Hyper-V Snapsht size and snapsht age alarms are triggered fr VMs with differencing disks. Memry usage widget shws memry available cunter n the summary f the Hyper-V hsts. Ntificatins Veeam ONE server sends ntificatins fr reslved warning alarms, ignring the cnfigured plicy t ntify abut errrs nly. 6 Reprting Engine Mnthly reprt scheduling set fr the last day des n wrk. All URL triggered perfrmance reprts that have past interval as a predefined parameter display wrng reprting interval. Saved perfrmance reprts using past time reprting intervals are triggered with "Date Frm" - "Date T" parameter. VMs with lw CPU Ready metric are ignred in the Undersized VMs reprt. Object Categrizatin Gruping expressins with nested expressins using IndexOf, <, > and ther peratrs cannt be prcessed. Knwn Issues Veeam ONE 7.0 R2 Update The fllwing is a list f issues knwn t exist at the time f the Veeam ONE 7.0 R2 Update: Reprter Reprts generated via direct links are nt displayed in Internet Explrer 11. VM Uptime reprt shws n data fr histrical time intervals after the upgrade t Veeam ONE v7 R2. This is caused by the switch t the new VM uptime mnitr that imprves reprt accuracy. Mnitr Hst disk alarms are reset t default threshlds after the upgrade. 7 Knwn Issues Veeam ONE 7.0 The fllwing is a list f issues knwn t exist at the time f the Veeam ONE 7.0 release: General If yu use accunts with the same names (frm different dmains) t run the Veeam ONE Reprter service and t access the Veeam ONE Reprter web UI, ne f the accunts may get lcked due t Windws security implementatin. Read-nly and CIM interactin permissin n the entire vcenter Server is required fr Veeam ONE Reprter and Veeam ONE Business View. Otherwise, crrespnding cllectin jbs will fail. Mnitring General The Veeam ONE Mnitr service accunt requires lcal admin rights n the machine where Veeam ONE Server is installed. When a Hyper-V bject ID is changed (e.g. Hyper-V Live Migratin), this bject will be treated as new bject, while the previus entry will be marked as deleted. VMware Free disk space graphs will cntain gaps fr all time perids when Veeam ONE service was nt wrking. This happens because histrical data is nt preserved fr this metric by vcenter Server r ESX(i) hsts. Perfrmance graphs that rely n real-time data will cntain gaps if Veeam ONE service was stpped fr mre than 1 hur. When the same LUN is shared by multiple datastres, the disk I/O graph will shw activity fr the LUN n the whle, rather than fr a specific datastre. NFS datastre mnitring is available fr vsphere 4.1 r later due t VMware limitatin. Hyper-V Perfrmance graphs will cntain gaps if Veeam ONE service was stpped fr any perid f time. This happens because histrical data is nt preserved by Hyper-V hsts. Perfrmance data is nt cllected fr pass-thrugh disks. Infrmatin abut capacity and free space is nt cllected fr SMB shares that d nt reside n cluster shared vlumes. Cnnectin t SCVMM server may fail if tw versins f SCVMM Admin cnsle (2008/2012) are installed n the Veeam ONE Server machine. Veeam Backup & Replicatin Backup reprts might cntain invalid data if Veeam ONE infrastructure tplgy view des nt match Veeam Backup & Replicatin infrastructure tplgy view. Backup prxy summary tabs in the Mnitr Client will be ppulated with data nly after upgrade f Veeam Backup & Replicatin t 6.5 r t 7.0. Histrical data fr Veeam Backup & Replicatin prxies is nt cllected. Sme data in backup reprts, dashbard and backup perfrmance views might be missing fr Veeam Backup & Replicatin 6.5 servers. 8 Reprting Creating a Visi reprt fr a large number f VMs may take a significant amunt f time if yu use Visi T wrk arund this, create a reprt n a smaller subset f VMs. The VMware Idle Templates reprt can nly be generated fr vsphere 5 r later. Objects that cannt be accessed by a subsequent cllectin jb will be treated as deleted in the Infrastructure Changes reprt. Sme hyperlinks inside SSRS reprts may expire after minutes due t SSRS implementatin specifics. Exprted SSRS reprts have embedded hyperlinks disabled. This is dne by SSRS exprt functinality design. Srting des nt wrk fr SSRS custm infrastructure reprt when yu use gruping. Special symbls are nt supprted in the script parameters fr reprting jbs. Large reprt files may nt be delivered prperly because the server is unable t prcess large attachments crrectly. If this happens, the attachment will be truncated t 64 bytes. T wrk arund this issue, either adjust server settings, r cnfigure the reprting jb t save reprts t a shared flder. If yu use Micrsft Internet Explrer (IE), the Cntinue t prmpt when website cntent is blcked checkbx in the IE errr dialg must be cleared t enable access t the Veeam ONE Reprter r Veeam ONE Business View web UI. Reprting jbs with reprts frm the Offline pack may fail with the fllwing message: Cannt send s with attachments larger than 3MB. Please refer t Micrsft KB fr the reslutin. Perfrmance reprts that are generated via URL links may display wrng reprting intervals. T wrkarund this, generate reprts using Veeam ONE web interface manually, r schedule reprts delivery via . Display intranet sites in cmpatibility view checkbx shuld be disabled t access Veeam ONE web interface. Business View Grids in the Business View web UI d nt crrectly display names and descriptins f bjects when thse fields include the < r > symbl. Existing custm attributes can be re-used nly fr the virtual infrastructure bject categrizatin t which they relate. Cllectin and update f native SCVMM 2008R2/2012 custm attributes is nt supprted. Object categrizatin is nly pssible within Veeam ONE database. Veeam ONE database and Veeam ONE Business View website shuld be in the same time zne. Glbalizatin Duble-byte lcalized perating systems are nt currently supprted. 9 Upgrade Rules fr predefined event-based alarms are reset t defaults after the upgrade. Fr all Hyper-V VMs n the Wrkspace tab f the Veeam ONE Business View cmpnent, memry cnfiguratin is reprted as zer. T reslve this, re-run the cnfigured Business View cllectin jb. In the case f using SQL Server Reprting Services (SSRS) as the reprting engine, reprting jbs fr sme f the predefined reprts (fr example VMware Oversized Virtual Machines, VMware Active Snapshts and VMware Idle VMs ) may fail with the fllwing errr: Unable t cnnect t the Micrsft Reprting Services server. T reslve this, re-create and reschedule these reprts. After upgrade frm versin 6.0, the fllwing widgets are remved frm custm dashbards: Hyper-V Tp N Lcal Datastres Latency, Hyper-V Tp N CSV IOPs, Hyper-V Tp N CSVs Bytes Per Sec, VMware Tp N Datastre Latency. T reslve this, add new predefined widgets cntaining the same infrmatin t these dashbards. After upgrade frm versin 6.0, the parameter Interval perid fr the Idle Virtual Machines reprt will nt be set. 10 Installing Veeam ONE Refer t Veeam ONE Deplyment guide fr mre infrmatin: Uninstalling Veeam ONE 1. Frm the Start menu, select Cntrl Panel > Add r Remve Prgrams. 2. In the prgrams list, select Veeam ONE and click the Remve buttn. Upgrade Befre yu upgrade, be sure t perfrm a backup f the crrespnding SQL database fr Veeam ONE, s that yu can easily g back t previus versin in case f issues with upgrade. T perfrm upgrade f Veeam ONE t versin 7.0, yu must be running versin 6.0 r 6.5. Upgrade frm earlier versins f Veeam ONE is nt supprted. 11 Licensing Veeam Backup is licensed per CPU Scket ("CPU Sckets") fr each Managed Server. Fr mre infrmatin, see Veeam ONE license des nt put any restrictins n the number f managed Veeam Backup & Replicatin servers. There are tw versins f Veeam ONE: free and full versin with cmplete functinality. T use either f them, yu will need t prvide a crrespnding license file. The type f license file yu enter determines which versin yu will be using. The prduct defaults t the free versin if yu d nt prvide a license during installatin. The free versin will wrk fr 90 days and then requests that yu install a license file t be able t cntinue using Veeam ONE. T btain the license file, lg n t yur persnal Veeam accunt and navigate t the Licensing sectin (alternatively, use the fllwing direct link: The link t this sectin is als included in the yu prvided when dwnlading the Veeam ONE setup package. Free vs. Full Versin Cmparisn The free versin has sme functinality limitatins as cmpared t the full Veeam ONE versin. Fr a detailed cmparisn, check Updating License If yu want t replace yur license r upgrade the Veeam ONE license t accmmdate fr recent hardware changes/increased CPU sckets cunt, yu can d this thrugh a crrespnding menu f Veeam ONE Mnitr. In Veeam ONE Mnitr: click Help, and select License Infrmatin. The License Infrmatin windw will pen. T install a new license, click the Install License buttn and brwse t the flder where a valid Veeam ONE license is lcated. The license file yu prvide will be prpagated t all Veeam ONE cmpnents.
