3 BMW R00 GS // Skid Plte // Instlltion Instructions Do not use trditioinl socket (internl hex) to remove the externl torx You will strip the teeth. For the ske of visiility, I lid our R down onto our AltRider Crsh Brs. We recommend doing this instlltion on the side stnd or center stnd. () Using n 8mm spnner, hold the virtion isoltion mounts while () using the mm socket nd rtchet to loosen nd remove the rer nuts. (your hrdwre my vry) Mke certin tht your front rcket through olt is tightened to the OEM spec () Use n E0 socket to remove the lrge externl torx fstener then () use n E8 socket to remove the smller externl torx fstener. () hold the supplied M8 fstener (nd wsher) in plce nd () slide the luminum spcer over it, then put the skid plte on nd strt the threds with your finger. (use thred locker)

4 BMW R00 GS // Skid Plte // Instlltion Instructions The skid plte depicted is our prototype. The fit nd finish of your skid plte will e slightly different from ours. Use mm llen tool to tighten the M socket hed cp fstener. (don t forget to use thred locker) Tighten to MFG torque specifictions. Put one drop of thred locker (provided) on the lst couple of threds of the virtion isoltion mounts. 7 () Use mm spnner to hold the virtion isoltion mount while you, () tighten the mm nut. Tighten the M8 nd the mm nuts to the MFG torque spec. 8 Your Skid Plte should look like this Mke certin your fsteners re ll tightened to the MFG torque spec. After 00 miles of riding, check the fsteners gin to mke sure ll is well.

You will not e reusing these, so leve them in the OEM skid plte nd store it in sfe plce. The metl clip depicted is used to downsize the hole in the mount rcket to fit mm fstener. You will not need this clip, or the fstener. The other OEM front fstener () is x 0mm torx hed. This fstener is too long, nd so we provide () x cp hed screw with wsher. You ll use llen key to tighten this.
