3 Knwn Issues Installatin If yu are unable t cnnect t the Cntrl Service after installing Windws update KB , install the htfix KB t reslve this issue. The dwnlad links can be fund at the Micrsft Supprt Knwledge Base. Reprt Center Fr Best Practice Reprts at the farm level, the Rating cunt is nt included (applies t SharePint 2013). If users d nt re-deply the Web parts in SharePint after upgrading their DcAve versin t SP3 CU2, they may have issues cllecting and saving the scial data. Tp Discussin and Tp Blg Pst Web Parts in SharePint 2010 experience versin site cllectins within a SharePint 2013 farm will still cllect data f discussin bard likes and Web parts in the SharePint 2013 experience versin site cllectins, even thugh the like feature des nt exist in SharePint As a result, the number f likes is included in the ttal cunt f discussin and blg pst activities, but nt displayed in the reprts. When yu set the scpe f a Scial Activity Web Part as Current site, including subsites, and then a new subsite is created, the Scial Cllectr des nt recgnize the newly created subsite. As a wrkarund, after creating a new subsite, navigate t the Scial Prperties selectin f the Web part, click Change Selectin t pen the Item Display Cnfiguratin windw, and then click OK t re-save the cnfiguratin. After the bject selectin has been updated, data fr this Web part will be cllected prperly. Strage Optimizatin Cnnectr Flders in DcAve Cntent libraries cnverted frm SharePint dcument libraries are nt prperly synchrnizing changes made t the SharePint flder (applies t SharePint 2013). If a file is deleted after it is mved frm ne Cnnectr library t anther, and a full synchrnizatin jb runs, the file is nt deleted in its Net Share strage lcatin. Cnnectr libraries cannt be created fr SharePint 2013 site cllectins that are using SharePint 2010 experience versin templates. If files r flders in a SharePint Cnnectr library are renamed while the Agent service is dwn, the changes will nt sync back t the cnfigured path. When upgrading SharePint 2010 t SharePint 2013, the Asset Library which is cnverted t the Cnnectr library cannt currently be upgraded. The data in the Asset Library cannt be used after the upgrade. 3

Administratin Cntent Manager The value f the Cmpleted clumn in the survey list changes frm the surce N t the destinatin Yes after perfrming a Cntent Manger jb frm a SharePint On-Premise site cllectin t a SharePint Online site cllectin (applies t SharePint 2010). After running a Cntent Manager jb t cpy SharePint bjects frm the surce dcument library in the SharePint On-Premise farm t a manually inputted library in the SharePint Online farm, the cnfigured Change t Managed Metadata setting (Allw multiple term values) in the clumn mapping des nt wrk. The values f the surce clumns are lst in the destinatin (applies t SharePint 2013). After running a Cntent Manager jb t cpy the SharePint bjects frm a Cmmunity site (including Discussin list) t a Team site (including Discussin list), the surce discussin cannt be pened in the destinatin; the Delete actin in the List Settings disappears in the destinatin; and the Site Cmmunity feature cannt be activated in the destinatin (applies t SharePint 2013). When cpying SharePint bjects frm a site cllectin whse experience versin is 2010 and that has activated the Dcument Set feature t a site cllectin whse experience versin is 2013, the surce dcument settings are nt cpied t the destinatin site cllectin whse experience versin is 2013 (applies t SharePint Online 2013 farms). Deplyment Manager When cntent types in bth the surce and the destinatin have matching names but mismatched types, the cntent type will nt be verwritten t the destinatin. A new cntent type will be added with a number appended t the riginal name (applies t SharePint 2010). Replicatr Cntent Query Web part cntents d nt always display crrectly in the destinatin because the Cntent Query Web part's assciated cntent des nt exist in the data destinatin and is therefre nt included in the replicatin jb. As a slutin, ensure that the Cntent Query Web part's assciated cntent is included in the surce scpe r that it exists in the data destinatin (applies t SharePint 2010). T avid issues replicating related terms n the item level in SharePint 2010 envirnments, make sure Managed Metadata Service is assciated with the Web Applicatin in bth the surce and destinatin. 4 New file versins created by the Hld and ediscvery feature f SharePint 2013 cannt be replicated by Real-Time replicatin because the new file keeps the Mdified Time f the previus versin. The file will be replicated when a scheduled replicatin jb runs.

5 The maximum length f usernames f Site Cllectin Administratr, Site Owner, and Farm Administratr grups cannt exceed 1024 (applies t SharePint 2013). Data Prtectin High Availability High Availability supprts SharePint 2010 nly. High Availability sync r failver jbs may fail when multiple grups are selected frm the dashbard. Platfrm Backup and Restre If multiple Search Service Applicatins exist in a SharePint 2013 farm, and their index cmpnents are nt stred in the same SharePint server, index cmpnents cannt be backed up during a search service applicatin backup. If perfrming an ut-f-place restre f a backed-up TDE-encrypted database and the Master Key f the surce is nt created in the destinatin befrehand, DcAve fails the ut f place restre jb. As a wrkarund, n the destinatin SQL Server, use the fllwing SQL statement t create the same master key as the surce ne: "USE master; GO CREATE MASTER KEY ENCRYPTION BY PASSWORD = '<YurPasswrdHere>'; G" Then perfrm the ut f place restre jb t restre the TDE-encrypted database. Out f place restre frm TDE-encrypted database backups cannt be restred t destinatins withut a Master key. T create a Master Key in the destinatin SQL Server, use the fllwing SQL statement: "USE master; GO CREATE MASTER KEY ENCRYPTION BY PASSWORD = '<YurPasswrdHere>'; G" Mdify the value f the element <FrceUseCache>false</FrceUseCache> t true befre perfrming the backup jb in rder t successfully generate the index. Granular Backup and Restre When using dmain mapping, the dmain mapping will nt take effect if the suffix f the dmain name is added. Fr example, dmainname.cm (applies t SharePint 2013). Restring site cllectins where a subsite has brken permissins inheritance results in the restred subsite inheriting permissins and the site cllectin permissin levels absrbs any 5

6 unique permissin level created in the subsite prir t the backup jb (applies t SharePint 2013). The usernames f the Site Cllectin Administratrs, Site Owners and Farm Administratrs grups are stred in the specified fields in the crrespnding databases.
