Stems without note-heads, ound in the resence o glissandi, serve as rhythmical landmarks and are written or the layer s beneit. Figures bracketed by reeat-barlines (or boxed in) are to be reeated at a temo decided by the erormer (reerably slow, as to remain in context o the iece) or the duration o the thick bar ollowing the igure. : Diamond-shaed note-heads in the voice indicate sibilant-heavy sounds (sss).
