Progressive Scnning While interlced scnning produces one frme of video in two fields, progressive scnning cretes one frme in one field. Conventionl interlced scnning constitutes one second with 30 frmes (60 fields), ut progressive scnning constitutes it with 60 frmes from scrtch. Progressive scnning cn reproduce shrper picture with high resolution for still imge or other picture contining long texts or horizontl lines. This model hs complince with 2p (progressive) system. Power Supply Connect the power cord to 120VAC 60Hz outlet. This unit is equipped with polrized plug. If you hve difficulty inserting the plug, turn it over nd reinsert it. If the unit will not e used for long time, disconnect the AC plug from the AC outlet. CAUTION: TO ELECTRIC SHOCK, MATCH WIDE BLADE OF PLUG TO WIDE SLOT, FULLY INSERT. Before plugging the power cord into n AC outlet, mke sure tht ll the connections hve een mde. The unit is not disconnected from the AC power unless the power cord is unplugged from the AC outlet. FOR SAFE AND EFFICI OPERATION Do not dmge the power cord. When not in use, disconnect the power cord from the outlet. Grsp the plug, not the cord, when disconnecting the unit. If wter should enter the unit, electricl shock or mlfunction my result. Use in n re where there is low humidity nd little dust. Do not disssemle or lter the unit in ny wy. Do not use the unit in res where extremes in temperture occur (elow 0 F ( C) or exceeding 9 F (3 C)), or where it my e exposed to direct sunlight. Becuse of the DVD video plyer extremely low noise nd wide dynmic rnge, there is tendency to set the volume on the mplifier higher thn necessry. Doing so my produce n excessively high output from the mplifier which cn cuse dmge to your spekers. Plese e creful in this regrd. Sudden chnges in the surrounding temperture cn cuse dew to form on the opticl pickup lens inside the unit. Under this condition the unit my e unle to operte properly. If this should occur, remove the disc nd llow the unit to djust to the surrounding temperture. When crrying the unit, e sure to remove disc which my e inside nd turn the power off. Then unplug the power cord from the AC outlet fter 10 seconds. Crrying the unit with disc inside my dmge the disc nd/or the unit. The unit is utomticlly set to the Screen Sver mode fter pproximtely 1 minutes hve elpsed under the stop or puse mode. The unit is utomticlly set to the stndy mode fter pproximtely 30 minutes hve elpsed under the complete stop mode. Press [q] (or [] on the remote control) when closing the disc try.
