It will be run by F5 instructr, Mr Håkan Samuelssn This three-day curse will get yu familiar with BIG-IP Lcal Traffic Manager, Glbal Traffic Manager, and security mdules, including Advanced Firewall Manager, Applicatin Security Manager, and Access Plicy Manager thrugh a cmbinatin f instructr presentatins and hands-n virtual labs. 50 % f the curse will be lab-sessins. 2 PURPOSE Summary This curse is designed t prvide F5 UNITY sales partners with the necessary skills and knwledge t discuss and demnstrate the value f F5 slutins t custmers. Backgrund This curse is based n the F5 Technical Bt Camp prvided t newly hired F5 Sales Engineers. The riginal curse spans seven days f instructin, cvers several F5 BIG-IP mdules, and prvides students with presentatin skills training. The partner editin prvides reduced cverage f mdules and mits presentatin skills training, while including greater emphasis n Synthesis messaging and white-barding practice. Furthermre, the partner editin is designed fr mdular custmizatin t accmmdate a variety f training needs amng glbal theatres. Prgram Objectives Build the F5 technical cmpetency f UNITY partner pre-sales system engineers. Prvide UNITY partner pre-sales engineers with hands n experience relevant t their jb tasks and F5 certificatin exam preparatin. 4 PEREQUISITES What Is Required Befre Taking this Curse? T ensure that participants get the mst ut f bt camp, we require that they cmplete the fllwing training and accreditatin befre attending. F5 Technical Sales Accreditatin LTM Fundamentals (5-day nline curse) Preparatry BIG-IP system image cnfiguratin exercise (2-hur exercise) Required Prerequisites In rder t be fully prepared, yu must cmplete several prerequisites. Make sure t set aside adequate time t cmplete the prerequisites. Depending upn yur familiarity with F5 prducts, yu will need t set aside hurs t cmplete the required assignments. F5 Technical Sales Accreditatin Cmplete the F5 Technical Sales Accreditatin available n F5 University. Laptp Requirements Yu will need cmplete the vlab requirements n a laptp, and bring this laptp t class. Windws r a Mac laptp with at least 16GB f free disk space and at least 8GB f RAM (16GB is recmmended). TMOS Architecture v VMware Wrkstatin Virtual images: BIGIP ALL-scsi.va LAMP_3.4 DS_Tl_3.0 VLab Installatin Yu must install the vlab fr TMOS v11.6 which yu will use t cmplete the LTM Fundamentals prerequisite curse and hands-n exercises during bt camp. Installatin instructins fr the vlab are available in the first part f the LTM Fundamentals Hands-On Exercise Guide (see next requirement fr mre infrmatin abut the guide). LTM Fundamentals LTM Fundamentals cnsists f 11 training mdules which include elearning presentatins, hands-n exercises, and assessments. Yu must cmplete the full LTM fundamentals curse, including the hands-n exercises, t ensure that yur knwledge and skills are at the crrect level t participate in the bt camp. Hands-n exercises, and vlab installatin instructins, are available in the LTM Fundamentals Hands-On Exercise Guide, lcated within the LTM Fundamentals curse n F5 University. T get started with yur prerequisites, yu will need t access F5 University. If yu have nt yet set up an F5 University accunt, cmplete the frm here: Make sure yu select the ptin t get access t the Partner Resurce Center. Yu ll receive an acknwledgement nce yur accunt request is apprved. It shuld take lng t get the apprval, but let me knw if yu dn t receive it by nn the fllwing day.

5 Once yur accunt is apprved, lg n t F5 University, and lcate the prerequisite training yu need t cmplete. Fr LTM fundamentals, Click Training Catalg n the menu n the left, and then expand the Prduct and Slutin training menu. LTM Fundamentals is the first curse in the list under Prduct and Slutin Training. (Please nte that there is an lder curse named LTM Essentials. D nt select this curse.)
