2 Descriptin The "Twitter" Web Part allws t display the Tweets f the specified Twitter search r Twitter user. The list is autmatically updated in regular intervals. The Web Part can be used with Windws WSS 3.0, MOSS 2007 and Sharepint Prerequisites Befre yu attempt t install the slutins yu need t make sure that yu have the fllwing installed n yur server(s): Micrsft Office SharePint Server 2007, WSS 3.0 r Sharepint 2010 Installatin Manual Installatin 1. dwnlad and unpack the AETwitterWebpart.zip file. The ZIP archive cntains the AETwitterWebpart.dll and the AETwitter.webpart files. 2. drp the AETwitterWebpart.dll int the GAC f yur Sharepint server (c:\windws\assembly). 3. add the fllwing line t the "<SafeCntrls>" sectin f yur Web.Cnfig file. Please make sure that the line is added as ne single line (n line breaks): <SafeCntrl Assembly="AETwitterWebpart, Versin= , Culture=neutral, PublicKeyTken=f0664a060858badd" Namespace="AETwitterWebpart" TypeName="*" Safe="True" /> 4. frm the tp site g t "Site Actins/Site Settings/Mdify All Site Settings/Galleries/Web Parts" 5. use the "Uplad" menu ptin t uplad the AETwitter.webpart file. Autmatic Installatin 1. Unpack the AETwitterWebpart.wsp and Install.bat (install2010.bat fr Sharepint 2010) files frm the Zip Archive and place the 2 files nt yur Sharepint Server. 2. Add the Slutin by either running Install.bat r manually entering: stsadm - addslutin -filename AETwitterWebpart.wsp 3. Deply the slutin by navigating with yur brwser t Central Administratin->Operatins->Slutin Management : 4. Yu shuld nw see the AETwitterWebpart.wsp in the farm s slutin stre:

3 Click n AETwitterWebpart.wsp t deply the slutin: 5. Prceed t activate the feature by navigating t the Site Actins/Site Settings page in yur tp-level site: Chse Site cllectin features t navigate t the Site Cllectin Features page: Activate the AE Twitter Web Part feature

4 Adding the Web Part t a Page Navigate t a page where yu wuld like t place the web part and chse "Site Actins/Edit Page" Add the web part t the apprpriate zne. The web part is listed in the "Amrein Engineering" gallery sectin:

5 Web Part Cnfiguratin Cnfigure the fllwing Web Part prperties in the Web Part Editr "Miscellaneus" pane sectin as needed: Twitter Search String: Enter the name f the Twitter search string, Twitter user name r Twitter user list. Yu can als pass this value either via the page URL by specifying the twitter querystring parameter r use a Web Part Cnnectin t cnnect the Twitter web part t a Filter web part which will then prvide this value interactively. Examples: Twitter User Twitter Search: Sharepint Twitter User List: juergam/juergslist Title: Enter an ptinal title t be displayed at the tp f the list Captin: Enter an ptinal captin t be displayed at the tp f the list Max. nbr. f Tweets t shw: enter the number f tweets t include in the list.
