2 PL Wirig Power Wirig - Appropriate emergecy ry, iterlock ry ad similar safety measures should be added to the system. - Appropriate safety measures should be icluded i the system for uexpected breakig of wire or malsigal caused from istataeous power failure. - Applied voltage must be i the rage specified i the maual. Otherwise, there is a dager of breakdow ad/or ijury ad/or fire. - Istall exteral earth leakage breakers to avoid short accidet. - I case of the followig operatios, tur off power. Otherwise, there is a dager of breakdow ad/or ijury ad/or fire. Moutig or dismoutig PU ad I/O modules. Assemblig cabiet or machie icludig PL. Wirig. - Istall et filter specified i Table 1 or similar. The iput ad output cable of the et filter should be separated as much as possible. Be sure to groud the et filter. Use shielded cable for iput of et filter. - A shielded ad isulated trasformer is recommeded. - The basic ad expasio uit should be coected to commo power source ad powered up together as show i Figure 1. - Recommeds istallig a lightig arrester to prevet lightig damages. 3 Istallatio / Moutig Base uit moutig - Fix the base uit by four screws (M4, 2mm (.78i.) legth or more) or by DIN rail tightly. - To operate PL withi the rage of ambiet temperature, (1) Be sure to take eough draft space. (Top ad bottom; 5mm (1.97i.) or more, right ad left; 1mm (.39i.) or more) (2) Avoid moutig over heat geeratig devices such as heater, trasformer, ad high capacity resistor. Push the base uit ito the DIN rail till it goes click. Note) After moutig, make sure of fixig the base uit. Pull the moutig lever fixed o the DIN rail dow. Take the base off like raisig the upper part. Moutig Module (1) Moutig Hag the hook i the lower part of the module o the hole i the base uit. Push the upper part of the module till it goes click. Note 1) After moutig the module, check that the module does ot come off. Note 2) The power module is mouted o the left-most side of the base uit. Note 3) PU module ad I/O cotroller are mouted o the right side of the power module. (2) Dismoutig Push the lock butto. Pull the upper part of the module forward with pushig the lock butto. Replace the battery every two years eve whe total power failure time is less tha the guarateed value.! autio Note the followig matters for the commuicatio port. (1) Do ot coect Etheret cable to the serial port of PU module. This could cause damage the PU or coected equipmet. (2) I 1BASE-TX (1Mbps) commuicatio of Etheret, coectio could be ustable due to exteral oise depedig o cable legth, istallatio eviromet ad etc. I this case, take followig coutermeasures. 1] Icrease the umber of times to retry i coected device. 2] hage Etheret commuicatio speed to 1Mbps. (3) USB commuicatio could be ustable uder severe oise eviromet. Be sure to use short cable ad route apart from power lie or other commuicatio cables NJI-555B(X)
