2 Matrix OS/Brwser Cmpatibility Matrix Desktp Cmpatibility Matrix 7.0 is cmpatible with the latest brwser versins supprted by mainstream perating systems. NOTE: Operating systems (OS) and brwsers such as Windws XP, Windws Vista and Internet Explrer 8 and 9 (IE8, IE9), are n lnger in mainstream supprt. All users wh are using a previus versin f these brwsers will be presented with a warning at lgin t encurage upgrading. Issues related t supprted brwsers that can t be reslved by upgrading t the latest newer versin will be reviewed and reslved n a pririty and best-effrt basis. CreLgic will supprt upgrades t brwsers as sn as reasnably practical after the date when the new versin f the brwser is available fr shipment in new retail cmputers. Desktp users wh chse t use Internet Explrer (IE) n Windws 7 and Windws 8 can upgrade t IE11. Windws 10 users can use IE11 r Edge Brwser. Firefx and Chrme autmatically update t their mst recent versins regardless f underlying perating system. Matrix Desktp supprts the fllwing brwsers: Internet Explrer 11 and Edge Brwser And the mst recent versins f: Safari Chrme Firefx Andrid Brwser Chrme Mbile Safari Mbile Matrix Mbile Cmpatibility ipad and Andrid Tablet users shuld ensure they're up t date with the mst recent versin f their brwser they can install. 3 New and Enhanced Features in Matrix 7 Updated Client Prtal The Matrix Client Prtal basts an all new lk and mre intuitive usability. Key changes include: Fluid layuts which fit cntent t the user s screen, n matter what size it may be. This means a cnsumer n a phne is lking at the same cntent albeit in a ptentially mdified layut as a user n a large-screen cmputer. (The MLS may elect t hide sme cntent n smaller screens fr aesthetic reasns if they wish.) This als means that The separate Mbile Prtal versin is deprecated in Matrix 7 and will n lnger be available. All users will access the new Prtal regardless f their device. A standard set f layuts fr brwsing listings include Map, List and Gallery views, as well as a dynamic new Full listing view. Additinal views may be made available by the MLS as well. Gegraphic fields like City, Subdivisin, and Schl District can nw be included n the Prtal s search frm and the user s current map lcatin will nt be applied as part f the criteria when any f these fields are used. If the user s search des nt cntain any gegraphic fields then the bundaries f their currently visible map are applied as limiting search criteria. Pin clustering n the map when the number f results is between 500 and 5000 just as in Matrix prper, shwing the user hw many matching listings are in varius regins and allwing them t click t zm in t a particular regin. Separate pages within the Prtal prvide access t: All searches saved by the cntact as well as aut s created by their agent; A histry f all cntent ed t them, including the ability t view just the new and changed listings fr each aut update; All ntes added t listings by the cntact r the agent An agent-custmizable prfile page, which can include text, pht, vide, current listings, and cntact infrmatin Default cntent fr this prfile page is based n an agent s settings fr their current Prtals: Prtal Infrmatin which displays n the left side f their 6.14 Prtals is displayed as a Cntact Infrmatin sectin If an agent has a Prtal Greeting in 6.14 it will be ppulated as the text sectin If an agent has any My Listings queries selected t display n the left side f their 6.14 Prtal, these will display as links, and the first ne will als be presented as a slideshw f thse listings Supprt fr ptinal add-n features including: DriveTime searching n the map Find me all available prperties within a 15 minute drive t my wrk in the mrning The InRix drive time feature currently available n the agent MLS search will nw be available in the client prtals. 4 New Agent Headers & Fters Agent Headers and Fters have been cmpletely updated t prvide a fresh new lk. Key changes include: A larger header size up t 1600 pixels wide by 120 pixels tall with a system library f spectacular new header images t chse frm Supprt fr brkers t add Header/Fter packages which are available nly t their members Agent-cntrlled branding which displays ver the tp f the header s backgrund image, even when an agent (r brker) uplads a custm image Simplified fters, cmpletely custmizable by the user with up t fur branding fields and available as an ptin regardless f the header package As part f the upgrade t Matrix 7 all agent s existing headers/fters will be migrated t the new frmat. Agents with a Header/Fter Package selected in 6.14 will get an updated versin f that same package s image, with system-defined default branding fields displayed ver the tp f it. The MLS will likely wish t prvide new, larger images fr any packages which are custm t just that MLS and were nt riginated by CreLgic. Agents with a custm header image will retain that image, but n branding text will be displayed ver the tp f it. The clr they have specified as their backgrund clr will nw be used as a backgrund clr fr the header when printing. Agents with a custm Print Fter image will lse that image, as Print Fters in Matrix 7 are text and nt images. Agents wh have n Header/Fter specified befre will have n Header/Fter after the upgrade. Ntificatins f Prtal Activity Agents can be ntified via r text f recent Prtal activity by their cntacts, and/r receive a daily summary f activity fr all their cntacts. The fllwing actins will trigger ntificatins: A cntact visits their Prtal fr the first time A cntact adds ntes t a listing A cntact saves a listing as a Favrite A cntact saves a search Fr each MLS-enabled ntificatin trigger, each agent may chse whether they wish t receive ntificatins and hw they wish t receive them: ASAP via , ASAP via text, r in a daily summary Text messages are sent via the agent s mbile phne carrier s SMS r MMS gateway; all majr prviders currently ffer such a gateway but CreLgic cannt guarantee future supprt. ASAP ntificatins f a cntact visiting their Prtal are sent immediately, allwing the agent t knw when a cntact is lking at real estate and thus may be ideal t get in tuch with. ASAP ntificatins f all ther activity are sent nly when n ther ntificatin fr that cntact has been sent within the past ten minutes, in rder t prevent a deluge f ntificatins if the cntact is very active and als allw cntext fr multiple actins n a single listing t be included iwthin the same ntificatin (i.e. saved as a favrite and added ntes). 5 Agent Web Pages Agent Web Pages will nw be available ffering a prfessinal webpage integrated with IDX search functinality and hsted n the Matrix web server with the same lk and feel as the updated private client prtals. Like the new Prtal, the Agent Web Pages nw prvide: Fluid layuts which fit cntent t the user s screen Deprecatin f the Mbile versin f the Agent Web Page A standard set f multiple layuts fr brwsing listings Supprt fr gegraphic fields n the search frm The agent may enrich their Hme page t include any f the same cntent sectins as their Prtal s prfile page, supplementing the primary cntent they already have cnfigured. T Activate an agent web page, select that feature under My Matrix settings and select Enable Agent Web Page. The map area can be cnfigured fr the agent s website display. A url is created fr the agent web page t use as a standalne site r link frm an existing site. A custm dmain may als be added and cnfigured t redirect t the Agent Webpage. IDX Searches IDX search is als nw available as a frameable link t incrprate int an existing web site Fr all types f IDX searches map-based, frm-based, and My Listings links: Fluid layuts which fit cntent t the user s screen are supprted, but in rder t achieve this the agent r brker framing the IDX search must change the dimensins f their IDX iframe frm fixed pixel-based dimensins t fluid percentage-based dimensins. The style f text and buttns has been updated t reflect the fresher lk f the new Prtal. Buttn clrs can n lnger be custmized via just a shrt list f clr ptins, but rather nw inhereit the same clr scheme as defined fr the header backgrund and header text. IDX Map Searches, like the new Prtal, have been updated t supprt: A standard set f multiple layuts fr brwsing listings Supprt fr gegraphic fields n the search frm Pin clustering n the map when the number f results is between 500 and 5000 Ggle Maps All map images and mapping related functinality in Matrix nw use Ggle as a map prvider, replacing Bing. General functinality and behavir remains largely unchanged, but several small differences are wrth nting: Bth street maps and satellite views are much mre up-t-date in mst lcatins Parcel bundaries and building ftprints display n the street map in many lcatins The printable map display as well as the map page in the CMA nw clr each pin based n the assciated listing s status Digital Map Prducts verlays (used by a small number f MLSes) are n lnger supprted; equivalent verlays are available frm CreLgic As part f the Matrix 7 upgrade any listings which have a Gecde Surce f Bing have been regecded. 6 Changes t Listing Phts Listing and rster phts are n lnger padded with white margins in the image file itself in rder t maintain a unifrm size. Padding is still added t traditinal nn-respnsive displays in rder t ensure prper layut, s the change is largely invisible t end users This change applies as well t images served via RETS, and will affect RETS users/vendrs if they have cme t rely n all images being a unifrm size If a user requests an image at a size which has assciated dimensins f 640x480, they will get an image n wider than 640 and n taller than 480, but it will n lnger be exactly 640x480 every time; it will instead retain the aspect rati f the riginal image and cntain n superfluus white margins.
