(GST), t Increase the Cmpensatin and Scpe f Services fr Netwrk Server Upgrades DATE: August 10, 2015 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This Amendment will mdify the Agreement with GST fr netwrk server upgrades. RECOMMENDATION Apprve Amendment N. 1 t Agreement File N FISCAL IMPACT $24,375 fr services related t the netwrk server upgrades frm Fund 530 and Accunt N DISCUSSION On April 13, 2015, the City entered int Agreement File N. 663 with GST t prvide infrmatin technlgy (IT) supprt and cnsulting services. The City s previus IT prvider (Machad Infrmatin Technlgy, Inc., MITI ) cmmunicated a need fr new netwrk servers, and GST cnfirmed the City s verall and significant need t replace the ld servers. The City currently has several physical netwrk servers, f which seven are in need f replacement. Sme f thse are lder Dell mdels and desktps acting as servers that d nt meet the City s current and future expansin needs. The prpsed slutin is t cnslidate the seven servers int tw high capacity/perfrmance servers a primary server at City Hall fr all users and a secndary server at the Substatin t serve as a backup t the primary server. The primary server will have the adequate capacity and the ability t adjust resurces t meet the needs f all server applicatins and cnstraints. Bellflwer Municipal Cde Sectin , Jint Purchasing and Other Agency Agreements, authrizes the City s use f cmpetitive cntracts ffered thrugh ther agencies. T implement the prject, GST will perfrm migratin planning, analysis, and cnfirmatin f prcess, implementatin, parallel testing, and certain ther after-hur activities. Several system recnfiguratins and imprvements will als be made after migratin. GST expects a prject manager and tw senir engineers t spend a ttal f apprximately 195 hurs. (GST) (Infrmatin Technlgy Supprt and Cnsulting Services) This Amendment N. 1 t Agreement File N. 663 (this Amendment ) is made and entered int this 10 th day f August 2015 by and between the City f Bellflwer, a municipal crpratin ( City ), and Glden Star Technlgy, Inc. (GST), a Califrnia crpratin ( Cnsultant ). RECITALS A. City and Cnsultant (the Parties ) entered int an agreement n April 13, 2015, fr Cnsultant t prvide infrmatin technlgy (IT) supprt and cnsulting services (the Agreement ). B. The Parties desire t amend the Agreement t increase the cmpensatin and mdify the scpe f services t prvide netwrk server upgrades (the Supplemental Services ). Nw, therefre, the Parties agree as fllws: 1. The Scpe f Services shall be amended t include the Supplemental Services, as utlined in Exhibit A, attached heret and incrprated herein by this reference. 2. Maximum Payment t Cnsultant fr wrk satisfactrily perfrmed shall be increased by an amunt nt t exceed Twenty-fur Thusand Three Hundred Seventy-five Dllars ($24,375.00) fr the Supplemental Services. 3. Except as specifically prvided herein, all prvisins f the Agreement shall cntinue in full frce and effect. 4.
