2 The SH-10 laser safety shutter cnsists f a blade munted n a rtary slenid with a limited rtatin angle. When the shutter is pwered, the blade mves t an "ON" psitin and clears the path fr a laser beam. When the pwer is turned ff, the return spring f the shutter mves the blade t an "OFF" psitin and blcks the laser beam. The standard blade material is 0.01" thick andized aluminum. T meet laser specificatins and fr uses like plasma r X-ray ther materials and thickness are used. 2 THE SHUTTER IS IN THE "CLOSE" POSITION WHEN THERE IS NO CURRENT. SPECIFICATIONS fr the standard SH-10 laser safety shutter: APERTURE SIZE: 0.5 inch dia; 0.42 inch dia fr the bxed versin. POWER REQUIREMENTS: Fr the 5V laser safety shutter: 5V dc, 700 ma. When the blade is in the "CLOSE" psitin ne f the magnetic switches is nrmally clsed and the ther is nrmally pen. When the blade mves t the "OPEN" psitin the nrmally clsed switch becmes nrmally pen and the nrmally pen becmes nrmally clsed. A three pin MOLEX cnnectr (P/N ) is used fr the utput f the psitin indicatr. THE SH-10-PI WITH THE DSH-10 DRIVER The SH-10-PI IN THE "CLOSE" POSITION Damage threshld: The standard blade is 0.01 inch thick black andized aluminum, which withstands 100 mw/mm² with a limit f 2 W f ttal pwer. We als ffer slutins that meet laser specificatins, different wavelengths and mre pwerful laser beams. Yu need t cllect the energy int an energy dump 4 DRIVERS AND WAYS TO ACTIVATE THE LASER SAFETY SHUTTERS: Yu can activate the laser safety shutter by applying the apprpriate vltage: 5V t the SH-10-5, 12V r 15V t the SH and 24V t the SH We can supply yu with schematics t build yur wn driver. When rdering a shutter withut a driver, please indicate ne f the perating vltages: 5V, 12V r 15V, r 24V. The DSH-10 DRIVER perates the SH-10 Laser Safety Shutter. The DSH-10 driver includes a three psitin cntrl switch. In the "OPEN" psitin, the shutter is cntinuusly pen. In the middle psitin, the shutter is cntinuusly clsed. In the "TTL" psitin, an external TTL signal cntrls the shutter. A high r pen circuit at the TTL input sets the shutter in the clsed psitin. A lw r shrt t grund at the TTL signal sets the shutter in the pen psitin. The fllwing driver mdels that enable the user t cntrl the shutter with a TTL signal are available: DSH r DSH , a cased driver 5.3" x 5.3" x 2" perating frm a line vltage f 110Vac r 220Vac (please specify DSH r DSH ). DSH /220, a cased driver 5.3" x 5.3" x 2" with a selectr switch fr perating frm a line vltage f 110Vac r 220Vac. DSH-10-5-PC, this is a PC bard level driver fr the SH-10-5 shutter that needs 5Vdc and 12Vdc (200mA).
