7 Intrductin Simba ODBC Driver with SQL Cnnectr fr Salesfrce is used t access Salesfrce.cm. The driver enables Business Intelligence (BI), analytics and reprting n Salesfrce.cm data. System Requirements Files Each cmputer where yu install Simba ODBC Driver with SQL Cnnectr fr Salesfrce must meet the fllwing minimum system requirements: One f the fllwing perating systems (32- and 64-bit editins are supprted): Windws XP with SP3 Windws Vista Windws 7 Prfessinal Windws Server 2008 R2 30 MB f available disk space Imprtant: T install the driver, yu need Administratr privileges n the cmputer. Simba ODBC Driver with SQL Cnnectr fr Salesfrce driver libraries are delivered in a ZIP archive having the name SimbaSalesfrceODBC.zip. Right-click the Driver value yu created in step 6, and then click Mdify 8. In the Edit String dialg, type Simba Salesfrce ODBC Driver in the Value Data field, and then click OK 9. Right-click the Simba Salesfrce DSN key yu created in step 4, then click New, and then click String Value 10. Type Descriptin, and then press ENTER 11. Right-click the Descriptin value yu created in step 10, and then click Mdify 12. In the Edit String dialg, type Simba Salesfrce DSN in the Value Data field, and then click OK 13. Right-click the Simba Salesfrce DSN key yu created in step 4, then click New, and then click String Value 14. Type MetadataLevel, and then press ENTER 15. Right-click the Simba Salesfrce DSN value yu created in step 26, and then click Mdify 28. Type Simba Salesfrce ODBC Driver, and then press ENTER Cnfiguring Cmmn Settings T specify the lcatin f files string settings cmmn t all instances f the driver: 1. Click the Start menu, then type regedit in the Search field, and then press ENTER 2. If yu are installing the 32-bit driver n 32-bit Windws r the 64-bit driver n 64-bit Windws, then brwse t the fllwing key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SIMBA OR If yu are installing the 32-bit driver n 64-bit Windws, then brwse t the fllwing key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ww6432Nde\SIMBA 3.
