8 1. The infrmatin f the Recvery Status, Acknwledgment Status, Alarm at, Recvered At and Persisted Time clumns is nt cmpletely displayed in the All Alarms page by default. Reslved Prblems in IMC PLAT 7.0 (E0102H04) 1. After custmize the clumns fr the all alarm list and select the Nte clumn, the Nte clumn is nt displayed n the alarm list. 2. Click the Reprt buttn fr a single perfrmance instance in the summary data f the perfrmance view, the reprt cannt be pened. 3. Lg in t IMC as a viewer and access the perfrmance threshld in alarm details page, privilege cntrl is nt enfrced n the threshld mdificatin functin. Reslved Prblems in IMC PLAT 7.0 (E0102L03) 1. Failed t imprt sftware frm the HP Cmware devices. 2. Failed t backup cnfiguratins frm Cisc AS5540 and AS5520, and redundant cnfiguratin files were left in the device. 3. When an interface up alarm is received frm a device, the interface status des nt becme up immediately. 4. When a large number f alarms exist, it takes a lng time t pen the Alarm Relatin Reprt. 5. When yu query the migratin suggestins f VMs by time, an errr page appears. 6. A prmpt "Cnnectin t the server discnnected. Check the cnnectin and try again" is displayed after the realtime perfrmance mnitring runs fr a while. Ignre the message and click OK. 7. Cnfiguring the interface UP/DOWN alarm filtering in batches failed. 8. The peratin lg list displays nly the dates, but it des nt display the accurate time. 9. Reslved Prblems in IMC PLAT 7.0 (E0102L01) 1. After a perfrmance instance is btained again, 1 is added t the riginal perfrmance instance name. 2. When the sftware is upgraded fr a Cisc device, the files in the same flash as the sftware image might be deleted. 3. When the sftware is upgraded fr a Cisc device, the files in the same flash as the sftware image might be deleted.

9 4. Clicking the right menu in device details is invalid if ging int the device details page frm the faulty devices page. 5. When yu add r delete an ESX server n a vcenter server, r an ESX server hardware changes, the links between vswitches and ESX servers in VNM Tplgy disappear. T slve this prblem, delete the vcenter server, add it t IMC again, and manually synchrnize ESX servers. 3. In VNM, if yu click Refresh n the virtual machine perfrmance mnitring page, the perfrmance mnitring data fr the virtual machine cannt be retrieved. 4. Fr Prcurve 2520 and 4204vl, sftware upgrade via SFTP fails. 5. Fix rt alarm calculatin errrs. 6. In a nn-english perating system, n peratin result appears after yu use the DBMAN t back up r restre the database. Reslved Prblems in IMC PLAT 5.2 (E0401H07) 1. The SR6602-X1 device panel des nt include any cards. 2. When the system includes mre than 100 custm scheduled reprts, the page is lading very slwly after the peratr clicks Add My Scheduled Reprt n the My Reprts page. 3. 3Cm VIP Media Gateway series devices reprt alarms fr duplicate devices. Reslved Prblems in IMC PLAT 5.2 (E0401L06) 1. If yu use IMC platfrm versin 5.2 and add mre than 30 categries f devices t the platfrm, the OutOfMemry errr ccurs t the jserver prcess after yu lg in t IMC. Reslved Prblems in IMC PLAT 5.2 (E0401P05) 1. An errr might appear if yu click Add t add new trap definitins immediately after a delete peratin. 2. When the current sftware f a Cisc device has flders, yu might fail t specify the main next-startup sftware fr the device. 3. The Save File fr parameter in the Data Exprt Settings des nt take effect. Files that that are saved lnger than the specified days are nt deleted. 4. If an IMC SSH username cntains a backward slash (\), the backward slash will disappear during the prcess f lgging int a device.

10 5. When yu lg in t a PrCurve device at the CLI, if the device des nt require yu t press Enter fr displaying the username prmpt, IMC will fail t back up the cnfiguratin f the device. Reslved Prblems in IMC PLAT 5.2 (E0401H04) 1. ZDI-CAN-1645: IMC uses the DES algrithm in ECB mde and static key t stre sensitive data. Reslved Prblems in IMC PLAT 5.2 (E0401H03) 1. Stp and restart all service mnitring instances, and then view the service mnitr view. The system displays that n mnitr device exists. Reslved Prblems in IMC PLAT 5.2 (E0401H02) 1. On the page displaying all alarms, after yu recver r acknwledge alarms, the set alarm level cnditins will be cleared, and alarms f all levels are displayed. 2. When yu enable the real-time mnitring feature and enable real-time mnitring in the display tiling feature, memry leak will ccur t real-time mnitring. 3. If yu have add r delete hsts in the vsphere client, after a plling interval r after the vcenter is manually synchrnized in IMC, the link between the DVS symbl in the virtual netwrk tplgy and its mirrring DVS symbl in the hst is lst. 4. When yu use the IMC perfrmance manager t mnitr the virtual machine perfrmance data in the KVM hst, yu will fail t get the perfrmance data f the virtual machine. 5. On the virtual machine attribute editing dialg bx f the vsphere client, select the netwrk which the virtual machine will access. If the access netwrk switches between the vswitch and the dvswitch multiple times, the virtual machine might fail t cnnect t the vswitch in the virtual netwrk tplgy. 6. When yu use the IMC virtual netwrk manager t migrate the virtual machines in the KVM hst, the system smetimes prmpts that the virtual machine migratin fails fr the reasn "An errr ccurred, but the cause is unknwn."

11 7. In the LLDP-MED tplgy f a switch, the icn f an IP phne is displayed as that f a wrkstatin by mistake. 8. When yu enable inter-ruting interface link calculatin fr Layer 2 tplgy, the prcessing result is ppsite t the value set n the interface. 9. If there are multiple child grups with the same name in user grups, when yu imprt users, yu cannt select child grups with the same name in different parent grups. 10. Installing and Upgrading IMC T install IMC n Windws Server 2008, Windws Server 2008 R2 r Windws Server 2012, first mdify the user accunt cntrl settings: 1. Open the Cntrl Panel frm the Start menu and click System and Security. 2. In the Actin Center, click the Change User Accunt Cntrl Settings link. 3. In distributed deplyment mde, stp the Deplyment Mnitring Agent n the master server and restart the Deplyment Mnitring Agent n every subrdinate server. Click Yes in the ppup message dialg bx t upgrade cmmn cmpnents n every subrdinate server. 9. The Deplyment Mnitring Agent displays all cmpnents that need t be upgraded. Click OK t start upgrading. 10. In distributed deplyment mde, upgrade all cmpnents deplyed n every subrdinate server. 11. After all cmpnents are updated, start all prcesses in the Deplyment Mnitring Agent. Fr mre infrmatin abut installatin and upgrade prcedures, see IMC Getting Started Guide and IMC Installatin Guide. Imprtant: 1. Befre yu upgrade the IMC Platfrm, dwnlad upgrade packages fr all deplyed service cmpnents frm HP's website. If an upgrade package is nt available fr a service cmpnent, HP recmmends nt upgrading the IMC Platfrm, r yu can remve the service cmpnent befre upgrading the IMC Platfrm. When the service cmpnent is remved, its data is lst. 2. If the Deplyment Mnitring Agent displays a list f cmpnents incmpatible with the new versin f the IMC Platfrm, yu must dwnlad upgrade packages fr these cmpnents befre yu can cntinue the upgrade prcess. 3. All service cmpnents must use v7.0 r higher t wrk with IMC PLAT 7.0. After the IMC Platfrm is upgraded, upgrade the deplyed service cmpnents, such as WSM, UAM, EAD, NTA/UBA, APM, and SOM. Make sure the versin f service cmpnents matches the IMC Platfrm versin. Otherwise, IMC might nt be started. Fr the cmpatibility matrix, see readme files f the service cmpnents. 4. If yu receive the message "Upgrade JVM failed..." during the upgrade prcess, delete the flder in the \cmmn\jre directry f the IMC installatin path and cntinue t upgrade. 5. Fr data integrity, HP recmmends backing up database n the Envirnment tab f the Deplyment Mnitring Agent, and cpying the IMC installatin directry t a secure lcatin after the upgrade. Remving IMC

16 T remve IMC n Windws, run the uninstallatin wizard by selecting All Prgrams > Intelligent Management Center > Uninstall IMC frm the Start menu, r yu can remve the Intelligent Management Center in the Add r Remve Prgrams windw f the Cntrl Panel. T remve IMC n Linux, enter the deply directry f the IMC installatin path by using the cd cmmand, and then execute uninstall.sh. IMC is typically installed in the /pt/imc directry. Fllw the directins in the uninstallatin wizard, and manually delete all files in the IMC directry when the prcess is cmplete. Running the Deplyment Mnitring Agent The Deplyment Mnitring Agent is a GUI prgram t manage the deplyment f the IMC mdules and mnitr the perfrmance and the state f prcesses f the IMC server. After the installatin finished, the Deplyment Mnitring Agent is autmatically started t guide the user thrugh deplyment. On Windws, run the Deplyment Mnitring Agent by selecting All Prgrams > Intelligent Management Center > Deplyment Mnitring Agent frm the Start menu. On Linux, run the Deplyment Mnitring Agent by executing dma.sh in the deply directry f the IMC installatin path. If Deplyment Mnitring Agent cannt start, make sure the HP IMC Server service is running. This service is autmatically started alng with the OS and runs as a daemn/backgrund prcess. On Windws, yu can start the service in Windws Services. On Linux, yu can start the service with the service imcdmsd start cmmand. IMC must be started frm the Deplyment Mnitring Agent. Starting IMC T start IMC, click Start IMC n the Mnitr tab f the Deplyment Mnitring Agent.

17 Lgging in t IMC thrugh a Web Brwser Once the server is running, yu can access the IMC user interface using a Web brwser. Enter the fllwing address in the Address Bar f a brwser: Where hstname is the hst name r IP address f the IMC server (the default is lcalhst if yu launch the Web brwser n the IMC server machine), and prt is the Web server prt (the default is 8080) used by IMC. Yu can als access the IMC user interface with Web brwser thrugh HTTPS. Enter the fllwing address in the address bar f a brwser: Where hstname is the hst name r IP address f the IMC server (the default is lcalhst if yu launch the Web brwser n the IMC server machine), and prt is the Web server prt fr HTTPS (the default is 8443) used by IMC. When the IMC lgin page appears, use the username "admin" and passwrd "admin" t lg int IMC. Refer t the IMC Online Help fr details n hw t add peratrs, and add yur devices t IMC. The default security level in the IE prperties is High. If yu try t lg in t IMC with this default, the system will prmpt "Cntent frm the Web site listed belw is being blcked by the Internet Explrer Enhanced Security Cnfiguratin." Click Add t add the IMC website t the trusted sites. If yu d nt add the IMC website t the trusted sites and determine nt t display the prmpt any mre, yu may fail t lg in t IMC. T slve the prblem, use either f the fllwing methds: 1. Set the security level t Medium. Start IE and select Tls > Internet Optins. Select the Security tab, and then click Custm Level. In the ppup dialg bx, set the security level t Medium. 2. Add the website f the IMC server t the trusted sites. Start IE and select Tls > Internet Optins. Select the Security tab, Select Trusted sites, and the click Sites. Add the website f the IMC server in the ppup dialg bx. On yur first access t Resurce > Netwrk Tplgy, the brwser prmpts "The applicatin's digital signature cannt be verified. D yu want t run the applicatin?" Belw the prmpt are the name "tp", and the publisher "IMC Develpment Team". Select the "Always trust cntent frm this publisher" checkbx, and click Run.

18 Nte: In centralized deplyment, when the "User Access Manager - User SelfService" cmpnent is deplyed, yu will enter the Self-Service lgin page rather than the IMC lgin page if yu enter in the address bar. Mnitring the Server On the Mnitr tab f the Deplyment Mnitring Agent, yu can see the Disk Usage, CPU Usage, and Physical Memry Usage f the IMC server. On the Prcess tab f the Deplyment Mnitring Agent, yu can see all IMC prcesses and their running status. On the Envirnment tab f the Deplyment Mnitring Agent, yu can see the OS infrmatin and database usage. Yu can see the mnitring data f the IMC server nly when IMC is started. Fr infrmatin abut starting IMC, see "Starting IMC". Distributed Deplyment The IMC cmpnents can be installed n mre than ne server t meet specific perfrmance requirements. A distributed IMC system typically has ne master server with IMC Platfrm deplyed and multiple subrdinate servers with service cmpnents deplyed. T install IMC n a subrdinate server, execute the installslave.bat file n Windws (r installslave.sh n Linux) by either duble-clicking the file r running the cmmand in the flder where installslave.bat (r installslave.sh) is lcated. If the system installed with IMC has insufficient memry, java verflw might ccur. T prevent this issue, install IMC in a 64-bit OS with sufficient memry. Other Prblems If the system is busy, the prgress bar may be shwn fr a lng time when yu perfrm an peratin. IMC des nt supprt the PE features f Cmware V3 devices. Cnfiguratin Center des nt supprt the sftware upgrade f IRF devices thrugh SSH/SFTP. Cnfiguratin Center des nt supprt the sftware upgrade f ld IRF2 devices r a device with dual main bards. If yu cnfigure a link aggregatin acrss different units f IRF/IRF2 devices, the layer 2 tplgy cannt display the links because the master device cannt cllect cmplete infrmatin abut links f the subrdinate members. Ensure yu cnfigure link aggregatins nly n the master device. When yu view the check result f a cmpliance check task, the system might display "D yu want t abrt the script?" if the check result cntains t many devices and plicies. Click N t cntinue the peratin. The device lcatins might change n the Ggle map tplgy in windws f different sizes r in full screen with different reslutins. Fail t add the Syslg filter rule when there are mre than 20 devices in this filter rule. Discntinue mnitring the VM perfrmance indices when the VM migrated t ther hypervisr. If the device mdel is nt crrect fr a third-party device, select System > Device Mdel t edit the setting. In an SNMP packet, the SNMP variables f the visible string type, the encding mde must be GBK r ASCII.
