1 EBC-3620 Mini-ITX Chassis Versin:.0 Quick Installatin Guide ABOUT THE EBC-3620 The EBC-3620 is designed fr Mini-ITX mtherbards. The EBC-3620 has tw USB prts n the frnt panel, and a space fr a slim-type DVD r CD drive. Up t fur drives can be installed. The EBC-3620 als supprts PCI/PCIe cards (depending n the mtherbard) thrugh expansin card slts n the rear panel. 3 INSTALLATION STEPS T install the EBC-3620 chassis, the fllwing installatin steps must be cmpleted: Step 5: Step 6: Step 7: Step 8: Step 9: Unpack Tp cver and Supprt Bracket Remval Install Mtherbard Install Optical Drive Install Hard Drives (Main Bracket) Install Hard Drive (Bttm Bracket) Install Expansin Card Frnt Panel Cables Cver Reinstallatin The installatin steps utlined abve are described in detail belw. Please refer t the relevant sectin. STEP : UNPACK The EBC-3620 is shipped in a plastic bag that is placed inside a cardbard bx. The accessries are als shipped with the chassis. When unpacking the chassis: Make sure all the accessries and cmpnents mentined in the PACKING LIST sectin are present. Make sure the chassis has nt been damaged in any way. STEP 2: TOP COVER AND SUPPORT BRACKET REMOVAL The tp cver is secured t the chassis with six retentin screws, three n each side f the chassis. T remve the tp cver, please fllw the steps belw. Pull up the supprt bracket t remve it.step 0: STEP 3: INSTALL MOTHERBOARD The mtherbard is installed befre all the ther cmpnents in the chassis. T install the mtherbard, fllw the steps belw. Und the ptical disk drive screws and remve the ptical disk drive bracket. Figure 4: Optical Drive Bracket Screws Place the mtherbard int the chassis and fasten the fur mtherbard screws. Remve the internal supprt bracket retentin screw. Attach the fllwing cables t the mtherbard: Pwer cable Fan cable USB cables Frnt panel cables Pwer buttn cable Reset buttn cable Pwer LED cable Hard drive activity LED cable Figure 3: Supprt Bracket Screw EBC-3620 IEI Technlgy Crp. 4 Attach the ptical drive screws and tighten. Figure 8: Optical Drive Screws If installing a hard drive, the hard drive installs n the tp side f the ptical drive bracket. Cnnectrs face twards the inside f the chassis The screws attach underneath. Figure 6: Optical Drive Bracket Screws STEP 4: Reinstall the ptical drive bracket and fasten the screws. Als attach the hard drive cables Step 0: INSTALL OPTICAL DRIVE The ptical drive bracket supprts either a slim-type ptical drive r 2.5 hard disk. T install the ptical drive r hard disk, please fllw the steps belw. Slide the ptical drive int the ptical drive bracket. Slide the ptical drive frm the frnt f the bracket. Figure 9: Hard Drive Screws If installing an ptical drive in the ptical drive bracket, break the metal plates (indicated belw) frm the case. Bend back and frth until they break ff. 5 Step 5: Reinstall the ptical drive bracket and fasten the screws. Als attach the hard drive cables Step 0: Install the hard drives and fasten all the hard drive screws. Figure : Fasten Optical Drive Screws STEP 5: INSTALL HARD DRIVES (MAIN BRACKET) T install hard drives in the main hard drive bracket, fllw the instructins belw. Und the hard drive bracket screws indicated belw. Figure 3: Hard Drive Screws Attach the cables t the hard drives. Figure 2: Hard Drive Bracket Screws Remve the hard drive bracket frm the chassis. 6 STEP 6: INSTALL HARD DRIVE (BOTTOM BRACKET) T install a hard drive int the hard drive bracket n the bttm f the chassis, please fllw the instructins belw. Unfasten the single hard drive bracket screw. Slide the hard drive bracket twards the frnt f the chassis t remve. STEP 7: previusly remved screw. Step 0: INSTALL EXPANSION CARD The EBC-3620 supprts up t tw expansin cards. T install the expansin cards, please fllw the instructins belw. Und the expansin slt cver screw. Pull it ut in the directin shwn. Figure 7: Expansin Card Slt Cver Figure 5: Install Install a hard drive in the hard drive bracket and fasten the screws indicated belw. Secure the pwer supply bracket t the pwer supply and then secure the pwer supply bracket t the system panel. Figure 8: Expansin Card Installatin Attach the riser card t the PCI card. Press the riser card int the expansin slt. T crrectly cnnect these cables, please refer t the technical dcumentatin that came with yur CPU card. The cnnectrs that are prvided with the chassis are listed belw. N. 2 Name USB cable STEP 9: Table 4: USB Cable Pinuts COVER REINSTALLATION Cver reinstallatin is in the reverse rder f remval. Psitin the internal supprt bracket and fasten the screw. Reinstall cver and fasten the tw screws. Step 0: CHASSIS MAINTENANCE FAN REPLACEMENT NOTE: Please ensure that the pwer f the cmputer is switched ff befre fan replacement prcedure. There are tw cling fans inside the EBC-3620 chassis. T replace them, please fllw the instructins belw. Open the chassis (refer t Figure 2) EBC-3620 IEI Technlgy Crp. Page 7
