3 Evidence.cm 1.30 Release Ntes End f Supprt fr Internet Explrer 8 Micrsft will end desktp supprt f Internet Explrer 8 n January 12, If, after this date, a security flaw is fund in Internet Explrer 8, Micrsft will nt issue an update t address the flaw. In January 2016, TASER will release Evidence.cm 1.31, which will be the last Evidence.cm release that supprts Internet Explrer 8. In releases after Evidence.cm 1.31, TASER cannt guarantee cmpatibility with Internet Explrer 8 and will nt supprt its use with Evidence.cm. If yu use Internet Explrer 8 t access yur Evidence.cm agency, TASER recmmends that yu chse ne f the fllwing ptins: Update Internet Explrer t the latest versin. 4 Evidence.cm 1.30 Release Ntes Device Assignment App fr Axn Bdy 2 The act f deplying hundreds r thusands f cameras slws significantly during the device assignment prcess, when an armrer r administratr must assign cameras t users ne at a time. Assignment thrugh Evidence Sync takes several minutes per camera, which adds up quickly. Assignment n Evidence.cm wrks well fr a few cameras, but des nt scale. These prcesses are particularly cumbersme when agencies train large numbers f fficers and need t assign each fficer a device. The Axn Bdy 2 device assignment app, shwn in the three figures t the right, runs n Andrid devices that are equipped with an NFC antenna and wrks with Axn Bdy 2, in rder t simplify and accelerate the device assignment prcess. With the app running, the armrer taps the back f the Andrid device t an Axn Bdy 2 camera and receives the device type and serial number. The armrer then searches fr and selects an Evidence.cm user, and assignment is cmplete. The entire prcess takes nly secnds per camera. 5 Evidence.cm 1.30 Release Ntes Vide and Image Tls Enhancements Release 1.30 includes a variety f enhancements t media tls, designed t make the media player and related tls mre useful and mre easy t use. Lk fr even mre media tl enhancements in future releases f Evidence.cm. Media Player Enhancements The media player nw enables users t select vide quality during playback. If yu have a slw Internet cnnectin r are watching vide evidence files n a smaller display, yu have the ptin f lwering the vide quality. The Aut setting enables the media player t adjust the vide quality based n the brwser's screen size. If yu use an Apple ios device (such as an ipad) and the Safari web brwser, the Aut setting ges further and enables the media player t adjust the vide quality in respnse t the speed f yur Internet cnnectin. 6 Evidence.cm 1.30 Release Ntes New Image Features Early Access Previusly, the new media tls nly allwed users t view image evidence files, such as scanned phtgraphs, digital pictures, and screenshts. Available by early access nly in Release 1.30, the new media tls include imprtant features fr wrking with image evidence files. Users can crp and rtate images, in additin t adjusting the brightness and cntrast f images. Users can then extract a new image evidence file that incrprates the mdificatins, leaving the riginal image evidence file unaltered. 7 Evidence.cm 1.30 Release Ntes Redactin Tls Suite Enhancements The redactin tls suite in release 1.30 includes the fllwing imprvements: Wrkflw and User Interface Imprvements Highly visible extractin buttn Users can extract redacted vides with a single click frm the Redactins tab n View Evidence page. This finishes the redactin prcess by creating a new vide evidence file with the blurred segments specified by the redactin. Simplified redactin editing Users can pen a redactin fr editing with a single click frm the Redactins tab. Remved redactin descriptin Redactins n lnger include a descriptin field. After users extract new redacted vide files frm redactins, they can add descriptins as needed n the extracted files. Imprved user interface Buttns and ther cntrls nw have a cleaner appearance, with better icns, mre labels, and less reliance n hver text. TASER Internatinal, Inc. Page 7 f 13

8 Evidence.cm 1.30 Release Ntes Keybard Shrtcuts fr Mask Placement Release 1.30 includes keybard cntrls fr fine-grained manual adjustments f mask segments when yu are manually creating a redactin. Yu can precisely cntrl the start frame and end frame f a mask segment by using the keybard f yur cmputer. 9 Evidence.cm 1.30 Release Ntes User Accunt Management Changes Evidence 1.30 includes several changes t the administratin f user accunts. These changes are intended primarily t simplify user administratin, especially fr large agencies. Simplified User States TASER simplified Evidence.cm user states t tw states: Active Users in the Active state can access yur Evidence.cm agency. Active users include users wh have been invited but wh have nt yet used the hyperlink in the invitatin frm Evidence.cm and cmpleted their prfile. After a user's prfile is cmplete, the user has access t yur Evidence.cm agency as allwed by the rle assigned t the user accunt. Inactive Users in the Inactive state cannt access yur Evidence.cm agency. When an administratr inactivates a user accunt, reassigning the user's evidence is nw ptinal, where in previus releases reassigning evidence was required. This state is apprpriate fr user accunts whse users yu d nt want t invite immediately t access yur Evidence.cm agency. It is recmmended that administratrs create inactive user accunts rather than creating active user accunts and then assigning thse accunts the Assignee Only rle. When TASER updates Evidence.cm t release 1.30, user accunts that have a Deactivated status will be updated t an Inactive status. Usernames and Addresses Users n lnger chse usernames and Internet addresses. During registratin with yur Evidence.cm agency, users d nt have the ptin t specify a username r an address. Instead, administratrs assign usernames and specify addresses during user accunt creatin, regardless f hw user accunts are created. If yu d nt want t allw users t change their username, address, r ther infrmatin, ensure that the rle that yu assign t users prhibits the Edit Accunt Infrmatin permissin. TASER Internatinal, Inc. Release 1.30 includes these changes fr the fllwing reasns: T help ensure that usernames cnfrm t yur agency standards T prevent users frm creating inapprpriate usernames. T prevent users frm specifying an unsecured address, such as a persnal webmail address. User Audit Trail in CSV Frmat Release 1.30 adds CSV frmat supprt t the User Audit Trail feature. Administratrs have the ptin t dwnlad user audit trail infrmatin in either the new CSV frmat r in PDF frmat. CSV frmat is supprted by spreadsheet applicatins such as Micrsft Excel, which enables yu t filter and srt the data in an audit trail with ease. In additin, audit trail infrmatin is mre readily imprtable int ther applicatins. Regardless f dwnlad frmat, administratrs have the ptin f dwnlading a user's full audit trail r an audit trail fr nly an administratr-specified date range. Nte: If yu specify a date range f several mnths, Evidence.cm may take several minutes t generate the audit trail and dwnlad it. 11 Evidence.cm 1.30 Release Ntes Reprt Enhancements The Reprts feature includes enhancements t a few reprts. The User Summary reprt nw includes vide-evidence deleted, regardless f whether the deletin was user initiated r system initiated. Evidence Created and Evidence Deleted reprts have the fllwing new clumns: Case ID If evidence was assciated with any cases, this clumn lists the case IDs. Dwnlad Cunt Lists the number f times the evidence was dwnladed. This clumn and the fllwing clumn replace the Sharing (Y/N) clumn. Authenticated Share Cunt Lists the number f times the piece f evidence was shared by authenticated sharing. This clumn and the previus clumn replace the Sharing (Y/N) clumn. Axn Bdy 2 Supprt and Camera Settings Changes In the Admin sectin f yur Evidence.cm agency, the Camera Settings page replaces the TASER Vide Settings page. The new page prvides imprved rganizatin f the vide settings that yur rganizatin relies upn fr all its Axn bdy-wrn cameras. The Camera Settings page includes new settings in supprt f Axn Bdy 2 cameras: Vide Settings Pre-Event Buffering Whether Axn Bdy 2 cameras buffer 30 secnds f vide Stealth Mde Whether fficers can enable stealth mde, which turns ff all lights, sunds, and vibratins, including verriding the ring LED status setting. Quality Settings The vide recrding quality at which Axn Bdy 2 cameras will recrd events. Watermark Whether a permanent watermark appears in the upper right crner f all vides recrded with Axn Bdy 2 cameras. Bkmark While Recrding Whether fficers can leave a bkmark at a mment in a vide while the camera is recrding. The bkmark is visible as a marker in the Evidence.cm media player. Audi Settings Camera Audi Whether cameras recrd audi while recrding vide. Tggle Camera Audi Whether fficers can change the audi recrding settings f a camera. Axn Signal Whether Axn Signal can start recrding n the camera. Axn Signal can autmatically activate Axn cameras based n many cmmn triggers. 13 Evidence.cm 1.30 Release Ntes Partner API Enhancements Release 1.30 includes updates the Partner APIs that add supprt fr prgrammatic retrieval f case, evidence, and device data. Administratrs can use the Partner API t retrieve these data, which they then can prvide t ther applicatins r systems, as needed. The Partner API nw includes resurces fr the fllwing Evidence.cm data bjects: Cases List all cases Search cases by case title Get infrmatin abut a specific case, including a list f all evidence assciated with the case Evidence List all evidence Search evidence by external ID Get infrmatin abut a specific piece f evidence Retrieve an evidence file Devices Search devices by serial number and mdel name Get infrmatin abut a specific device These resurces jin the user management, grup management, and reprting resurces previusly available in the Partner APIs.
