Althugh a list f active knwn issues is prvided in sectin 5 f these release ntes, tw imprtant issues have been discvered recently within the Emersn Netwrk Pwer RPC2 cmmunicatin mdule firmware. This update f the release ntes highlights these issues specifically, and prvides the reslutins fr each. Firmware Versin A reachable time server may interfere with data synchrnizatin prcesses, causing a suspensin f web and SNMP services. After a rebt, the web page with a message (The web server is attempting t cnnect t a server) displays indefinitely and lg in is nt pssible. Unfrtunately, clearing the brwser cache des nt fix the issue. T reslve this issue, restre the time server setting t the pl.ntp.rg factry default value. If the RPC2 cmmunicatin mdule cannt be accessed remtely, then perfrm a manual reset t the factry default by pressing the mdule s Reset buttn r resetting this within the Emersn Netwrk Pwer MPH2 pwer distributin unit (PDU) LCD/tuch key interface. NOTE: See the installer/user guide prvided with the RPC2 cmmunicatin mdule fr mre infrmatin n lcating the mdule Reset buttn. T reset the mdule t factry defaults: T manually reset the mdule t factry defaults, use a paper clip t reach and press the mdule s Reset buttn five times at ne secnd intervals. Sn, the netwrk prt status lights will turn ff briefly t indicate restart f the mdule. -r- Cmplete the fllwing steps t reset t factry defaults frm the MPH2 PDU LCD/tuch key interface: 1. Use the arrw keys t highlight the Infrmatin icn and press Select. 2. Use an arrw key t highlight Rebt and press Select. 1

2 3. Use the arrw keys t highlight an up r dwn arrw n the bttm-left, then press Select t highlight Restre Defaults. 4. Use the arrw keys t highlight the Play icn and press Select. 5. When the cnfirmatin screen appears, use the arrw keys t highlight the up r dwn arrw, press Select t highlight Yes/Rebt t Default, then press Select again t restre the system default settings. Firmware Versin A temprary file was nt deleted frm a previus firmware update, which prevents successful uplading f a new firmware image. The firmware update prcess des nt start, and the fllwing errr message displays: Errr 503 Service Unavailable- Insufficient file system space t d firmware update! T reslve this issue, perfrm a remte r manual rebt t the RPC2 cmmunicatin mdule, then try the firmware update again. The mdule can be rebted manually n the mdule via the Reset buttn, thrugh the web interface r thrugh the Emersn Netwrk Pwer MPH2 pwer distributin unit (PDU) LCD/tuch key interface. Web Interface Imprved firmware update message ntificatin and prgress reprting fr OBWI screens and when using FTP r TFTP prtcls. Reslved miscellaneus tltip and graphical issues. Emersn Netwrk Pwer MPH2 Devices Fixed issue with the ttal energy calculatin incrrectly reprted lw by a factr f tw. The pwer measurement was crrectly measured but the wrng time interval was applied. A reset t factry defaults will nw turn n all receptacles fr mdels having receptacle pwer cntrl. Fixed issue causing unexpected receptacle pwer states if a rebt issued when 4

Cmmand Line Interface (CLI) Cnfiguratin HTTP/HTTPS Fixed reprting lgic f lgppdupslinetable fr 2P3W and 3P4W mdel types. Previusly, if an RPC2 rack PDU pwer cycled r restarted after a Cycle Receptacle(s) Pwer cmmand, a Disable Receptacle(s) Pwer cmmand was autmatically and incrrectly issued after it rebted. This issue is nw fixed. HTTPS is nw the factry default setting. Fixed issue when, n the Sensr Cnfiguratin page, an SN-3C sensr is shwn with tw "-2" entries and "-3" is nt displayed. Sensrs The SN-L sensr nw retains the alarm state indicated by its red LED thrugh the rediscvery prcess. Previusly, when attempting t cnfigure and save Temperature Display t Fahrenheit, it reverted back t Celsius. This issue is fixed. Fixed table view f lgppdupslinetable fr an MPX PDU array greater than tw. Fixed reprting lgic f lgppdupslinetable fr 2P3W and 3P4W mdel types. SNMP lgppdurcpentryblinkled returns N Supprt fr MPH2-B PDU mdels. Fixed issue that lgppdupslineentryecthrshldovralarm, lgppdupslineentryecthrshldovrwarn, lgppdupslineentryecthrshldundralarm cannt be set fr MPH2-B PDU mdels with wiring types 2P3W, 2P4W, 3P4W and 3P5W. Fixed memry leak when NTP sync is requested. SNTP SWOCP Datalg Fixed issue ccurring when a factry default reset is executed and the System Date and Time defaults t :xx:xx. It appears the RPC2 rack PDU is nt btaining the current date/time frm the default NTP server. Previusly, when the SWOCP was enabled and the ver current alarm cnditin was met, the Over Current Prtectin Event with the Active state was nt displayed in the Event lg until the Event lg was flushed. This issue is fixed. The "Active" state cannt be cleared in spite f remving lad r changing threshlds. Als, the "Active" state lgs inherit the date/time f the flush actin, nt the expected date/time f actual ccurrence. Vltage reprting fr the Liebert MPH PDUs. 4. Upgrade Instructins The Emersn Netwrk Pwer RPC2 rack PDU cmmunicatins card/mdule may be updated t this firmware using the web-based firmware update feature described in Sectin (System Tab- Firmware Update) f the RPC2 Cmmunicatins Mdule User Manual (R09-14, SL-20841). 5

6 5. Knwn Issues Feature Descriptin Wrkarund Web Interface Older brwser versins may nt crrectly render certain graphical features. A nn-maximized windw may hide sme tabs. If Adware/virus in the hst PC, accessing it will cause rebts. Use nly cmpatible brwsers versins advised abve. Fr the best experience, the recmmended minimum hrizntal reslutin is 1200px. Delete brwser cache, clse brwser and lg in again. A reminder message is nw displayed at the lg in screen. Sensrs Prir t RPC2 card Rev4 hardware assembly, fr Liebert SN prefix family f mdular sensrs cnfiguratins having greater than three mdular SN-2D and SN-3C sensrs n the same string, the sensr discvery prcess can becme unstable depending upn the sensr cabling prximity t nisy pwer cabling. The symptms may include ccasinal Absent Sensr events r the inability t discver ne r mre sensrs. Prir t RPC2 PDU card Rev3 hardware assembly, the Liebert SN Leak Detectin Sensr (SN-L) is nt supprted. The temperature Fahrenheit setting reverts t Celsius setting after rebt. Please refer t the Emersn RPC2 card Liebert SN Mdular Sensrs Discvery Prcess Technical Bulletin fr mre detail. Avcent DSView sftware and Avcent Rack Pwer Manager sftware servers fail t discver MPH2 rack PDUs using IPv6 subnet range. Upgrade Firmware is nt supprted in Https mde. Upgrade Firmware may display false failure message due t premature timeut fr RPC2 plugin versin When the Netwrk is cnfigured t a specific Speed/Duplex (besides Aut), the peratin f the Ethernet LAN prt remains at 1000 Mbps/Full Duplex. The Ethernet LAN prt des nt perate at the cnfigured Speed/Duplex. Nt available at this time. Use OBWI cnfiguratin t enter up t 250 characters at System-Settings-Messaging screen. Use OBWI t clear active event at System-Device Change-Active Events screen. Fr the Add Appliance Wizard, select the Add ne r mre appliances by IP address ptin instead. Click Netwrk-Access Cntrl in navigatin tree, select Http under Web Server drp dwn list bx, click Save, and then try Upgrade Firmware again. Alternatively, perfrm firmware update via the RPC2 OBWI directly. Ignre message. Click Appliance-Agent link in navigatin tree and cnfirm new Firmware Versin number is crrect. Select Aut (1000 Mbs/Full/Duplex mde. Authenticatin Attempts t lg int the RPC2 PDU fail when using Radius as remte authenticatin with a passwrd cntaining special characters. Passwrds with n special characters wrks fine. Nt available at this time. SWOTP If the sensr string is discnnected and pwer cycle r rebt ccurs, then if it is recnnected afterwards, all receptacles with SWOTP enabled are autmatically switched ff.
