3 INSTALLATION STEPS T install the EBC-2102/2102W chassis, the fllwing installatin steps must be cmpleted: STEP 3: DISK DRIVE INSTALLATION The EBC-2102/2102W chassis has the capacity fr ne 2.5 internal HDD. T install the HDD, please fllw the steps belw. Unpack the chassis. Remve the fur HDD bracket retentin screws. Remve the tp cver. Install the internal 2.5 HDD. Install the system fan. (ptinal) Install the Wi-Fi mdule. (ptinal) Step 6: Install the SBC (Single Bard Cmputer). Step 7: Cnnect the cables. Step 8: Reinstall the tp cver. Step 9: Install a SO-DIMM. Step 10: Munt the chassis. (ptinal) The installatin steps utlined abve are described in detail belw. Please refer t the relevant sectin. STEP 1: UNPACK The EBC-2102/2102W is shipped in a plastic bag that is placed inside a cardbard bx. The items are als shipped with the chassis. When unpacking the chassis please: Make sure all the items listed in the PACKING LIST sectin are present. Make sure the chassis has nt been damaged in any way. Figure 3: HDD Bracket Retentin Screws Lift the HDD bracket ut f the chassis and put it n a flat surface. Attach the HDD t the HDD bracket. Secure the HDD with the HDD bracket by fur retentin screws (Figure 4). STEP 2: REMOVE THE TOP COVER The tp cver is secured t the chassis with eight retentin screws. T remve the tp cver, fllw the steps belw. Remve the eight tp cver retentin screws n the chassis. Figure 4: HDD Installatin Figure 2: Tp Cver Retentin Screws Lift the cver up gently. Step 6: Cnnect the SATA cable t the rear f the HDD (Figure 4). Install the HDD and the bracket int the chassis with fur previusly remved retentin screws. Once the mtherbard is installed t the chassis, crrectly cnnect the SATA signal and pwer cables t the mtherbard. Please refer t the user manual that came with the mtherbard fr the cnnectr lcatins. 4 STEP 4: SYSTEM FAN INSTALLATION (OPTIONAL) T install the ptinal system fan, please fllw the steps belw. Attach the system fan t the chassis, aligning the retentin screw hles n the system fan with the retentin screw hles n the chassis (Figure 5). Figure 7: Wi-Fi Mdule Installatin Cnnect the Wi-Fi antenna cable frm the chassis t the Wi-Fi mdule. Figure 5: System Fan Installatin Secure the system fan t the chassis by fur retentin screws (Figure 6). Figure 8: Wi-Fi Antenna Cable Cnnectin Figure 6: System Fan Retentin Screws Once the mtherbard is installed t the chassis, cnnect the system fan cable t the system fan cnnectr n the mtherbard. Please refer t the user manual that came with the mtherbard fr the cnnectr lcatin. STEP 5: WI-FI MODULE INSTALLATION (OPTIONAL) T install the ptinal Wi-Fi mdule, please fllw the steps belw. STEP 6: MOTHERBOARD INSTALLATION T install a NANO-PV series mtherbard, please fllw the instructins belw: Place the mtherbard inside the chassis. Make sure the external peripheral interface cnnectrs fit int the predrilled hles n the rear f the chassis. Align the fur retentin screw hles n the mtherbard with the retentin screw hles n the bttm f the chassis. Install the mtherbard t the chassis with fur retentin screws. Turn the mtherbard ver. Lcate the PCIe Mini card scket. Insert the Wi-Fi mdule int the PCIe Mini scket at an angle. T d this, line up the ntch n the Wi-Fi mdule with the ntch n the cnnectr. Slide the Wi-Fi mdule int the scket at an angle f abut 20º. Push dwn until the card clips int place. Push the ther end f the card dwn until it clips int place n the plastic cnnectr. 5 STEP 7: CABLING There are pwer buttn with LED and prts n the frnt panel and rear panel f the EBC-2102/2102W chassis. They are: Gently push dwnwards and the arms clip int place. 1 x Pwer buttn with LED 1 x 12 V DC pwer input jack 1 x Parallel prt cnnectr 3 x Audi jacks (line-in, line-ut, mic-in) 4 x USB prts 3 x RS-232 serial prts (DB-9) These cmpnents are all cnnected t the mtherbard with cables. T crrectly cnnect these cables, please refer t the user manual that came with the mtherbard. The chassis cables and the crrespnding n-bard cnnectrs are listed belw. STEP 9: WALL-MOUNT PLATES INSTALLATION Tw wall-munt plates are shipped with the EBC-2102/2102W chassis. The wall-munt plates are installed n the sides, at the bttm f the chassis. Each plate is secured t the chassis by tw retentin screws. T install the wall-munt plates, please fllw the steps belw. Align the retentin screw hles in the wall-munt plate with the retentin screw hles n the side f the chassis. Table 2: Cables and Cnnectrs Insert tw retentin screws fr each wall-munt plate. STEP 8: SO-DIMM INSTALLATION T install the SO-DIMM, please fllw the steps belw. Lcate the SO-DIMM access panel n the bttm f the chassis. Remve the retentin screw and remve the panel.
