5 Safety precautios Safety precautios Geeral safety istructios The equipmet operator is resposible for complyig with all regulatios applicable to storage, trasport ad hadlig. All regulatios ad provisios shall remai i full force whe operatig the equipmet with MAK uits. The uits were built i compliace with the applicable regulatios ad left the factory i perfect coditio. The uits must be istalled ad serviced by duly skilled ad qualified persoel. Make sure that the iformatio ad operatig coditios specified by the maufacturer are observed. Follow the istructios o operatig ad servicig the uits. If you otice ay damage or deterioratio o parts of the equipmet, or if safe operatio caot be guarateed for other reasos, do ot start up the equipmet or - if it is already ruig - switch it off immediately. Notify your service cetre. You should also cotact our service techicias if you otice malfuctios or defects durig operatio or if you have ay doubts as to whether the uits are workig properly. The MAK uits are ot a replacemet for the safety istallatios o the milk taker or for the safety systems put i place by the customer. Exclusio of liability BARTEC BENKE GmbH ad its agets shall oly be liable i case of premeditatio or gross egligece. The extet of liability of such cases shall be limited to the value of the order placed with BARTEC BENKE GmbH. 6 Safety precautios 1-2 Istallatio istructios Istall the uits as ecessary i order to meet the ambiet temperature specificatios. Use eclosures, heatig or coolig systems to protect them if ecessary. The istallatio locatio should be as vibratio-free as possible. Use sturdy retaiig fixtures to protect all the compoets from vibratios. The priter must be istalled i a permaetly clea ad dry locatio. The power supply to the system must be stopped durig weldig work or assisted startig o the vehicle. Take measures to keep the uits clea durig istallatio, especially the priter (e.g. protect from metal cuttigs, etc.). Do ot blak off uassiged cable glads. Remove the trasportatio lock from the priter before puttig it ito operatio. All built-i soleoid valves must be shielded from iterferece (suppressor diode). Wirig istructios The wirig must be udertake by traied professioals. The istallatio must be carried out i accordace with the relevat atioal regulatios. The uit must be wired with exclusive referece to, ad i strict compliace with, the servicig istructios. The coectio cables must be fitted i such a way as to elimiate ay saggig. A allowace of approx cm is advisable for attachmet with clips or cable ties. Extra care is eeded whe fittig the cables ear the radiator, i the egie compartmet, i parts of the truck frame ad i the delivery cabi. Uder o circumstaces should there be ay vulerable poits where the cables are kiked or susceptible to abrasio. Fit the cable eds with ferrules. Tighte the screws o o-assiged termials. Servicig ad repair istructios Servicig ad repairs must be carried out by traied professioals oly. Switch the uits off before servicig ad repair work, ad take measures to prevet them from beig switched back o while servicig ad repair work is i progress. 19 Compact Cotroller TIGER MAK Type Exchagig the motherboard/cpu board Order o.: U A The followig poits must be oted whe replacig the motherboard: The cofiguratio ca be trasferred with the Compact Flash card. The cofiguratio must first be saved o the Compact Flash card via the Service meu, the the cofiguratio ca be loaded from the CompactFlash card oto the ew motherboard. Oly if the calibratio switch is closed will the calibratio parameters ot be loaded ad will the have to be adjusted. To chage the motherboard, the display must be uplugged (flip strip at ed of ribbo cable), the termial blocks discoected, ad the wires discoected from the shield bar. The etire motherboard ca ow be uscrewed at all four corers (M6x12) ad take out. Apply heat trasfer compoud supplied with ew motherboard ad fit. If it is ecessary to remove the cover- i order, for example, to check that the ribbo cable is i the correct positio for the display - it is essetial to remove the Compact Flash card first. 24 Temperature Probe with Sesor Series B Type Assembly/istallatio Follow the istructios below for istallatio i the milk pipelie by meas of welded ipple type : Weld the ipple ito the milk pipelie, mask joits ad clea. Apply a light coatig of grease to O-rig D12.0 x 3.0 (order o. U220751) (attached to temperature probe), isert it i the welded ipple ad, usig a figertip, fit it carefully i the O-rig groove at the frot ed. Adjust ad use figertip to check that it is seated evely. Fit clamp-type flat gasket DN 20 EPDM o tip of probe ad isert probe carefully i welded ipple as far as it will go, makig slight turs to the left/right to ease it i. To do this, ope the clamp fasteers (2) o both sides ad remove the pipe coectios from the FLM. NB: Do ot lose the seals ad put them back carefully whe reassemblig. 2. First screw the threaded milk pipe adapters with the uio uts o both sides of the pipe coectios. 3. The fit the FLM (ot forgettig the flat gaskets (5)) ad secure with the clamp fasteers (2). It might be easier if the pipe supports/achors are slightly looseed first. Tighte agai at the ed. Dismoutig: 1. First take out the FLM by removig the clamp fasteers (2) o both sides.
