2 Descriptin The Ggle Map Web Part allws yu t display the gegraphical lcatin f a given address. The address can either be static r cntained in a cnnected Sharepint List. The map is created using Ggle's public Map API. The Web Part can be used bth with Windws Sharepint Services V3 and MOSS. The fllwing parameters can be cnfigured: Cnnectin t a Sharepint List cntaining the address r lngitude/latitude crdinates Interactive/static mde (static mde needs n Ggle API key) Map Zm Level Prerequisites Befre yu attempt t install the slutins yu need t make sure that yu have the fllwing installed n yur server(s): Windws SharePint Services 3.0 r Micrsft Office SharePint Server 2007 Installatin Manual Installatin 1. dwnlad and unpack the AEGgleMapWebpart.zip file. The ZIP archive cntains the AEGgleMapWebpart.dll and the AEGgleMap.webpart files. 2. drp the AEGgleMapWebpart.dll either int the SPS web applicatin bin directry r int the GAC f yur Sharepint server (c:\windws\assembly). Please nte that yu will have t deply the web part int the GAC if yu d nt use "Interactive Mde" (see cnfiguratin settings belw) in cmbinatin with Address Gecding lkup, since in this case the web part calls the Ggle Gecding web service t reslve the address. This requires either a "Full" trust setting (nt recmmended) r GAC deplyment. 3. add the fllwing line t the "<SafeCntrls>" sectin f yur Web.Cnfig file. Please make sure that the line is added as ne single line (n line breaks): <SafeCntrl Assembly="AEGgleMapWebpart, Versin= , Culture=neutral, PublicKeyTken=89fdb c23b" Namespace="AEGgleMapWebpart" TypeName="*" Safe="True" /> 4. frm the tp site g t "Site Actins/Site Settings/Mdify All Site Settings/Galleries/Web Parts" 5. use the "Uplad" menu ptin t uplad the AEGgleMap.webpart file. Autmatic Installatin 1. Unpack the AEGgleMapWebpart.wsp and Install.bat files frm the Zip Archive and place the 2 files nt yur Sharepint Server. 2. Add the Slutin by either running Install.bat r manually entering: stsadm - addslutin -filename AEGgleMapWebpart.wsp

3 3. Deply the slutin by navigating with yur brwser t Central Administratin->Operatins->Slutin Management : 4. Yu shuld nw see the AEGgleMapWebpart.wsp in the farm s slutin stre: Click n AEGgleMapWebpart.wsp t deply the slutin: 5. Prceed t activate the feature by navigating t the Site Actins/Site Settings page in yur tp-level site: Chse Site cllectin features t navigate t the Site Cllectin Features page:

4 Activate the AE Ggle Map Web Part feature Adding the Web Part t a Page Navigate t a page where yu wuld like t place the web part and chse "Site Actins/Edit Page" 1. Add the web part t the apprpriate zne. The web part is listed in the "Amrein Engineering" gallery sectin :

5 1. If yu want t cnnect the Map Web Part t a Sharepint List, either adapt an existing Sharepint List r create a new List t stre the data t be mapped. Als ptinally define a suitable List View fr the List if yu want t srt r filter the data in a specific way The list shuld include either ne r mre clumns t hld the street address t be mapped. r the tw clumns explicitly named "Latitude" and "Lngitude" hlding the latitude/lngitude crdinates Create a Web Part Cnnectin between the Sharepint List and the Ggle Map web part as fllws: switch the page t "Edit" mde Chse "Cnnectins" frm the List Web Part "edit" menu Chse "Prvide Rw T" Select the Ggle Map Web Part in the menu 2. Cnfigure the fllwing Web Part prperties in the Web Part Editr "Miscellaneus" pane sectin as needed:

6 Address: If yu want t use the web part stand-alne (eg. withut a cnnectin t a Sharepint List), enter the street address f lcatin t be displayed. The address shuld be sufficiently detailed t allw a crrect lkup via the Ggle Gecding service. If the web part is cnnected t a Sharepint List, please enter the list clumn names t be used fr the dynamic lkup. Separate each clumn by a cmma Lngitude/Latitude: If yu use the web part stand-alne, yu can alternatively specify the latitude and lngitude values instead f the Street Address. In this case, n Ggle API Key needs t be given (see belw). Enter the values with up t six decimal places. The value fr a desired lcatin can be lked up via Yu can als interactively lk up Latitude/Lngitude values n the Ggle Maps Lat/Ln Lkup page at Map width/map height: Enter the desired map dimensins in pixels. Zm Level: enter the desired Zm Level as fllws: enter a value between 1 (max zm) and 17 (min zm) in static mde mde enter a value between 0 (min zm) and 19 (max zm) in interactive mde Interactive Map: either display the map as a static image (n user interactin with the map) r as a dynamic Ggle map (allws interactive panning and zming). The interactive mde requires a valid Ggle API key (see belw). Display Traffic Infrmatin: add traffic infrmatin t the map (if available, Ggle currently prvides this service nly fr selected cities). Ggle API Key: if yu select the interactive map mde, yu need t specify a valid Ggle API key which can be generated by visiting License Key: enter yur Prduct License Key (as supplied after purchase f the "Ggle Map Web Part" license key). Leave this field empty if yu are using the free 30 day evaluatin versin r if yu chse ne f the License Activatin described belw.

7 License Activatin Yu have the fllwing 3 ptins t enter yur License Key: 1. Enter the License Key int the crrespnding License Key field in the web part cnfiguratin pane (See Descriptin abve). 2. WSP Slutin Deplyment: Add the License.txt file (as supplied by AMREIN ENGINEERING after having purchased a license) t the Slutin at the fllwing lcatin: c:\prgram Files\Cmmn Files\Micrsft Shared\Web Server Extensins\12\template\features\AEGgleMapWebpart 3. Manual Deplyment: Add the License Key t yur web.cnfig (typically fund at c:\inetpub\wwwrt\wss\virtualdirectries\80) <appsettings> sectin as fllws: <appsettings> <add key="aesu" value="aesu-x-xxxxx-xxxxx-xx-xx" /> </appsettings> Replace the x characters with yur actual key values. Please nte that this methd requires yu t manually add the key t each Sharepint applicatin.
