand crner f the Actins interface. 6. In the Actins interface, click the upper right crner t expand the menu, and then select the new OS ClearID (r) 2.5 actins. (Figure 2) Changing between ClearID v2.5 and ClearID v2.0 Dn t frget t lad the matching Phtshp actins files if yu are switching between versins. Delete yur ld actins and lad the matching actins fr the versin f ClearID yu are using. D nt leave tw different actins laded at nce as they can cause cnflicts.
