1 CONFIGURING UUM Yu will need the fllwing infrmatin t set up UUM Address Username Passwrd Dmain Name Server Address Andrid 1. Frm the Hme screen, tuch Menu > Settings > Add accunt > Micrsft Exchange ActiveSync. 2. Enter yur address and Passwrd. Mark Send frm this accunt by default (available nly if yu have already added anther accunt) t set this as the default accunt, and then tuch Next.

2 3. Verify the Exchange server settings are crrect, and tuch Next. 4. The Accunt ptins screen allws yu t select the fllwing ActiveSync ptins: Peak schedule: Chse hw ften yur device shuld cnnect t the Exchange server t get during peak business hurs. Chse Push t have delivered t yur device as sn as it arrives n the server. Off-peak schedule: Chse hw ften yur device shuld cnnect t the Exchange server t get during ff-peak business hurs. Chse Push t have delivered t yur device as sn as it arrives n the server. Perid t sync Chse the time perid yur device shuld keep in sync. s retrieval size: Set an size limit. Yur device will dwnlad nly the headers fr s that exceed this limit. When yu pen the message, yu will be able t dwnlad the entire message. Perid t sync Calendar: Chse the time perid yur device shuld keep in sync. Send frm this accunt by default: Send all new messages frm this accunt by default. Ntify me when arrives: Have yur device ntify yu f new messages.

3 Sync Sync yur t yur device. Sync Cntacts: Sync yur cntacts t yur device. Sync Calendar: Sync yur calendar t yur device. Sync task: Sync yur tasks t yur device. Autmatically dwnlad attachments when cnnected t Wi-Fi: Set yur device t autmatically dwnlad attachments when yu are cnnected t a Wi-Fi access pint. Synchrnizing Yur Micrsft Exchange ActiveSync Accunt Yu can adjust yur Exchange ActiveSync accunt settings t change the cntent synchrnized t yur device. 1. Frm the Hme screen, tuch Menu > Settings > Micrsft Exchange ActiveSync and tuch yur accunt name.

4 2. Mark r unmark the cntent yu want t synchrnize. A green check mark indicates the cntent will be synchrnized. Tuch Sync nw when yu have made yur selectin.

5 Blackberry Fr BlackBerry OS 4.6.x and later (BlackBerry Bld/9700 and n) 1. At the main screen, select Menu 2. Select Setup 3. Select Setup Wizard 4. Select Setup 5. Select I want t use a wrk accunt with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, then click Next 6. Under Has yur BlackBerry Enterprise Server administratr prvided yu with an Enterprise Activatin passwrd? select Yes, then Next 7. Enter the user's address and use the activatin cde btained earlier as the passwrd (uum). Activatin Server Address shuld nt be necessary. 8. Select Menu, then Activate. Ipad / Iphne Cnfiguring Exchange ActiveSync n the ipad 1. Befre Yu Begin Install the latest versin f itunes Back up yur ipad Make sure yu are cnnected t a reliable and fast netwrk (preferably Wi- Fi) befre beginning 2. Tap the Settings icn frm the hme screen, then Mail, Cntacts, Calendars 3. In Mail, Cntacts, Calendars, tap Add Accunt 4. Tap the Micrsft Exchange icn Nte: This is where yu cme in if yu tap the Mail app frm the hme screen with n accunts cnfigured 5. Nw yu will enter yur Exchange accunt infrmatin: (example) SERVER : uummail.uum.edu.my DOMAIN : STAF

6 USERNAME : ahmad (yur username) Passwrd : ****** (yur passwrd) Descriptin 6. Tap Next and the ipad will attempt t aut-discver and cnfigure the Exchange accunt Nte: This can take up t 5 minutes n slw netwrks r if autdiscvery is nt supprted 7. If the Exchange server cnfiguratin fail (saying it culdn t validate yur accunt), and yu will have t manually enter the Server name. SERVER : uummail.uum.edu.my 8. Tap Next and the ipad will verify the cnfiguratin 9. By default, the ipad will synchrnize all three data types (Mail, Cntacts, and Calendars) with yur Exchange ActiveSync server, but yu can turn ne r mre ff if yu wish 10. Tap Dne and the ipad will finalize the cnfiguratin and return yu t the Mail, Cntacts, Calendars menu while yur ipad cmmunicates with the server Nte: It can take a few minutes fr calendar entries and cntacts t shw up
