6 1. PRECAUTIONS We srongly recommend insalling supplemenary naural venilaion as well as a backup hermosa on a leas one cooling sage (refer o he wiring diagram enclosed wih his user's manual o connec he hermosa). Alhough fuses a he inpu and oupus of he conroller proec is circuis in case of an overload or overvolage, we recommend insalling an addiional proecion device on he conroller's supply circui. The room emperaure where he conroller is locaed MUST ALWAYS REMAIN BETWEEN 32 F AND 14 F ( C TO 4 C). To avoid exposing he conroller o harmful gases or excessive humidiy, i is preferable o insall i in a corridor. DO NOT SPRAY WATER ON THE CONTROLLER FOR CUSTOMER USE Ener he serial number locaed on he side of he conroller below for fuure reference. Model number: Serial number: 6.rev.1

7 2. FEATURES The is an elecronic device used for environmenal conrol in livesock buildings. I allows he user o mainain a specified arge emperaure by conrolling he operaion of venilaion and heaing equipmen. Four heaer sages, 12 fan sages, 1 cooling sage, 1 sir fan sage, 1 soaking sage, 2-1V oupus, 2 air inle oupus, 1 unnel oupu and 2 clock oupus can be conrolled. Fan sages can be configured o acivae cooling sysems in imer mode. In all, he provides up o 16 on/off and 2 variable relay oupus. The main feaures of he are as follows: LCD DISPLAY An LCD display provides an efficien inerface for displaying, monioring and adjusing parameer values. MINIMUM VENTILATION CYCLE When venilaion is no required for reducing room emperaure, variable-speed oupus or on-off oupus can be operaed eiher coninuously or inermienly o reduce he level of humidiy and supply oxygen o he room. TEMPERATURE AND MINIMUM VENTILATION CURVES The conroller can be se o auomaically change he emperaure se poin and he minimum venilaion fan speed over a given period of ime in accordance wih he user's requiremens by specifying a emperaure curve and a minimum venilaion speed curve wih en differen poins each. PROBE READINGS RECORDED FOR PAST DAYS Minimum and maximum readings from emperaure and humidiy probes are recorded for he curren day and he previous 7 days. WATER MONITORING A pulse inpu is provided for monioring waer consumpion for he curren days and he previous 7 days. FEEDER AND HEATER RUN TIME MONITORING Feeder and heaer run imes are kep in memory for he curren day and for he previous 75 days. ALARM MANAGEMENT Alarms are provided for high-low emperaures, defecive probes and oher sysem funcions. Alarm saes are kep in memory unil hey are acknowledged even if alarm siuaion has been recified. HUMIDITY COMPENSATION The minimum venilaion speed can be adjused auomaically as a funcion of relaive humidiy. Cooling unis can be shu off when humidiy levels are oo.rev.1 7

8 high. In addiion, heaer oupus can be acivaed when humidiy levels are oo high. SIX INDEPENDENT TEMPERATURE PROBES INPUTS Up o six emperaure probes can be conneced o he conroller in order o obain a more accurae reading of he average room emperaure and a faser reacion ime. Probes can be configured o use zoned heaers. STATIC PRESSURE CONTROL A saic pressure inpu is provided o conrol saic pressure by opening and closing he inles. CONTROL OF AIR INLET MOVEMENT Two inle oupus used o conrol he air inle movemen are included in he. The movemen of air inles can be coordinaed wih he operaion of he fans using a poeniomeer locaed on he panel drive. This allows he air inles o be adjused correcly, wihou he influence of unconrollable facors such as wind or air from adjoining rooms. TUNNEL VENTILATION The conroller has one oupu o operae curains for unnel venilaion. TWO PROBE SETS The probe selecion for calculaing room emperaure can be changed in unnel venilaion o compensae for changes in airflow paerns ha can disor he room emperaure calculaion. PASSWORD PROTECTION A password feaure is used o resric access o he conroller seup funcions. BACKUP BATTERY A backup baery allows he uni o keep ime in case of a power failure. OVERLOAD AND OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION Reseable fuses are provided a low-volage inpus and oupus of he conroller o proec is circuiry in he case of an overload or overvolage. COMPUTER CONTROL The conroller can be conneced o a compuer, hus making i possible o cenralize he managemen of informaion and diversify conrol sraegies. TEST MODE A es mode allows you o simulae emperaure changes and verify conroller performance, as well as manually acivae each oupu sequenially. 8.rev.1

21 5.4 INLET SETTINGS The conroller adjuss he air inle opening according o venilaion sages. As he emperaure increases and new sages are acivaed, he inle is opened or closed accordingly : variaions in he room emperaure acivae or deacivae venilaion sages. The air inle posiion is direcly relaed o hese venilaion sages. A compensaion can be acivaed o ensure an uniformiy in room emperaure: air inle posiions are auomaically adjused when he reading of probes ha are associaed wih he air inle differs from he average emperaure read by he conroller. Refer o secion o assign emperaure probes o he air inle. If variable sages are used, wo inle openings mus be se: an inle opening corresponding o he beginning of he fan sage (sage on emp) and an inle opening ha will be reached when he variable fan sage reaches maximum speed. A supplemenary sage can be calibraed in order o coninue opening he air inle beyond he las emperaure conroller venilaion sage. This over-opening sage is opional. I is used o direc he airflow more efficienly during periods of warm weaher. When all he reference poins of he emperaure conroller venilaion sages have been defined, he conroller allows you o specify a emperaure bandwidh as well as a percenage of air inle opening for he over-opening sage. When he acuaor isn' moving, a minimum opening or closing percenage is necessary so ha he acuaor can sar o move. This userdefined value is called HYSTERESIS and can be adjused from 2 o 1%. The hyseresis value prevens he acuaor from moving consanly.
