The NCU system sftware 2.5 SP3 (internal Versin ) cnsists f the fllwing cmpnents: NCK sftware V SNCK V PLC-OpSys BeSy V (PLC 317) PLC-OpSys V (PLC 319) PLC-FB15 V CP V MCP Client V SINAMICS Sftware V HMI-sl V LinuxBase V SNC V Technlgy Cycles V Measuring Cycles V Cycles ISO Cmpatibility V MachineDataFrCycles V Adapting Cycles V Installatin f the NCU sftware: T install the NCU sftware, yu need the NCU service system V r higher n a USB stick. The new installatin can nly be carried ut with the NCU service system and TCU with full keybard resp. WinSCP. Installatins withut keybard r WinSCP can nly be perfrmed with an USB stick that has been prepared fr autmatic upgrade (see 1.5). The sftware may nly be installed n a 1GB SanDisk CmpactFlash MLFB / rder n. fr the empty card: 6FC5313-5AG00-0AA Installatin f the NCU service system n USB stick: The NCU service system is stred as a USB stick image in directry emergency_btsys_ncu n the supplied DVD. The cpy rutine installdisk.exe is stred in the same lcatin. Cnnect a USB stick 512MB r 1GB, recmmended type Siemens 6ES7648-0DCx0-0AA0, t yur prgramming device r PC (with Windws XP) and nte dwn the letter f the drive t which the stick is cnnected. Run rutine installdisk t cpy the NCU service system t the USB stick: installdisk --verbse --blcksize 1m <Image file> <Drive letter:> Example: ( -- means 2x minus sign) installdisk --verbse --blcksize 1m D:\ emergency_btsys_ncu\linuxbase-512m.img X: The capacity f each USB stick is thus limited t 512MB. Alternatively: installdisk --verbse --blcksize 1m D:\ emergency_btsys_ncu\linuxbase-resize.img X: When using the resize.img, bt the NCU frm this USB stick after the installatin t unpack the image nt the Siemens AG, 2010 I DT MC R&D 51 Page 1 f 29

Fr this, yu require administratr rights n yur PG / PC. After cmpletin f installdisk remve the USB stick frm the PG / PC and insert it again. Under Windws yu can nw see an empty USB stick. Nw cpy the desired NCU sftware (file with extensin.tgz) frm directry ncu_sw n the delivered DVD t this USB stick. The USB stick can be cnnected t ne f the tw USB cnnectrs f the NCU 7x0. The NCU will bt frm this USB stick after pwer ON. The system perates either via a TCU that is cnnected t the NCU, r via PG / PC thrugh WinSCP under "Open Terminal". Instructins n hw t use the NCU service system can be fund in dcumentatin /IM7/ n the DVD supplied. 1.2 Upgrading NCU 7x0.2 with CNC SW 2.4 SP1 Prerequisite: 1GB CF card! Upgrading f SW 1.x is nt permissible; here, a new installatin is required! Where relevant, Sectin 9.5, Upgrading the cycles must be bserved. The upgrade retains all user data n the CF card in the directries /user, /addn, /em and the license key. When upgrading systems with a number f NCUs / PCU 50s, please refer t sectin 7 Netwrking. Bt the NCU frm the USB stick (see 1.1). Select the service shell by pressing F3. Lg n as user "manufact". An external keybard may be required fr this, as user names must be written in lwercase letters. Enter the fllwing cmmand after the peratr prmpt $ f the service shell: sc restre -update /data/<cnc-sw>.tgz The sftware update has finished when the prmpt $ reappears. Remve the USB stick. Bt the NCU (Pwer OFF / ON). Yu can nw start the PLC, drives and NC. 1.3 New installatin IMPORTANT: This prcedure cmpletely deletes anything existing n the CF card; this applies fr an empty CF card as well. Bt the NCU frm the USB stick (see 1.1). Select the service shell by pressing F3. Lg n as "manufact" user; if the CF card is empty use "admin", passwrd "SUNRISE" instead. An external keybard may be required fr this, as user names must be written in lwercase letters. Enter the fllwing cmmand after the peratr prmpt $ f the service shell: sc restre -full /data/<cnc-sw>.tgz Sftware installatin will be cmpleted when prmpt $ is displayed again. Remve the USB stick. Bt the NCU (Pwer OFF / ON). When the system is started with TCU(s) fr the first time, the TCU(s) must be lgged n t the system. Enter the TCU name (default TCUx) and the address f an assigned MCP. Yu can nw start the PLC, drives and NC. 1.4 Systems withut TCU If n OP with TCU (fr perating the NCU service system) is available fr sftware installatin accrding t 1.2 r 1.3, peratin is als pssible frm PCU50 r PC/PG using WinSCP (Cmmands / Open Terminal) r VNC Viewer. It may nt be pssible t install the Card withut NCU service-system n USB stick due t insufficient memry capacity n the CF card. 1.5 Autmatic upgrade using a btable USB stick: Siemens AG, 2010 I DT MC R&D 51 Page 2 f 29

Fr this, cpy a script (autexec.sh) and the NCU sftware nt the stick. The script name must nt be changed. The NCU sftware cpied nt the stick must be renamed int update.tgz r full.tgz. Then, set the rtary switch SIM/NCK n the NCU t psitin 7 and bt the NCU frm the stick. The script can nly be executed when the switch is in psitin 7. Otherwise, the system is bted frm the stick and branched int the service menu. On the basis f the NCU sftware designatin, the script decides whether t perfrm restre -update r restre - full. In additin, the script perfrms a data backup f the CF card befre restring. The prgress f the individual script steps can be mnitred at the 7-segment display resp. the internal HMI. The exact meaning f the displays and individual steps is described in a separate dcument. The script is stred n the delivery DVD. 2. New functins in NCK (r later) In machine data $MN_ASUP_EDITABLE, the machine manufacturer can set whether the Siemens system ASUP frm _N_CST_DIR r a user ASUP frm _N_CUS_DIR (_N_CMA_DIR) shall be executed fr RET r REPOS events. ET200S-F I/Os are supprted fr Safety Integrated. GETFREELOC can be called up several times during empty lcatin search in the tl management. The machine data $MA_JOG_AND_POS_MAX_JERK[axis] is nw active with NEWCONF. The cuplings TRAIL, LEAD and ELG are implemented fr (BCS) and (MCS). Fixed-pint apprach in JOG: Max. fur fixed pints can be defined via the machine data $MA_FIX_POINT_POS[]. The number f valid fixed pints is determined via the machine data $MA_NUM_FIX_POINT_POS. Apprach prcedure: - Select JOG mde - Activate via PLC interface (see 4.3) - Traverse axis using axis key (cntinuus resp. incremental) r handwheel until it stps autmatically. The axis stps at the defined fixed pint withut emitting an alarm message. The number f pssible parameterizable transfrmatins has been extended frm 10 t 20. Generic transfrmatin has been extended t include a 7th axis. The nesting depth f subprgrams and cntrl structures has been increased frm 8 t 16. The current axial setpint and actual braking path can be read using system variables. Empty lcatin search within turret magazines can be perfrmed using the same setting ptins as fr chain magazines. The prgram attribute ACTBLOCNO is used t utput the blck number frm the current blck cntaining the alarm upn alarm utput with active DISPLOF. Machine data $mc_ign_prg_state_asup defines whether the display f the ASUP name shall be suppressed. The ASUP is perfrmed silently. The functin Any Asup Active sets the new channel-specific VDI signal anyasupactive in DB.[channel].DBX The new channel-specific VDI signal silentasupactive is set in DB.[channel].DBX378 if an ASUP is perfrmed silently. Interruptability f ASUPs: Certain Prg-Events shall nt be prevented r stpped by VDI signal NC Stp DB[channel].DBX 7.3). The functin is activated by the bit-cded machine data $MC_PROG_EVENT_IGN_STOP fr any Prg-Events. The subprgram return RET(...) allws yu t return t a blck number r label f the calling prgram. This functin has been extended such that yu can als specify any string as return target. Time mnitring n synchrnus spindles: When reaching setpint-side synchrnizatin, tw time windws are initialized which are used t mnitr the time span until actual value-side carse resp. fine synchrnizatin is reached. The size f the time windws is taken frm MD $MA_COUP_SYNC_DELAY_TIME[0/1]. Index 0 fr fine synchrnizatin and Index 1 fr carse synchrnizatin. The value f zer deactivates the respective mnitring mde. If actual value-side carse/fine synchrnizatin is nt reached befre the relevant time windw has expired, Alarm is utput. 3. General infrmatin: After new installatin f CNC sftware 2.5 n CF card, a general reset f the NCU and PLC must be perfrmed: Change the SIM / NCK switch int psitin 1, the PLC switch int psitin 3 and perfrm a pwer OFF/ON. NCU 710 / NCU 720: The PLC prgram must initiate an immediate (apprx. 20 sec.) reactin t alarm "2120 NCK fan alarm" by stpping the axes in a cntrlled manner. NCU 730: The PLC prgram must initiate an immediate (apprx. 20 sec.) reactin t alarm "2120 NCK fan alarm" by stpping the axes in a cntrlled manner, if NO duble fan mdule is used. NCU 710 / NCU 720: The NCU will nt pwer up if a fan mdule is nt installed r if the fan is defective. This applies fr NCU 730 with duble fan mdule nly in the case f failure f bth fans. Alarm "%1 data have been restred, f which %2 machine data, %3 errr" If %3 indicates that mre than zer errrs have ccurred, it is nt advisable t cntinue wrking with the data. T avid further prblems, yu shuld read in an up-t-date backup cpy f the data. It is nt always pssible t prt an NCK series startup file frm 840D pwerline withut prcessing t 840D sl. Prir t verwriting a licensed CF card, a backup f the license key is abslutely necessary. The key is available in file keys.txt and is stred under the path card/keys/sinumerik The backup f the key can be carried ut, fr example, with WinSCP, by the PG / PC. Each license is assigned t a specific CF card (card ID) and is valid nly n the assigned card. Mini handheld unit An additinal hardware is nw required t perate a mini handheld with handwheel. As previusly the inputs are cnnected directly t the PLC I/Os r can alternatively be integrated int the input image f the MCP IE (X51 ) using a relevant cnnectin kit. Fr transmitting the handwheel signals a machine cntrl panel (Ethernet r PROFIBUS) r a handwheel cnnectin mdule is nw required. Data backups shuld be read in in the rder NC, PLC, drive. It will therefre make sense t create the archives NC, PLC and drive separately. Cntur handwheel and speed verride with handwheel has nly been released with Prfibus MCP. The reset buttn n the NCU enables the NCU mdule t be restarted. It is nt certain that this will restart the cmplete system in all cnfiguratins. This als applies fr the PI service f PLC with FB4. The catalg /siemens/system/etc. cntains a template fr the current standard basesys.ini. By default, Prt 102 n X130 is blcked. If yu wish t access the cntrller via X130 using STEP 7 r HMI, yu have t activate Prt 102. This can be achieved using the fllwing entry in the file /user/system/etc/basesys.ini: [LinuxBase] FirewallOpenPrts=TCP/102 If required, yu can als activate the Prt 5900 fr the VNC Viewer. The Ethernet handwheel f the HT2 is jumpered n the fifth handwheel interface. Example f three Ethernet handwheels. The variable descriptins f the NCVAR have t be adapted accrdingly. A revised example is prvided thrugh e_supprt r Tlbx The FC13 supprts the visualizatin f fur lines. As a result, the meaning f the "ROW" parameter has changed as fllws: 0 = N display utput 1 = 1st line 2 = 2nd line 3 = Line 1 and line 2 alternately 4 = 3rd line 5 = Line 1 and line 3 alternately 8 = 4th line F = Autmatic change f all lines The display cntents must be stred in the field ChrArray type string[64]. The upper fur keys are transferred t the PLC input image (the LEDs under these keys cannt yet be addressed). HT2: The update rate f the display and the transfer f the handwheel signals (this imprves the velcity cntrl f the handwheel) can be imprved as fllws: Cpy the mcp_client file in the directry card\siemens\sinumerik\mcp_client\mcp_client.ini int the card\users\sinumerik\mcp_client directry and in the HT2 sectin, change the entry cyclemcpsend = 50. The cntrl must then be pwered dwn/pwered up. Alarm 46xx: The machine data fr the Ethernet handwheel must be checked. Example fr the first handwheel: MD11350[0]=7, 11351[0]=1, 11352[0]=1 Cmbinatins f NCUs with SINAMICS Sxxx CUs have nt been released. Exceptins are nly permissible after prir cnsultatin. Spindle traversing with limited trque (Fcn) r spindle traversing t fixed stp: The perfrmance display at the HMI is calculated as 100% f the limited trque and displayed. With NCK V r later and ADI4 bard V , the ADI4 bard can be perated n 840D sl with internal PLC 317. As befre, Dbsi 1 is nt released fr SINUMERIK and integrated drive cntrl. NCU Bis V1.4 (r later) is required t perate 1GB CmpactFlash Cards in a NCU730. Siemens AG, 2010 I DT MC R&D 51 Page 5 f 29

Just as befre, in cnjunctin with 840 D sl, the Starter is nly enabled fr diagnstic purpses. 4. Infrmatin abut the NCK: If the number f part prgrams set via machine data nearly matches the currently available number, the value must be increased in the machine data (due t additinal cycles). Interplatry mvement f psitining axis is prevented with the alarm 8031 "...Axis has n IPO functinality." SPI and PW have (always) been key wrds and cannt be used as axis identifiers. Functin G643 (blck-internal smthing) has been released fr applicatins in the tl change area (e.g. ptimizatins fr appraching the tl change psitin). The functin has nt been released fr applicatins in the machining prcess. Functin G644 (smthing at max. pssible dynamics) has been released fr applicatins in the tl change area (e.g. ptimizatins fr appraching the tl change psitin). The functin has nt been released fr applicatins in the machining prcess. Sftware variant 6 axes max.: The default setting fr the number f axes is 3. The "Extended measurement" functin with distributed measuring input n the SINAMICS mdules is nt available (MEAC, MEASA, MEAWA). Gaps in the channel sequence are nt permitted in systems with a maximum f tw channels. Access t drive data via system variable $nn_nn is nt enabled. The nly available system variables are thse transferred in telegram 116. ESR is nt enabled. ASUBs can nw be started alng the line f the 840Di functinality via the Prfibus PLC I/Os. Machine data settings must be selected by the same methd used n the 840Di system. There are n high-speed NCK I/Os mapped in DB10 f the PLC. Hwever, the ASUB start ptins used in earlier versins (i.e. frm DB10 r FC9 via PLC prgram) are still available. High-speed ET200 Simatic mdules can be used as a replacement fr the DMP mdules used n Pwerline. Fr this, yu can perate ne f the tw Prfibus lines in synchrnism with the clck with PLC317 in cmbinatin with NCK V r later (mre details are prvided in a separate descriptin). With a 31-axis sftware n an NCU yu can use 6 ut f 31 axes and 4 ut f 10 channels. Machine data $MN_MAXNUM_PLC_CTRL_AXES is n lnger included in the data recrd. It has been replaced by MD MD $mn_psctrl_cycle_delay must be zer. Check the available data backup. Machine data $ma_rated_utval[ ] must have value zer. IMD (integrated mnitring & diagnstics): Feedback in GUD variable _PM_MISSING_TOOL_REFRESH after writing the variables t "1" is updated nly after image change. Safety: There is a new ptin handling referring t synchrnized actins r synchrnized actin elements. Up t versin 1.3 (NCK 62) synchrnized actin level 2 was set autmatically at the same time with ptin SI. Thus, channel MD 28250, NUM_SYNC_ELEMENTS culd be set t a value > 159. This has been changed with NCK versin 67. Synchrnized actin level 2 is n lnger included in Safety. Instead there is a new machine data, in which the synchrnized actin elements fr SAFE.SPF are defined, i.e. MD 28251, NUM_SAFE_SYNC_ELEMENTS. This machine data can be written with a max. value f 500 fr ptin SLP_I_O=1, and with a max. value f 5000 fr ptin SPL_I_O=2. Hwever, the number f synchrnized actin elements required shuld be determined in rder t prevent the perfrmance frm being laded unnecessarily. With system variable $AC_SAFE_SYNAC_MEM the relevant number f free SI synchrnized actin elements can be read. If this variable is called prir t starting and after running SAFE.SPF, the difference is the number f elements ccupied by SAFE.SPF. This difference adding a certain reserve shuld be entered in MD Index 1-5 must be indicated when writing MD via synchrnized actins. Safety: Changed check sums f Safety integrated in the drive. In rder t d this enter 95 (safety start-up) in parameter p10. Afterwards the parameters f the current check sum must be cpied t the parameters f the planned check sum. p9798 t p9799 p9898 t p9899 Then reset p10 t zer. This will autmatically save the values (p971=1 is set). Wait fr the prcess f saving t be cmpleted. The prcesses mentined abve can als be triggered in HMI Advanced under IBN/NC/Safety Integrated using the sftkeys "Activate start-up mde" and "Deactivate start-up mde". With Sftware Versin 1.5 HF2 / 2.4 SP1 r later, the HT2 can be used as handheld unit. The auxiliary functin M6 is n lnger utput as standard after blck search. Remedy: Change the auxiliary functin grup in MD $mc_auxfu_predef_grup[5] int an unassigned grup. If the value f MD18210 deviates frm the default, MD18210 must be increased by min. 21 MB DRAM t upgrade the system frm SW1.4 / 2.4 t SW1.5 / 2.5. SinuCmNC is nt released fr 840D sl, Sftware Versin 1.5 HF 4 and NCU sl 2.5 HF 1. This des n lnger apply fr 1.5 HF5 resp. 2.5 HF2. Frm sftware release 1.5 HF5 / 2.4 SP1 and higher, the HT2 can be used as handheld peratr unit. Depending n the setting in basesys.ini, the HT2 is bted frm the master (refer t the general infrmatin and instructins fr netwrked systems). The master can either be an NCU r a PCU 50. Tl Manager: There is a new handling ptin. If several real magazines are used, these must be enabled using the ptin. One real magazine is included in the basic scpe. Fr cmpatibility reasns, the previus ptin bit $ON_TECHNO_FUNCTION_MASK Bit4=1 must still remain set. This is, hwever, nt included in the license handling. The functin parking axis with SMI encder can nly be used with vltage ON/OFF. The functin fixed pint apprach G75 with active radius cmpensatin G41 / G42 Is nt permissible (alarm index 9). When perfrming fixed pint apprach with G75, the fixed pint is nw apprached with nn-linear interplatin (RTLIOF). As a cnsequence f this, the axes are traversed with the jerk set fr psitining axes ($MA_JOG_AND_POS_MAX_JERK). The machine data 11295[0..9] is nw memry cnfiguring. Alarms are n lnger utput when making changes. Values deviating frm the standard have t be remved in the existing archives prir t the upgrade. If yu wish t use the service interface X127 with PG/PC n an NCU7x0.2 with SW 2.6, yu have t ensure that the PG/PC netwrk interface is perated in the "DHCP Client" mde, that means "Autmatically btain IP address". After setting the PG/PC netwrk interface t a fixed IP ( xx), a ping is sent t X127, but yu cannt g nline with Step7 r SINUMERIK Operate. The firewall is activated via default setting. The maximum drive system lad f CU r NX may nt exceed 80% (the lad is displayed in parameter 9976[xx]). In the Reset status, the NCU lad applied by psitin cntrller and interplatr shuld nt exceed 50%. The current lad can be checked under Diagnsis / System resurces. The machine data $MC_ROT_AX_SWL_CHECK_MODE may nt deviate frm the standard. The functin TANGON with additinal parameter "P" has nt been released. Remedy: Use standard setting "S". Siemens AG, 2010 I DT MC R&D 51 Page 7 f 29

The retentive memry f PLC 319 is limited t 256kB. Deleting PLC 319: After deleting the PLC using the peratr sequence at the PLC rtary switch r frm Step 7, the PLC prgram is autmatically reladed. If PLC initializatin (bting) is initiated via an peratr actin by setting the PLC switch int psitin 3 fllwed by pwer ff/n, the PLC prgram is nt autmatically laded. This is then als n lnger realized with the abve-mentined peratr sequence. The current cycle time is n lnger available in DB5, but in DB8 instead. The cycle time can als be called via the start infrmatin f OB1. The PLC mdule IM153-2 MLFB 6ES AA02-0XB0 cannt be used. Remedy: 6ES AA03-0XB0 The PLC series startup file must be generated when the PLC is stpped. It cannt therwise be guaranteed that the PLC will switch t cyclic peratin when the data backup has been laded. Sinamics parameters are required fr start / delta switchver with FC17. Cntrary t the previus situatin, an address space fr six axes is nw reserved fr each CU r NX. This is realized when newly creating r adapting a PLC hardware cnfiguratin. As a result, addresses may be shifted r gaps ccur. This mdified address allcatin must then be cmmunicated t the NC in machine data 13050[nn], as therwise the allcatins will n lnger be crrect. This is especially true if existing NC data back-ups (archives) are being used as therwise these will n lnger match the PLC hardware cnfiguratin. Further, in HW Cnfig, the address f telegram 390 (PZD-2/2) f the first NX changes frm 6516 t When using additinal NX mdules, the address is incremented with an ffset f 10. Machine data MD13120[1+n] and, with active safety, in MD10393[nn] must be crrespndingly adapted. If existing PLC prjects are imprted int an S7 envirnment with new Drive ES SlaveOM, then the ld (previus) address cnfiguratins are kept. Hwever, the drive bjects that have been newly inserted int this prject receive the new address allcatin. A Standard (new) address allcatin is achieved using Rerganize addresses. If, fr NX bjects, the Standard telegram 1 (PZD-2/2) is entered frm an existing cnfiguratin, then this must be replaced by telegram 390 in rder t achieve a standard, new address allcatin. The HMI sl is als designated as internal HMI. HMI sl can nly be perated via an peratr panel equipped with TCU which is cnnected t the X120 f the NCU7x0 via Ethernet. Fr service purpses, it can als be perated via a PC/PG using VNC Viewer. Fr this, the entry "ExternalViewerSecurityPlicy=2" must be set in the tcu.ini. Cnfiguring data such as PLC message and alarm texts must be stred n the NCU CF Card in the crrespnding directries under /card/user/sinumerik/hmi/... r /card/em/sinumerik/hmi/... (see HMI sl Intallatin and Startup Guide). The file system n the CF Card can nly be accessed nline, that means n the running NCU. The cnversin table is included in the HMI sl Intallatin and Startup Guide, Chap The ptin Additinal 256MB HMI user memry n CF Card is required t stre part prgrams and archives n the CF Card ( lcal drive ). Binary files cannt be pened with the editr. Neither can yu pen files with ne f the fllwing extensin:.exe,.lib,.elf,.arc,.ts,.zip,.so,.png,.bmp,.ico,.cfs,.bin,.qm,.hmi,.cfg,.acx,.emf,.alm,.ard,.tgz,.pte,.cyc. Files which are newly created with the HMI sl editr are cded in UTF8 and have the LF character as end f blck ID. Special characters included in UTF8-cded files are displayed crrectly. When pening files, the HMI sl editr assumes that the files are UT8-cded. When pening files using ther cdes such as Windws cde page cding, special characters may nt be displayed crrectly. This refers, fr example, t files that have been created using the HMI-Advanced editr. The cding f such files is nt changed when being pened with the HMI sl editr. They are nt autmatically cnverted int UTF8 cde. If files are created / edited using an external editr (e.g. Ntepad under Windws) instead f the HMI sl editr, please ensure that the file is stred with UTF8 cde. Exceptins: Cmmissining / Service; HMI-Advanced fr the master peratr panel with permanently assigned MCP and 1 tl lading statin with HMI sl withut MCP. Remark: In this cnfiguratin, PLC alarm "M:N: HMI sign f-life missing" is utput after NCK reset resp. restart f the HMI sl. The tl management nly supprts 1 TO area in the NC. Only NC channel 1 can be simulated. N alarm help is available during simulatin. External part prgrams exceeding the available unassigned NC part prgram memry cannt be simulated. The data required fr simulatin may have t be adjusted after mdifying the NC cnfiguratin resp. reading in an NC series startup archive. The adjustment is initiated in the Cmmissining / HMI area via the sftkey "Simulatin Pwer On" n the 2nd vertical sftkey bar. Simultaneus recrding ptin: The prgram runtime display can be activated via MD $MC_PROCESSTIMER_MODE. The cntur editr generates G cdes using the Ge axis names f NC channel 1. The editr cannt display cdepage-cded language-specific special characters. Upper and lwer cases with path names used in jblist SELECT instructins that refert t part prgrams stred n CF Card r USB data carrier are relevant. 8. Infrmatin n the NCU Base sftware: The Linux perating system f the NCU7x0 is als referred t as the NCU Base sftware, similar t the PCU Base sftware fr the PCU 50. Yu will find the relevant dcumentatin in IM7 n the supplied DVD. The NCU base sftware ensures, amng ther things, the start f the NC, PLC, and HMI sftware during pwer-up as well as the bting f the TCU (if present). The NCU Base sftware is user-riented, i.e. yu must lg in and enter a passwrd in rder t btain specific access authrizatin. This current lgin and passwrd prtectin is relevant nly fr accessing a Linux service shell r the CF card using WinSCP. Fr startup and servicing activities, the lgin ID is "manufact" and the passwrd "SUNRISE" (case-sensitive!). T pen the Linux service shell n the TCU, press keys "Area switchver" and "Recall" (F10 and F9) simultaneusly, then "Scan fr Servers", "2" r bt frm the USB stick. Fr access via the netwrk using WinSCP, enter the abve mentined lgin and passwrd n the "Sessin" screen. This lgin prcedure als applies after the NCU7x0 has bted frm a USB stick with the NCU service system prvided that executable NCU sftware is installed n the CmpactFlash Card.
