Building supervisory approved products are all building components, -groups or -constructions, for which loading assumptions derive from corresponding norms. This includes, inter alia, stairs and railings, canopies, carports, steel constructions, steel halls, cranes, masts and bridges. Whoever manufactures any of the above mentioned products is obliged to be certified according to the appropriate execution class and mark their products with the CE label. Stairs and railings for residential buildings, for example, are to be built in accordance with execution class EXC 1 of EN All other stairs and railings correspond to execution class EXC 2. Please note leaflet 4 Execution Classes as well as the balustrade guideline of the Federal Metal Association ( - German only). All building components have to be marked with the CE label. In order to do so the company is only allowed to buy primary products (steels, posts, base panels, handrails, anchors etc.) with a CE label (see building rules list).
