7 Introduction This kit is designed for the installation of a Credit Card Reader in Rowe Model CD100I & CD100J jukeboxes that have had a Jump TM Kit installed. Keep this manual and all other related instruction materials in a convenient location for service reference and ordering of parts. 9 Installation Instructions THE CREDIT CARD READER WILL BE INSTALLED AT THIS LOCATION NOTE: An assistant is recommended to help support components during removal. TIPS: Save the screws you remove for later use. We recommend using only hand drivers. The screw bosses are vulnerable to breakage. Removing Graphic Assembly 1. Unplug the jukebox from the wall outlet and open the jukebox door. 2. Remove the fluorescent lamp behind the graphic assembly. 10 3. Remove the one 7/16 long screw securing the 1 cable clamp. Refer to Figure Remove the outer eight 3/8 long screws securing the stiffener bracket to the inside of the jukebox door. 5. Have an assistant support the graphics assembly when you remove the center two 3/8 long screws (to prevent dropping the graphic panels) and remove the graphic assembly. Refer to Figure 4. 11 Installing the Credit Card Reader 1. Place the graphics assembly (Removed in the previous steps) on a workbench and remove the right graphic panel as shown in Figure Feed the USB Cable (attached to the Credit Card Reader) through the opening in the Stiffener Bracket and place the Credit Card Reader Assembly in the opening as shown in Figure 5. Carefully re-install the Graphics Assembly into the opening from which it was removed earlier. Refer to Figure 6. GRAPHICS ASSEMBLY Figure 6 - Re-installing the Graphics Assembly Page 9 of 14

12 4. Have an assistant support the Graphics Assembly while you install the two 3/8 long center screws. Refer to Figure Re-install the remaining eight 3/8 long screws around the perimeter of the Stiffening Bracket. Refer to Figure Re-install the 1 cable clamp with the 7/16 long screw removed earlier. Refer to Figure 7. Hand-tighten all screws to prevent stripping. Route the USB Cable from the Credit Card Reader around the backside of the fluorescent lamp fixture to prevent it from casting a shadow on the display when the jukebox is in operation. Continue routing the USB Cable through the existing cable clamps across the top of the jukebox door. Refer to Figure 8. Page 10 of 14

14 10. Route the USB Extension Cable through the existing cable clamps on the rear wall of the jukebox cabinet and down to the Core Computer Assembly. Refer to Figure 10. USB EXTENSION CABLE EXISTING CABLE CLAMPS CORE COMPUTER ASSEMBLY Figure 10 - Routing USB Extension Cable Page 12 of 14

15 4. Plug the USB Cable into the lower USB jack on the Core Computer Assembly as shown in Figure 11. CORE COMPUTER USB JACKS USB CABLE Figure 11 - Installing USB Cable at Core Computer 5. Dress any excess cable neatly at the floor of the jukebox cabinet. COMPLETED INSTALLATION Page 13 of 14

16 Power Up And Operational Check NOTE: The jukebox must have software version V2.3.0 or higher and must have a Broadband connection to the server for credit card acceptance to work. 1. Power on the jukebox and wait for the User Interface (Selection Screen) to come up. 2. Swipe a valid credit card through the card reader. If the card reader is connected properly the jukebox screen will display a pop up window as shown in Figure 12. Figure 12 - User Interface 3. Touch the Cancel button to close the window and cancel the credit transaction. Change Attract Loop To Highlight Credit Card Acceptance Enter the Service Mode by pushing the SERVICE button on the Rowelink Controller. Touch Location/System Setup then touch Attract Mode. Touch Default Loop with Credit Card from the list to select it. Page 14 of 14
