3 1. Intrductin This catalgue fr exams and testing is a supplement t the valid curriculum fr PBIE beginning in summer 2018 at UCL University Cllege, Denmark. Descriptin f curse element testing the individual examinatins Exam: Innvatin Plan (1 st sem exam) ECTS: 25 Internal Timing: Time Hand-ut Hand-in Exam week nvember december december december january january januayr february february 2019 Exam frm: Written reprt ral individual exam Detailed descriptin f the examinatin frm: The first internal examinatin is a cmbined written and ral exam related t the subjects f first semester. The ral examinatin is taking the pint f departure in a written reprt, the students are making a grup presentatin and afterwards they are examined individually. The first internal examinatin is partly a grup exam. A grup is defined as 3-5 peple. Other criteria fr testing are: The length f the written reprt must be equivalent t characters incl. spaces per student. Thus a grup f 3 students will require characters incl. spaces. It must be clearly written wh is respnsible fr which part f the reprt. The ral exam is 20 minutes grup presentatin fllwed by a 30 minutes individual exam. The examinatin time includes discussin and awarding f the. There is an internal censr. Assessment: A single mark fr bth the written and ral perfrmance is given accrding t the 7-pint grading scale. Which means the written part f the repprt and the individual defens f the repprt. Gradingn is based n bth the written and ral part as well as the handed in prttype given accrding t the 7-pint grading scale. Other criteria fr testing are: The length f the add n written reprt must be equivalent t characters incl. spaces per student and a prtype. 7 Exam: Elective subject exam (2 nd sem) ECTS: 5 Internal Timing: At the end f 2nd semester Exam frm: Written reprt ral individual exam Detailed descriptin f the examinatin frm: The exam fr the elective in the 2nd semester takes its pint f departure in an individual written reprt and an individual ral defense. The mark fr the elective is awarded accrding t the 7-pint grading scale and is a cmbined evaluatin f the written and ral perfrmance. There is a delivery bligatin fr the elective regarding 1) the filing f a bk list (syllabus) and 2) the submissin f a prject plan fr the elective. This is intended t prvide the student with training in wrking independently in an academic cntext befre addressing the BA Prject. Exam: Internship exam (3 rd sem) ECTS: 15 Internal Timing: In the middle f the semester (after internship) Exam frm: Written reflective reprt (n ral exam) Detailed descriptin f the examinatin frm: After cmpleting the internship, the student is examined in a written reflective reprt. A single mark is awarded accrding t the 7-pint grading scale fr an assessment f the written reprt. The written reprt shuld cnsist f characters incl. spaces and cnsist at least f a reflectin n thery and practice in relatin t the student s set learning bjec-tives fr the internship. There will be n ral exam. Assessment: A single mark fr the written perfrmance is given accrding t the 7-pint grading scale. 8 Exam: Bachelr Prject ECTS: 15 External Timing: January 2020 Exam frm: Written reprt ral individual exam Detailed descriptin f the examinatin frm: The Bachelr exam cnsists f a written reprt and an ral exam. Students are allwed t establish grups f up t 3 peple regarding the written reprt. If students write a reprt tgether, the reprt must clearly state wh has written which parts f the reprt. The ral exam is individual. See 14.3 fr EAL guidelines regarding the written reprt. Guidelines fr the ral exam: The ral exam is individual and lasts 45 minutes pr. student. It is based n the reprt and the time allcated includes any discussin as well as the decisin regarding the mark. The student has the first 10 minutes fr presenting the reprt and any relevant Is-sues cnnected with the reprt. Apprx. 25 minutes are allcated fr discussin between the student, examiner, and external censr. The final 10 minutes are allcated fr awarding the mark. The mark is given accrding t the 7-pint scale and cvers bth the written reprt and ral defense an verall assessment. Assessment: A single mark fr bth the written and ral perfrmance is given accrding t the 7-pint grading scale. Descriptin f cmpulsry learning activities The prgramme stipulates that a student must meet sme prerequisite requirements t participate in an exam. These prerequisites are called cmpulsry learning activities. The cmpulsry learning activities can be fund in the semester pl 8
