9 Quick and safe pc board connection Safe, reiabe, quick and fexibe connection systems are ony perfect if they are aso quick and easy to insta. X Synergy: 3D-sectiona mode with a around protected SFP Transceiver It s not without good reason that we have designed one series of our jacks with the same ength as SFP modues. Our system, for which we have taken out a patent, aows the device designer to connect our edge connector to the same pc board and in doing so to achieve combined operation of RJ45 and fiber optic systems. RJ45 jacks and SFP Transceiver are both protected by an integrated shieding. The idea to no onger insta device jacks as part of the sodering process but to reocate this procedure to the assemby process has been readiy wecomed by a great many device manufacturers - incuding when the deicate connections on the pc board need to be protected against the mechanica strain exerted by bayonet fittings. At the same time, we sti want and have to cater for the traditiona way of connecting jacks to pc boards.
