It als supprts upgrading frm Scpia Management versin (8.3 FP1) and (8.3.2 Beta). T upgrade frm Scpia Management, fllw these steps: Step 1: Back up Scpia Management as described in the Backup and Restre Prcedures chapter f the Installatin Guide fr Avaya Scpia Management. Step 2: Step 3: Review the Knwn Issues sectin in this dcument. Run the executable installatin files. Imprtant Fr upgrading frm Scpia Management versin 8.3 FP1 with internal database (PstgreSQL) and redundancy case, upgrade the slave server first. After upgrading the slave server, lgin Scpia Management Dashbard t check the database replicatin status (in the redundancy ppup windw), if the replicatin status is nt replicating (fr example, Waiting r Syncing ), it means the database is nt fully ready, then wait fr a few minutes until the replicatin status is replicating, and then upgrade the master server. D nt upgrade the master server first r upgrade tw servers at the same time. 7 default settings: ECS username and passwrd. SNMP Service Cmmunity parameters. T access these parameters in Windws Server 2008/2012, g t Start > Settings > Cntrl Panel > Administrative Tls > Services > SNMP Service. Right click Prperties and select the Security tab. ECS Deplyment Tips When using Alternate ECS, bth the main and alternate ECS servers must be cnnected n the same physical netwrk segment (n same leg f the ruter). When prefix stripping is disabled, endpints can register with the ECS by using nly a number that begins with the zne prefix. When predefining an endpint in ECS, new services are allwed by default. T decline an endpint t use a service, yu must decline the service in the Predefined Endpint Prperties dialg bx in the Endpints tab. The search functin in the Endpints tab is casesensitive. T hide the Prduct Family Entry Pint interface when accessing ECS, mdify the hmepage line in the webs.ini file frm admin/net/default.asp t admin/gk/default.asp. frwarding/fallback rules are casesensitive. Verify that the latest Java applet versin is installed in the client accessing the ECS. Descriptin f issue Users with Japanese & Krean characters in their lgin IDs cannt lgin t Scpia Management. When wrking with Internet Explrer 10 r 11, we recmmend adding the Scpia Management URL as well as the Ggle Maps URLs as trusted sites. Refer t tpic#trusted fr detailed instructins. When a meeting has mre than 300 participants, we recmmend using a PC with a strng PC (Memry is 4 G r higher and the CPU pass mark shuld be higher than 6000) t perate the inmeeting cntrl. The Scpia TIP Gateway r Scpia Gateway fr Micrsft Lync services prefix must nt cnflict with the MCU service prefix. Scpia Management des nt detect this cnflict. Fr a deplyment with an external database, Scpia Management des nt autmatically backup the database, s the administratr must backup the database manually when creating a backup pint. Yu cannt mve a participant frm ne meeting t anther fr the fllwing endpints: Telepresence endpints Scpia Desktp clients Lync clients Scpia Management versin 8.3 Outlk Addin has the fllwing limitatins: The Addin des nt supprt Outlk The Outlk Addin has dependencies n the fllwing cmpnents: Windws installer 3.1 r higher. Micrsft.Net framewrk 4.0 r higher. Micrsft Visual Studi 2010 Tls fr Office Runtime. Nte: The Micrsft.Net framewrk and Micrsft ffice 2010 runtime tl can be dwnladed and installed autmatically when install utlk addin. If the utlk addin culdn t wrk after install, it usually caused by security restrictin r antivirus sftware n yur system that prevented the setup prgram frm dwnlading the required prgrams frm the Micrsft website. The wrkarund is t dwnlad and install them manually. Windws Installer 3.1: Framewrk 4.5: Virtual studi 2010 tls: Installing a redundant deplyment n the Micrsft 2008 perating system requires WinPcap. Yu can dwnlad WinPcap frm Fr upgrading frm Scpia Management versin 8.3/8.3 FP1 and internal database (PstgreSQL) and the redundancy case, fllw this prcedure: Step 1 Back up Scpia Management as described in the Backup and Restre Prcedures chapter f the Installatin Guide. Fllw this backup/restre prcedure fr redundancy with internal database (PstgreSQL) deplyment: Step 1 Make sure that the Backup r restre is nly n the Master Scpia Management server. Step 2 Befre starting the restre prcedure, stp the standby Scpia Management service. Step 3 After the restre prcedure is cmpleted n the Master server, the Master server restarts autmatically. Step 4 After the Master server restarts cmpletely, start the standby server. The restred cnfiguratin files and database are autmatically synchrnized t the standby server. Aut backup limitatin If Scpia Management is installed n Windws 2008 r 2012, Scpia Management can save backup files n the lcal machine r netwrk path. But if Scpia Management is installed n Windws 2003, Scpia Management can nly save the backup files n the lcal machine. The administratr prtal supprts the fllwing languages: English, French, Simplified Chinese and Japanese. But sme events/alarms messages remain in English because they cme frm ther devices / endpints. In certain cases the displayed number f registered endpints in the system menu is inaccurate. Click n the Refresh buttn t display the right number. After adding a new virtual rm, the user needs t relgin t use it t schedule a new meeting. Recurrent meetings scheduled frm the Micrsft Exchange server Addin, cannt be mdified frm Outlk Web This is a Micrsft Web Outlk 2013 bug. Fr the Micrsft Exchange Server plugin installatin, we have different installers fr the different majr released versins f the Exchange Server. The fllwing Exchange Server versins are supprted: Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3 (SP3) (Rllup 9) Exchange Server 2013 Service Pack 1 (SP1) (CU8) Exchange upgrade: Fr minr Exchange Server versin upgrades, if, fr example, yu already installed the plugin n Exchange Server 2013 (SP1, CU3) and then upgraded t a minr versin like 2013 (SP1, CU4), the server plugin cntinues t wrk. Fr a majr Exchange versin upgrade, fr example, frm Exchange Server 2010 t Exchange Server 2013, yu need t reinstall the server plugin after the upgrade. Fr Scpia Classic MCU manually cascading with Scpia Elite MCU, the Scpia slutin versin 8.3 nly supprts the simple cascading mde. The Scpia Classic MCU is nt supprted if Scpia Management wrks in VaaS license mde. Fr Dual NIC case nly, if there are tw r mre IP addresses cnfigured n the Scpia Management server, please try t cnfigure which IP address is wrking fr the Sip server. 11 then restart Avaya Sip server service. After install Scpia management, the Scpia Management installer changes the dynamic prt range as belw t avid the dynamic prts cnflict fr Scpia cmpnents. If the fllwing dynamic prts range setting des nt fit fr yur netwrk r firewall setting, yu can use the cmmand Netsh int ipv4 set dynamicprt tcp start=1052 num=3974 (the 1052 and 3974 are just exmaple) t change the dynamic prt range setting after install Scpia Management. Prtcl tcp Dynamic Prt Range Start Prt : Number f Prts : If Windws security grup plicy is cnfigured n the server, it might cause Scpia Management install prcess stuck because the Windws security grup plicy might blck the install prcess t cnfigure PstgreSQL database service. Then we have the fllwing wrk arund t cmplete the install prcess: 1) If the Scpia Management install prcess gets stuck fr mre than 5 minutes when install PstgreSQL. 2) Open the windws Task manager, find the prcess installplicy.exe, kill it, and then the Scpia Management install prcess will be able t cntinue and cmplete. 12 Knwn Issues ECS Gatekeeper This sectin details the list f limitatins and issues that remain unreslved in this versin. Table 3: List f knwn issues fr this versin Case Number Descriptin f issue If yu get a java is ut f date errr message after lgging in t the ECS standalne administrative interface, we recmmend fllwing the steps belw: 1. Update t the latest versin f Java frm 2. After updating, pen the Java Cntrl Panel, Security tab and add the ECS URL as an exceptin. Interperability issues with ECS: H.245 channels are nt cnnected when a Cisc (Tandberg) Cdian MCU calls via ECS. Vide IVR des nt functin prperly with LifeSize endpints running versin 4.0 and belw. Upgrading the LifeSize endpints t a later versin reslves the issue. Vide may nt display crrectly when calling a SCOPIA MCU frm an external Cisc Endpint. On rare ccasins the ECS service might fail t start (Errr 1053). T recver, execute the fllwing actins: Stp the SNMP service Start the ECS service Start the SNMP service On rare ccasins the ECS service is stpped when retrieving the ECS CsPackage. This situatin ccurs nly in Windws Line hunting fails when tw r mre gateways are registered t the ECS, and ne f the gateways returns a destinatinrejectin reasn in the Release Cmplete message. In such cases, the ECS attempts t cnnect calls nly via the gateway which returns the Release Cmplete message and ignres ther registered gateways. The gkalternredundancy SNMP trap is cleared and resent apprximately every 30 secnds if the master and slave gatekeeper licenses allw different capacities. Yu must rebt yur cmputer after perfrming these settings: Adding r mdifying an IP address Binding t a specific IP address Mdifying the NIC definitin in the ECS Nte: The perating system des nt prvide a prmpt befre rebting in this case Yu cannt view lg files via the FTP server when wrking with Windws Slve this prblem by enabling an annymus user in the IIS settings. When using predefined endpints: After changing the DHCP mde setting, yu must redefine the endpints. If yu change the setting f the DHCP envirnment in the zne checkbx in the Basics sectin f the Settings tab after defining the endpints, the endpints d nt register successfully. 13 DHCP t nndhcp mde and vice versa. Nte: DHCP mde in the ECS is different frm the TCP/IP DHCP mde. ECS DHCP is a mde f peratin in which the ECS can accept mre than ne registratin frm the same IP address. T enable this mde, select the DHCP checkbx. Changing the default ECS installatin prt (prt 80) causes incrrect peratin f the web interface fr the Prduct Family Entry Pint. Frwarding fails when wrking with endpints that supprt encryptin in H.245 ruted mde. Frwarding fails when fast start is used. When a neighbr gatekeeper has tw zne prefixes, the gatekeeper check bxes appear unchecked when yu reedit interzne rules. Release Ntes fr Avaya Scpia Management Suite Knwn Issues ECS Gatekeeper 13
