8 1.3 Permanent features keys They are lcated just belw the tuch screen. Mute key. During a call, press this key t stp yur cntact frm hearing yu. As lng as the mute feature is activated, the mute key stays lit (blue). Press this key t deactivate the mute feature. Turn dwn the vlume. Turn up the vlume. Answer an incming call r make a call (keypad) in hands free mde (the key is blue). During a cnversatin, the first press pens the audi taster. The next press switches between handsfree, handset and audi accessries mde. Ignre incming call. Hang up the nging call. Shw r hide the keypad. During cnversatin use the keypad t send DTMF signals. Use this key t cnsult the call lg. This key is lit when yu have received a new vic r a missed call. During cnversatin, press this key t take yu back t the call screen. The clred bar under yur pht/avatar shws yur present status. Ruting prfile User Infrmatin Vide Access prgramming and cnfiguratin f ruting prfiles. Infrmatin abut the user: lastname, firstname, phne number,... Pressing this menu item starts the self vide n yur phne. Yu can then adjust the camera. 2 Ntificatins area In idle state: This area displays infrmatin n the latest phne events, such as missed calls and vice messages. During a call: Call status (nging, n hld, incming call) is shwn in this area. Pressing this area during a call takes yu back t the call screen. Call status Incming call. Onging vide call. 11 4 Active area This area is reserved fr running applicatins and fr previews f applicatins selected by the user. When yu start an applicatin, it is displayed in the active zne. If n applicatin has been launched, the active zne displays the applicatin previews that yu have preset n the hmepage. An applicatin preview allws yu t view this applicatin infrmatin and easily access it. Applicatins that can be previewed are: Histry, Favrites, Dial-pad. Add r delete an applicatin in the active area Settings Applicatin Hmepage Select the applicatin that yu want t add t the hmepage r delete frm the hmepage (Histry, Favrites, Dial-pad). Activate r deactivate preview f the applicatin (yes r n). Back t hmepage. 5 6 Applicatins bar (Hmepage in business mde). This area allws access t all applicatins and t different features f the running applicatin. Applicatins area (Hmepage in standard mde). Yu can access yur phne applicatins frm this area. Press the applicatin buttn t access the applicatin. Once yu run an applicatin, the display is the same as the business mde display. Prgrammable keys are available in this mde. (See: Prgramming a direct shrtcut fr a cntact.). Make a call. Open the dial keypad t make a cnversatin. Search fr a cntact. Access the settings menu. This applicatin allws yu t manage audi files and images. The histry applicatin shws tw tabs, listing new phne events such as missed calls, and lder phne events. T access vice mail functins. This applicatin cntains favrite cntacts that yu have selected frm yur list f cntacts. Call a cntact frm the favrites applicatin. Make a call using yur list f cntacts. 12 1.5 Navigatin The phne set hmepage can be viewed in standard r advanced mde. Scrll yur finger up r dwn t get the page r menus scrlling vertically (in advanced mde), r scrll right r left t get the page scrlling hrizntally. (in standard mde nly). Hmepage in standard mde Hmepage in business mde (Business) Make yur selectin by pressing the right icn n the sensitive screen. In standard mde, persnalize the hmepage by pressing and hlding. Scrll thrugh the applicatin area pages (advanced mde) r the applicatin bar (business mde). In standard mde nly, yu can have up t 2 pages. Scrll the list (call lg, cntacts...). First press: back t the previus hmepage page. Secnd press: back t the first hmepage page. This dark greyed circle symblizes the current page (default skin). 13 1.6 Bluetth Wireless handset Off-hk/On-hk: press this key t take r terminate a call LED Vlume/Mute: Shrt successive presses t change the handset vlume level (3 levels) Lng press t activate r deactivate mute mde Lcatin f the battery If the Bluetth handset is n its base, yu d nt need t press the Off-hk/On-hk key t take r terminate the call. Just ff-hk/n-hk the Bluetth handset. LED indicatin when using the handset (paired) Off: perating nrmally. Green flashing: in cmmunicatin. Green steady: handset charging. Orange flashing: battery charge lw r handset utside cverage zne. Orange steady: malfunctin. The 3-nte tne indicates that the handset has been installed crrectly (the LED flashes green r range depending n the battery charge level). 14 1.7 Install a cmfrt wired handset Yu can install a wired handset in place f the Bluetth Wireless Handset. Remve the rubber. Plug-in the wired handset t the apprpriate cnnectr (refer t phne descriptin). Make sure yu psitin the cable crrectly in the cmpartment intended fr that purpse: Switch ff the Bluetth Wireless Handset (press and hld the On/Off hk key until yu hear tw distinct tnes). 1.8 HDMI cnnectr Yur set is equipped with an HDMI 1.4 utput fr a better vide experience. The 8088 Smart DeskPhne can be cnnected t a large screen r vide prjectr. Mrever, an external camera can be cnnected t the phne t bradcast the entire rm. Yur deskphne can easily find its place in a meeting rm. There are tw ways t use the HDMI cnnectr: Bradcast the vide cnversatin (HD capability). Bradcast the entire display f the phne. Yur set has t be cnnected t the apprpriate equipment. Bradcast the vide cnversatin (HD capability) Use ne f the fllwing: During the vide cnversatin, swipe up n the vide displayed n the phne t bradcast it t the equipment cnnected via HDMI. T stp the bradcast, swipe dwn n the vide displayed n the phne. Select the HDMI buttn. 15 2 Using yur telephne 2.1 Making a call Use ne f the fllwing: Dial directly the number fr yur call. Lift the receiver Enter the destinatin number. Press the n-hk/ff-hk key f the Bluetth device. (Bluetth Wireless handset) Dial the destinatin number. Dialer. Dial the destinatin number. Use the dialpad preview t dial the destinatin number (Hmepage in business mde). Hands free Dial the destinatin number. Prgrammed line key. Search by name. Press the call icn t call yur cntact. T make an external call, dial the utside line access cde befre dialing yur cntact number.the default utside-line access cde is usually 0. Hwever, please check this cde with yur installer. 16 2.2 Make a call using the persnal phne bk (Cntacts) Cntacts Select the cntact t call Infrmatin regarding yur cntact is displayed n the screen. Press the call icn t call yur cntact. If there are several numbers fr the same cntact, select the desired number. 2.3 Using call by name Search Enter the first letters f yur cntact name. The names f cntacts matching yur search criteria are autmatically displayed n the screen. Call yur cntact by chsing him/her in the list. If yu wish yu can als display yur cntact cmplete file. When searching by name, results are displayed shwing all matching names fllwed by first names. Yu can als search by initials. Type the initials f first name and surname, separated by a space. All first names/names matching these initials will be displayed in the search. 2.4 Call frm call lg (Histry) All incming, utging, missed r unanswered calls are displayed in the call lg. Yu can call back frm yur phne call lg. Access the call lg by pressing the Cmmunicatin key. Select the tab: Histry All call lgs are displayed. Select the tab: New Only new missed calls are displayed. Use ne f the fllwing: Call yur cntact directly by selecting the badge. Select the cntact t call. 17 2.5 Call back ne f the last numbers dialed Open the dialpad. Select the cntact t call in the list f last number dialed. Press the call icn t call yur cntact / Call yur cntact directly by selecting the badge. 2.6 Redialing the last number dialed (redial) Open the dialpad. Select twice t call the last number dialed. 2.7 Call a cntact frm the favrites applicatin (Favrites) Favrites: This applicatin cntains favrite cntacts that yu have selected in yur persnal directry. Use ne f the fllwing: Favrites Cntacts Select the tab: Favrites. All cntacts defined as a favrite are displayed. Select the cntact t call. Call If there are several numbers fr the same cntact, select the desired number. Refer t chapter: "Define a cntact as a favrite ". 2.8 Answer the call Use ne f the fllwing: Answer Take the handset ff the hk. Handsfree key. Off-hk key n the Bluetth handset. 18 2.9 Ignre call A call is received: Use ne f the fllwing: Ignre Press n the On-hk key n the permanent features keys panel. Yur phne n lnger rings but yur caller still hears the ringing tne. Yu can still answer the call after yu have ignred it Using the telephne in 'Hands free' mde Yu are in cmmunicatin. Handsfree key: Press n the handsfree mde. The handsfree mde is activated. When the handfree is activated, the crrespnding feature key is lit blue. T take the call back with the handset Use ne f the fllwing: Take the handset ff the hk. If the handset is ff hk: Press the 'handsfree' key again Handset. Off-hk key n the Bluetth handset. T g back t 'handsfree' mde Press the 'handsfree' key again Press n the handsfree mde. Yu can hang-up the handset Adjust ringer vlume while a call arrives The telephne rings when a call is received. Decrease vlume. 19 2.13 Mask my identity Yu can hide yur identity befre sending yur call. Use ne f the fllwing: Select the feature. Press yur infrmatin area in the tp left crner f the screen. User Infrmatin Press n annymus icn t activate r deactivate the secret identity. Back t hmepage Cntact call lg Yu can display the histry f all calls (received calls, missed calls, and s n). Access the call lg by pressing the Cmmunicatin key. Select the tab: Histry All call lgs are displayed. Select the tab: New Only new missed calls are displayed. Select the apprpriate tab. Select the recipient frm the call lg. Yur cntact's details are displayed n the screen alng with the histry f all his/her calls (missed calls, received calls, vic , etc.) Delete ne call lg event Access the call lg by pressing the Cmmunicatin key. Select tab: Histry Press the desired event: Delete 2.16 Delete events frm the call lg Access the call lg by pressing the Cmmunicatin key. Select tab: Histry. Delete all Cnfirm deletin f all call lg events: Yes. If yur call lg cntains unread events, a warning message is displayed n the screen. 20 2.17 Cnsulting yur vice mailbx Usually a nn answered call is autmatically frwarded t the vic bx. Yu are ntified f a new vic message (ntificatin zne). The number f new vice messages is displayed. Use ne f the fllwing: Press the vic messages ntificatin buttn in the tp middle area f the screen. On the hmepage, press the vice mail key. Enter the passwrd t access the visual vice mail. Fllw the instructins f the vice guide Immediate frward t a number The number can be yur hme, mbile, vice mailbx r an internal extensin (peratr, etc.). Use ne f the fllwing: Press the User services key. Press yur infrmatin area in the tp left crner f the screen. Ruting prfile Immediate frward t... Number f diversin telephne. Yu can als enter a number via the search by name feature, the list f cntacts, the histry, the favrites r the latest dialed number. ( ). Cnfirm. Frward is activated (The frward key lights blue if cnfigured s in: Settings Device Phne cnfiguratin Ruting Led) The activated feature is indicated in yur persnal infrmatin area in the tp left crner f the screen. The frward key is nt lit when n frward is activated. When yu create a frward, it will be added t the list f available frwards s that yu can reuse it. The activated feature is indicated in yur persnal infrmatin area in the tp left crner f the screen. The frward key is nt lit when n frward is activated. When yu create a frward, it will be added t the list f available frwards s that yu can reuse it Ruting prfile Call ruting lets yu t chse which devices will ring when yu receive an incming call. Select a ruting prfile Use ne f the fllwing: Press the User services key. Press yur infrmatin area in the tp left crner f the screen. Ruting prfile Select a ruting prfile in the list. Create a new ruting prfile Use ne f the fllwing: Press the User services key. Press yur infrmatin area in the tp left crner f the screen. Ruting prfile Add Select the frward type t prgram: Immediate frward, Frward if busy, If n reply, If busy/n reply. Select the destinatin f the frward: Assciate, Attendant, Mbile, Vic , Other. Save the ruting prfile the new ruting prfile is added t the list f available frwards. Mdify a ruting prfile Use ne f the fllwing: Press the User services key. Yu can nt delete a predefined ruting prfile Set an alarm Alarm Enter the alarm time. Select the meldy f yur chice. Adjust the alarm vlume. Enable the feature. 23 3 During a cnversatin 3.1 Putting a caller n hld Yu are in cmmunicatin: On hld Yur call is placed n hld. Yur caller hears n-hld music r a tne until yu pick the call up again. Recver the call n hld Use ne f the fllwing: Select the caller n hld frm the call lg r the ntificatin area. Retrieve Yu are back n the call with yur caller. 3.2 Calling a secnd persn during a cnversatin Yu are in cmmunicatin. New call Call the secnd persn. 24 3.3 Receiving a secnd call During a cnversatin, anther persn is trying t call yu Name r n. f the caller displayed fr 3 secnds. Yur are alerted with 3 beeps. Answer call The first call is n hld. Ignre incming call. T return t yur first caller and end the cnversatin in prgress: End the call. Use ne f the fllwing: Press n the On-hk key n the permanent features keys panel. On-hk key n the Bluetth handset. Recver the call n hld. Use ne f the fllwing: Select the caller n hld frm the call lg r the ntificatin area. Retrieve 3.4 Switching between calls (Brker call) Yu are in cmmunicatin with a first caller. A secnd caller is n hld. Switch frm ne caller t anther by selecting the caller n hld in the call lg. Yu are in cmmunicatin with the secnd cntact: First call is autmatically placed n hld. 3.5 Transferring a call Yu are in cmmunicatin with a first caller. Yu want t transfer the call t anther cntact. Call the recipient f the transfer. Yu can directly call the persn by dialing his/her number, select the persn t call frm the call lg, r use the search by name feature t call the secnd persn. 25 Yu are in cmmunicatin with a first caller. A secnd caller is n hld. Yu want t cnnect the first caller with the secnd. Transfer The tw callers are cnnected. 3.6 Mute, s that yur caller cannt hear yu During the call, yu d nt wish yur caller t hear yu. Use ne f the fllwing: Press yur phne Mute key. Mute mde is activated (The key is blue). Yur caller can n lnger hear yu. Press the key again t g back t nrmal mde. Press and hld the Mute key f the Bluetth Wireless handset. Press the key again t g back t nrmal mde. 3.7 Vice frequency During a cnversatin yu smetimes have t send DTMF signals, such as with a vice server, an autmated attendant r a remtely cnsulted answering machine. If DTMF is activated by default n yur system Dialer Enter the requested cdes. If DTMF is nt activated by default n yur system DTMF. Enter the requested cdes. The functin is autmatically cancelled when yu hang up. Depending n the system cnfiguratin, the DTMF can be activated by default. During a vide call, the screen cmprises tw areas. The main screen shws yur callers vide and the 'picture in the picture' screen in the bttm right f the main screen shws yur vide. When yu are n a vide call, the vide is stpped when yu transfer the call. When yu start recrding the call, the vide is stpped (nly audi cmmunicatin is recrded). 28 5 Cntacts management 5.1 Define a cntact Cntacts Add new cntact Fill in the cntact file. Yu must prvide at least a last name. Back Yur cntact is added t the directry. Fr external numbers, we recmmend yu use cannical address frmats cmprising '+', fllwed by the cuntry cde (e.g. '33') then the number withut the first digit. Fr example, fr , enter the number T get the '+' sign, lng press n the '0' key. This example is fr calling a number in France frm anther cuntry. Yu can assciate a picture t the cntact. Cpy the picture frm an USB strage device n the phne lcal memry. Yu can remve the USB strage device. Enter the fllwing path in the picture field: /data/filemanager/ fllwed by the name f the picture and its extensin. This picture will then appear n yur phne each time yu will be in cnversatin with yur cntact. An external server (LDAP) may be available in yur cmpany fr the cntacts management. 45 9 CntactSync 9.1 Intrductin This applicatin is fr synchrnizing yur address bk between yur phne and the Outlk applicatin. It supprts synchrnizatin f the Outlk data placed lcally, fr example in a lcal Outlk archive file. The default maximum number f cntacts yu can synchrnize between yur phne and yur PC is 500. Hwever, yur administratr can increase this t up t 1,000. Please ask yur administratr fr the maximum number f cntacts. Once yu have run the initial synchrnizatin, if yu delete a cntact frm the phne cntacts list, the cntact will be deleted frm Outlk during the next synchrnizatin (and vice versa). Yu are advised t create an Outlk subflder dedicated t yur phne cntacts and t wrk frm this flder. This will help prtect yur general Outlk cntacts n yur PC. 9.2 Prerequisites The supprted perating systems are: Micrsft Windws 7 SP1 (32 bits and 64 bits). Micrsft Windws 8 (32 bits and 64 bits). By default, the passwrd is yur OpenTuch passwrd. The Outlk supprted versins are: Micrsft Outlk 2003, Micrsft Outlk 2007, Micrsft Outlk 2010, Micrsft Outlk 2013 (32 bits and 64 bits). The minimal system requirements are: Prcessr: P4 Class r higher. RAM memry: at least 256 M. Minimum available disk space: 100 M. Screen: 800x600 True Clr. Netwrk card is required. 9.3 Installing the applicatin n yur PC The applicatin cmes as an executable installatin file (.exe). 1. Run the applicatin executable file. 1. The cnflict plicy (determines hw the applicatin shuld behave when different changes have been made n the phne and the PC) The mst recent mdificatin replaces the ldest, In sme circumstances, if yu are synchrnizing with a prfile cnnected t an Exchange server yu may face a situatin when a cnflict is reslved incrrectly with the 'last mdified' Ý plicy. Pairing yur phne and yur PC When yu run the synchrnizatin fr the first time, yu must pair yur phne and yur PC. 1. Accept the certificate required by the phne (ensure that the certificate cmes frm the target PC),. 1. A pairing PIN cde (PIN) is displayed n the phne screen. 2. The phne is detected by the PC and yu are prmpted t enter this PIN cde and a name fr the pairing. Yu have 30 secnds t enter the PIN cde. If yu dn't d s yu will have t start the prcedure again. 3. The synchrnizatin is autmatically started when the pairing is established. This pairing has t be dne nly fr the first synchrnizatin. Frm the PC applicatin menu, yu can delete this pairing. Synchrnizatin takes abut 15 secnds fr 500 cntacts. Yu can receive and make calls during synchrnizatin but this can make the synchrnizatin prcess lnger. The synchrnizatin functin is mst cmmnly used t synchrnize yur PC Outlk cntacts with yur phne cntacts list. Once yu have run the initial synchrnizatin, if yu delete a cntact frm the phne cntacts list, the cntact will be deleted frm Outlk during the next synchrnizatin (and vice versa). Mst likely there is a mismatch in prtcls: the phne uses HTTPS and Cntact-Sync uses HTTP r vice versa. Try t check r uncheck the 'Use secured cnnectin' Ý checkbx and restart synchrnizatin.
